Lillian continued to read through the description about her Mana Realm and couldn’t help but frown a bit.
Other than how mysterious it was—
"What? That’s it?"
—It didn’t quite help her outside of anything else.
Lillian sighed, visibly disappointed that her awaited Mana Realm ability wasn’t that great.
"I guess it isn’t all too bad..."
Looking around, Lillian realised that her new Trait [Water Maiden] would benefit well inside her realm, with all the water and moisture around her.
Lillian hummed.
Deciding that it was time to take a look at her title section, Lillian gently dragged her finger across the screen.

[Title: Heiress of the Drowned King]

Lillian stared at the name of the title, her eyes glazing over as a memory from a recent past resurfaced in her mind.

[Flashback]
Drip... Drip...
Lillian, having managed to slip past the Drowned King’s stab, stood before the Sea King with an arm through his chest.
The two lingered in place, silent, until Lillian eventually broke the silence.
"You... Gave up?" Lillian asked, confused, as her water drill broke apart and fell, fusing with the water below.
The harpoon of the Drowned King did the same thing.
Feeling whatever lifeforce he might have had fading away, the Drowned King smiled, not bothering to face the girl who had pierced through his heart.
He instead stared up at the clouds of her serene realm.
The Drowned King then muttered:
"There... Wasn’t much point fighting any longer... Other than the fact that I didn’t wish to inhabit a female body, I realised one other thing..." The Drowned King grabbed onto Lillian’s arm and pulled it out of his chest.
Like a broken faucet, blood gushed out of him—and yet—he still remained standing.
"If I were to ever achieve my goal of revenge, what sort of goal would appear after that? Destroy Noah’s Ark? Amass an army and become an even powerful Sea King to someday overtake the other Sea Kings?"
He shook his head at the thought.
"Besides my revenge, there isn’t anything else that would keep me going... The only reason I’ve ever taken a high-ranking position is to grant my family a better position aboard Noah’s Ark. With them gone... My strength and position means nothing to me."
Holding a hand over the gaping hole in his chest, he dyed his hand red. The Drowned King then locked eyes with Lillian, a slight smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
"On the other hand, you have someone to go back home to. So, let’s make a deal..."
"A dea—? MMPH!?"
The Drowned King dashed forward and clasped his bloodied hand around the entirety of Lillian’s face, holding her still with a firm and tight grip.
"One day, the Storm King will birth or crown an heir, I’m certain. I wish to beat him in that regard. So, this is the deal: I shall grant you all that I currently have. In exchange, you will finish my business and exact my revenge. Not on the man himself, but his heir..."
The moment his words left his mouth, mana within Lillian’s realm became extremely active as they swirled around the two of them as though some divine pact was being created.
And midway through the process, a dense fog began to appear off in the distance, quickly narrowing the distance and swallowing the two of them.
Lillian, struggling to free herself from the Drowned King’s grip, felt some kind of binding wrap around her mana core against her consent.
Looking through the gaps in the Drowned King’s fingers, her vision became obstructed due to the dense fog, with the only thing she was able to make out being the Sea King’s glowing gold eyes that soon faded out of existence like a blown-out flame.

[Title: Heiress of the Drowned King]
[Description: The Drowned King was a vengeful Sea King who had no original plan of bearing or crowning an heir to his position. His only goal after his ascension was to end those responsible for all that he had lost. However, upon further reflection, he realised that if he were to one day perish without achieving his goal, then his efforts would be all for nothing. So, he decided to force his will and goal onto Lillian Ker Arius in exchange for his authority and possessions.]
Today was May 3rd, the day after everyone returned from the Trial.
Unfortunately, unlike everyone apart from Nearlo, Lillian forgot to get any sleep last night—entranced in the thought of using Acus Maris against the Jungle Lord inside her Mana Realm.
Fortunately, though, due to entering the 3rd Tier, loss of sleep wouldn’t impact her heavily unless she were to miss several days in a row. Thus, she was still filled with energy.
"You really are Nearlo, my eyes weren’t tricks on me after all!"
Lillian looked back, finding Nearlo—who had reverted back to the form of Captain Righthook—being pestered by Emilio.
"I have all your action figures! Did you really kill that kraken all by yourself back then?!" Emilio asked.
"Arr... After finding out about me hidden identity, yar has been chatting non-stop, matey! And yes, I did kill that horrific 16-tentacled beast all by myself!"
It was safe to say that Nearlo wasn’t a fan of Emilio knowing who he really was now.
However, what he was a fan of was his newly bought black cutlass.
Last night, right before he went to bed, he had made an offer for Lillian’s cutlass—something that Lillian had planned would happen.
With the low, low price of what she needed to pay for the Captain’s services of teaching his Combat Style to her, she sold it to him.
Standing at the bow of the ship, she watched other sea vessels pass by them. Where did they come from? Well... They came from the harbour that they were close to docking at.
