I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess

Chapter 517: The Exit Portal?

Chapter 517: The Exit Portal?

"I’m not a criminal!"

With her back against the wall, and her hands raised frantically in surrender and defence, Lillian shouted:

"I just know the future!"

Captain Righthook, having swung his fist, instantly paused it right before Lillian’s face; his eyes slowly widened at what he heard.

Seeing that she had captured the man’s attention, Lillian gulped and continued, "I-I know the future... That’s why I know that you guys are able to bring my companions back to life..."

"The god... Was it the God of Futures that blessed yar...?"

"No... The God of Fate..."

With the unbelievable words echoing into his ear canals, the Captain slowly turned back to the Seagull Brigade Captain and found him nodding his head a bit; just as shocked...

"She... Speaks the truth again... Impossible..."

Quiet gasps filled the room. The ability granted to the captain of the Seagull Brigade never failed and was always right, thus... This added even more weight to Lillian’s words.

And the fact that she was granted by a God that held control over the concept of Fate of all things held even more weight.

Turning back to the girl, Captain Righthook slowly muttered:

"Yar... How far can yar see...?"

Gulp.

Gulping again, Lillian muttered quietly—already in too deep to back out now:

"I-I know of a great darkness that would some day become the vessel of the cause of all the world’s chaos... And only I know of it, so..." Lillian straightened her back, adopting a look of confidence, "It would be in your best interest to revive my companions, captain of the Blackbeard Cutlass."

Captain Righthook took an unconscious step back, continuing to gaze at Lillian’s face before narrowing his eyes slowly.

Taking a step forward and leaning his face closer, he tried to intimidate the girl.

"Yar speak as though yar have leverage over me, little girl... What makes yar think that yar I will do as yar ask?"

"Because I know something that you wouldn’t want anyone outside of the people here to know—the fear of the unknown. Who knows when a beast you cannot fight will appear? Who knows when the chance to gather material to repair Noah’s Ark may appear..."

Lillian bowed.

"So, please... Please revive my companions, and my gratitude towards you will be plentiful. We are all fighting for the same goal... The betterhood of humanity, so why not have some better fighters on your ship?"

Captain Righthook, seeing as Lillian bowed towards him, looked towards the captain of the Seagull Brigade and found him frowning slightly.

Not because he detected lies in what Lillian said, but because he could no longer tell. To use his ability, he needed to have constant eye contact with the individual.

However, with the fact that Lillian hadn’t spoken a single lie or anything suspicious, he decided it wasn’t necessary to authenticate her words by giving away how his ability worked.

And this.

This was all part of Lillian’s plan.

’Honesty truly does build trust between people, even strangers.’

But not only that, by mentioning the God of Fate, who she had long suspected to be the mysterious Lady Luck, it would make them much more hesitant to oppose her.

For no one foolish enough would dare go against a person blessed by Fate itself.

Lillian watched as Vulcrum stood before each of her companions’ corpses. Her eyes shone as a child-like emotion appeared within her chest, watching as a warm and embracing light emerged from the man’s staff.

Squinting through the light, she watched as the criminals who were leashed screamed their voices out to be freed. However, much to their misfortune, they weren’t let free as their souls were and dormant mana was offered to Purgatory.

And in exchange... Purgatory responded back with souls of its own.

It was a divine spectacle that captured Lillian’s attention, but not enough to where worry began to appear within her heart.

[0m: 5s]

She clutched the air tightly, transforming her hands into fists as her knuckles turned white.

[0m: 4s]

Lillian watched, her body tensed as Vulcrum still hadn’t finished. Her eyes darkened, and fear gripped her heart.

[0m: 3s]

Raising her right hand, she clutched the necklace wrapped around her neck as she prayed that Vulcrum would make it in time.

’Please...’

[0m: 2s]

She had waited 7 days for this contingency... She had planned for this... So, please!

[0m: 1s]

’Please go as planned!’

[0m: 0s]

Soon enough, the light from Vulcrum’s staff died down, but the corpses of Viesta, Emilio, and Jon remained unmoving.

Then, without even a sound of warning—

{This World will now be plunged into a state of Stillness.}

—The entire world around here became monochrome.

{You have 3 minutes to make your way to the Exit Portal}

Thud...

Lillian collapsed onto her knees as she watched the world’s colours drain away, replaced by shades of black and white.

The colours of her clothes, her eyes, the colour of her blood too... They all turned a shade of black or white.

Everyone, apart from her and Nearlo, was trapped in a state of Stillness; unmoving, including... The only person who could bring back the dead...

"I-I... But I..." Lillian’s eyes became blank as she muttered in a broken voice, "But I did everything right... Why... Why aren’t you guys alive yet...?"

Lillian gazed at Viesta’s body, her face wrinkling as the muscles around her eyes tried to hold back a flood. She gripped the charm of her necklace harder as she felt like she would have a heart attack any moment.

Nearlo, who had broken out of his daze after meeting Captain Righthook again, made his way over to Lillian and grabbed her by the arm, trying to pull her up to her feet.

"Come on, matey... We have to get going or else we’ll fall..."

Lillian slowly turned her head towards Nearlo like a broken cog. She bit her bottom lip and clenched her jaw as she wiped her nose and eyes with the back of her arm.

Standing up properly, she looked towards the Exit Gate, which had manifested right behind the corpse of the Drowned King.

Gazing at the swirling green portal in the distance, Lillian began to walk forward before stopping before Viesta.

She... She should bring back her body...

Crouching down beside Viesta, Lillian held a hand out to her, hovering it above her, but then... She realised something.

The wounds on Viesta’s body had disappeared, even the wound that caused her death had vanished.

In surprise, Lillian looked towards the others and found them to have the same condition.

Could it be... That Vulcrum’s ability was almost finished?

Lillian gritted her teeth, feeling even more despair as she turned her head away from Viesta. After a moment, Lillian breathed in a deep sigh before turning back.

But then!

"BOO!"

"W-WAAAH—!"
