Chapter 488: A Plan That Needs Everyone?
Chapter 488: A Plan That Needs Everyone?
"H-HUH!? WE’RE IN THE HOME OF ONE OF THEM!?" Emilio shouted, abruptly walking back and forth with a fearful expression similar to Viesta.
Lillian smiled wryly, expecting this sort of reaction. In truth, if it were up to her, she would’ve even come close to this place. However... Since it wasn’t up to her and was up to the Jester, she didn’t have that luxury.
But that wasn’t going to stop her from getting everyone out alive.
After managing to calm them down, easing their worries slightly, she was asked an expected question.
Viesta, still rather nervous about the identity of the ruins they were in, asked, "Do you have a plan, Lillian? Ya always do, don’t you?"
Up until this point, Lillian had yet to fail her with her foresight. And she wasn’t going to give up on her trust now.
"A plan?" Lillian repeated before smiling broadly, "I always have a plan for these types of things~..."
And upon saying that, she began to list out the instructions—mainly towards Emilio, Viesta, and Jon, as Lillian had put them in a group.
They felt their shoulders had become incredibly heavy.
The Captain, who was standing to the side, felt rather impatient as he was told that he wasn’t going to be part of their group. But for some reason, he couldn’t help but feel as though this made sense...
After a few minutes of explaining, Lillian handed everyone something.
2 Mana potions and 1 Health potion for each person.
Since the maximum amount of potions she could purchase per day from the system shop was 15, after distribution, she would be left with three potions of her choosing.
Once handing over the potions and also an unusual item to Viesta, who raised an eyebrow at it before putting it away, Lillian slowly pulled out a reflective glass shard.
And reflected on its face was a ghastly, dear skull with a bone crown.
The Jungle Lord.
At first, she was hesitant to summon him for her plan. Was he truly needed? For her plan to succeed, did he really need to be involved? Lillian thought deeply, and with a trembling heart, she decided he was needed.
This reality of hers wasn’t some game. There were always risks of things not going her way.
Upon summoning him, Lillian placed him into Viesta’s group—they were going to need him.
Lillian walked up to Viesta and commented:
"For this plan to work, you’re gonna need to take off your hat, Viesta."
"S-seriously?"
When the woman heard that, she widened her eyes a bit before looking at the girl with confusion clear in her eyes. However, trusting Lillian’s foresight, she took off her heart and threw it into her spatial ring.
After tidying up her hair, Viesta felt Lillian place a hand on her shoulder.
Looking up, she found Lillian staring into her eyes warmly.
"Today... I’m going to listen to your words. The words you told me yesterday." Lillian’s grip on Viesta’s shoulder tightened, "You told me to rely on others instead of just myself, right? Something along those lines... Well, today is the day I heed your words, Viesta."
At this moment, Lillian couldn’t rely completely on herself or the Captain to get the job done.
"Viesta... Just as much as you trust in me, I’m putting all of my trust in you." Lillian then swept her gaze around, eyeing the Captain, Emilio, Jon, and the Wendigo, "In you and everyone standing here at this very moment... I need you all..."
With how she was currently, there was absolutely no way for her to accomplish this plan on her own or with just Captain Righthook, for that matter.
"I can’t do this on my own... And so, I need you all here to help me. To help all of us get out of here alive."
Everyone listened to Lillian’s declaration and felt a sort of emotion spring to life inside their heart. Viesta, especially as she grinned widely and placed her hand on top of Lillian’s.
And, with an accent from a certain Heroine, she said:
"Ya bet! It’s about time we were finally out of the spotlight. You can trust this senior of yours and everyone around you! We’ll get out of here alive! All of us! Just you wait, Lillian, I’ll show you how amazing a member of the Student Council really is!"
Hearing this, Lillian’s eyes sparkled a little bit as she laughed. "Mhm! I’m trusting you, Viesta! Do your best, alright?"
"Same to you, kick ass, Lillian!"
Viesta watched as Lillian walked towards the Captain, who had sprouted a pair of wings, and watched as they shot towards the sky, aiming for the giant glowing sphere in the sky.
Once they left, she breathed a shaky sigh as she looked towards everyone behind her before settling her gaze towards the temple in the distance.
Her eyes lingered on a line of mana that sprouted from the temple, which ended at the sphere in the sky—they were connected.
Then, with a steeled heart and a brave expression, she yelled, "Let’s go, we have a plan to accomplish!"

Lillian and the Captain shot through the sky, closing in on the suspended debris in the sky before feeling a sudden force wrap around them like they had met an invisible barrier.
They felt the force probe their body and identified them as living.
It then pushed down on them with tremendous force, which caused the Captain to falter. However, like a typical pirate that he was, he was too stubborn to fail.
Upon landing on the ground, the Captain enhanced himself to the limit with mana before making a booming leap that caused the ground beneath to crack.
And summoning his cutlass, he roared out:
"[2nd Technique of the Deep Sea Hunter: Harpoon Thrust]!"
With the appearance of an illusory harpoon around their bodies, they shot through the air like a shooting star, managing to pierce through the mysterious force, which was surprised by the speedy object.
With the target being the glowing sphere with coral patterns, the nearer they got, the stronger the resistance forced upon them became. The pressure exuding from the sphere was overwhelming and cold.
However, with a raging flame in his heart that could only be put out by the mightiest of tsunamis, the Captain roared out savagely and—
"HRRRAAAAAAAH!"
—Managed to pierce through the resistance.
With the resistance, now a mere shadow of itself, Lillian and the Captain entered into the glowing sphere, causing everyone to go white as they were now in an entirely new world...
