Chapter 2575 - Demon Realm Amusement Park ⑥

As soon as we entered the Aqua Area, everyone was left overwhelmed. It was supposedly only one of the seven areas, yet it was absurdly vast. Half of it consisted of a rocky region filled with craggy mountains, while the other half was made up of the sea and several islands. The sheer scale of it all was staggering.

[……Is all of this really an amusement facility? Amusement parks are incredible.]

[No, even in our world, there aren’t amusement parks on this scale. One area alone might exist somewhere, but seven of them? I doubt there’s anything comparable……]

I replied to Lilia-san, who murmured in amazement. In truth, the Aqua Area by itself might have rivals among large-scale theme parks, perhaps even places that surpassed it. But when you considered that this was only one-seventh of the entire park, there was probably nothing in existence that could compare.

At that size, the maintenance costs alone would surely be astronomical, not to mention the operational expenses. According to Alice, the amusement park Shiro-san created ran on some kind of “mysterious infinite power source”, meaning there were supposedly no operating costs whatsoever. I wondered if that system was also applied to places like the Aqua Area.

If they really could supply energy from Shiro-san’s amusement park through some special method, then the operating costs could probably be kept remarkably low, making a theme park of this scale feasible.

[Anima, this place feels like the visuals were carefully calculated too, right?]

[Yeah. The taller attractions are spaced far apart so the view remains open from the entrance. It’s designed so that the vastness of the area can be understood at a single glance.]

Caraway and Anima discussed the design philosophy, and they were right. The fact that the sheer scale overwhelmed you the instant you stepped inside meant the layout had been intentionally constructed so that much of the park’s enormity could be seen right from the entrance.

Well, considering it had been created through the cooperation of Kuro,  the world’s wealthiest magnate who owned numerous major trading companies, and Alice, who was deeply knowledgeable about amusement parks and other cultural concepts from another world, it made perfect sense.

[……Errr, Dragon Adventure is probably over by those rocky mountains, right?]

[It looks like the course starts from the front, goes through the mountains, then exits into the lake at the back, maybe? If that’s the case, it really does seem like some kind of splash coaster! Let’s go already!]

Urged on by Hina-chan, whose eyes were sparkling with excitement as if her enthusiasm had already hit maximum levels, we all headed toward the attraction we had decided on first: Dragon Adventure.

The entrance had apparently been built at a higher elevation to make it easier to see the entire area, so the path sloped gently downward through the rocky region.

Still, the road itself was extremely wide, and just as Anima had said, the visibility was excellent. Even while walking, we could easily take in the attractions and shops scattered along the way.

[U- Uuuu, everything looks so fun. I wonder what that excavation game is about?]

[It’s in the rocky mountains, so I imagine you dig for ores or fossils or something. Though since it’s an attraction, it’s probably adjusted to make it easy and enjoyable……]

[That sounds amazing…… ngh, there’s just not enough time. There’s nowhere near enough time……]

Even as Hina-chan struggled to resist being drawn in by the attractions we passed along the way…… it was obvious she wanted nothing more than to jump into every single one that caught her eye, but the place was simply too enormous to fully explore in a single day. If we started wandering into attractions outside the plan, conquering all seven areas would become impossible, so she clenched her fists and forcefully held back her desires.

[……It does seem all but certain that the Dragon Kings were used as the motif. There are remarkably detailed dragon models placed all over the area……]

[Indeed. So far we’ve seen models of Blue Dragon, Funnytail, Grap Dragon, and Red Wing, and every one of them was built at the same size as the real creature. The craftsmanship was extraordinarily precise as well. Red Wing’s wings in particular are often mistakenly imagined as red because of the name, but in reality they’re much closer to orange, and even that detail was reproduced perfectly. I must say, it was truly impressive. It makes me even more excited for Dragon Adventure. Since it bears the name “Dragon”, it’s bound to be an attraction related to dragonkind, so we should be able to see multiple species of dragons there. I would be delighted if they even had rare dragon species that are seldom seen, and honestly, I can hardly wait.]

[I- Is that so…… As expected of Milady, your passion for dragons is incredible…… What do you think, Sieg?]

[……I wonder if there’s a section where you can interact with cute monsters……]

[From the sound of it, amusement park attractions probably don’t have that sort of thing……]

Seeing Lilia-san’s excitement soar from the exquisitely crafted dragon models and Sieg-san, who seemed more interested in interacting with real creatures than the replicas, Luna-san let out a small sigh.

Well, this area probably wasn’t really to Luna-san’s tastes…… She loved cute things after all. If we eventually reached a more fancy and adorable-themed zone, I had a feeling her excitement would rise too.

<Afterword>

Serious-senpai : [It’s so peaceful…… Where is it coming from, when’s it going to happen? Is it still a little too early…… Where’s the lovey-dovey atmosphere going to strike from……]

? ? ? : [You’re being absurdly cautious about this.]
