I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess

Chapter 521: Acus Maris?

Chapter 521: Acus Maris?

Upon summoning the harpoon’s description, Lillian was met with a tsunami of texts.

[Item Name: Acus Maris]

[Item Type: Weapon]

[Item Grade: A]

[Item Rank: 4]

[Item Description: Thalassoth — a Great whale that was once heralded as a catastrophic myth out at sea by brave seafarers, who soon returned to Noah’s Ark out of terror.

[According to the tales, this Great Whale had a body capable of eclipsing an entire island, was capable of summoning catastrophic storms with its roar and pulling entire tides into its maw until everything was made bare.

[For an existence like this, many theorised this beast was most likely the mount or subordinate of a great and feared Sea King—more accurately, the Storm King.

[When these rumours reached the ears of the newly ascended Drowned King, still at the peak of his strength, he immediately set off to slay the Great whale out of hatred and spite for the Storm King.

Upon finding the Great whale and proving it to be real, he initiated the first attack; their confrontation caused waves to rise, whirlpools to stir, and tsunamis to grow.

[Both of them, not willing to let the other escape, dragged each other down into the deepest depths of the Sinking Sea, where the sun’s light couldn’t reach. Eventually, after many days and several weeks, the Drowned King rose to the surface of the sea, dragging the corpse of the Great whale by its tail.

[As a sign of mockery to the Storm King, he forged Acus Maris from the corpse of the dying titan, despite his poor skills in craftsmanship. But to his dismay and bitter disappointment, the Great whale bore no connection to the Storm King—as told by the Sea King himself.]

[Enchantments: Binding of the Drowned, Acus Mark, Deep Sea Annihilation]

[Binding of the Drowned: Targets struck or about to be struck by Acus Maris would find themselves affected by a gravity-like force; they would either find themselves dragged in line with Acus Maris or anchored to the ground.]

[Acus Mark: Upon infusing your mana signature into Acus Maris, you would be able to transform it into a mark on your body and soul. The effects of Acus Mark are:

1. Unless your Mana Core were to be destroyed, Acus Maris would always remain by your side, either in a spiritual form or physical.

2. Grants the wielder immunity to crushing pressure or drowning.

3. Will always be able to be called upon and recalled into your hand at any given moment. Only one Acus Maris can exist at a time.

4. Unless the wielder bore the Acus Mark or the title involving the [Drowned King], all actions—even simple—with Acus Maris won’t work.]

[Deep Sea Annihilation: An enchantment with the sole purpose of killing the Storm King in mind. Sealed within the glowing veins of Acus Maris is an abyssal pressure so immense that even the ocean trenches can’t compare.

[By channelling a massive amount of mana and having Acus Maris absorb all ambient moisture, the wielder can unleash one singular attack that—at the point of impact—releases a cataclysmic implosion in the form of a collapsing void, relative to how much mana and moisture were used.

[This attack cannot be redirected. Due to sloppy handiwork, these are the blacklashes after use: the wielder would be inflicted with severe internal strain, temporary collapse in mana regeneration for several minutes, brief immobilisation of the arm used to attack, and consecutive use may cause permanent damage.]

"It’s... A lot bigger in person..." Lillian blinked in awe, having to manually scroll through the entire thing.

She hadn’t yet seen such a massive description in person; even her necklace or mask didn’t have an overall description this big.

Although it was unfortunate that the Drowned King wasn’t able to max out his harpoon with enchantments, with two slots remaining.

Rubbing the back of her head, Lillian shrugged.

’I can’t do much about that... Can’t add any more enchantments onto it now that it was made.’

Not like she would need to.

However, what did bum her a bit were the drawbacks of the Drowned King’s sloppy handiwork.

But that was fine.

"Hehehe..." Lillian made a silly expression as she continued to admire the weapon.

For putting her and everyone’s life on the line one after another, especially while fighting the Drowned King, and going through the thought that her plan didn’t work...

This was an excellent reward to have.

And if she recalled correctly, everyone else got quite the nice ability from the Trial as well.

No elements from what she remembered, but rather versatile abilities.

Lillian rubbed her chin in thought, looking back at the party they had just had.

’If I remember right, Viesta bragged about getting a Shard from killing the Drowned King like me...’

Viesta, who was so deep in alcohol, boasted about her Shard. Unfortunately, she was too drunk to summon it, which was probably a good thing in case she somehow managed to use it.

Wouldn’t want the ship—the only thing they could stand on, considering where they were—broken.

"Well, then. I should get to connecting myself with this." Lillian said, moving into a cross-legged position as she held Acus Maris.

Closing her eyes and falling into a meditative state, Lillian cycled her mana throughout her body before slowly pushing it towards her hands that were wrapped around the harpoon.

While the process wasn’t hard, it did feel long and tedious as she had to coil her mana around Acus Maris’s.

However, slowly but surely, she was able to do it.

With her eyes still closed, Lillian’s face twitched as searing pain akin to being branded with a hot-red iron appeared next to her heart, on her Mana Core.

Although the pain was slightly more amplified due to it happening on such a sensitive piece of organ...

’At this point, I’m just unfazed.’ With all that had happened, this might be one of the mellowest pains she had experienced so far.

After the pain had ceased, Lillian opened her eyes and found Acus Maris to have vanished without a lingering trace.

Searching over her body for the mark, Lillian’s eyes managed to catch a glimpse of it in the centre of her left palm.

The mark took on the form of a tattoo of a small harpoon that glowed a faint blue light whenever Lillian’s mana occasionally passed through her hand.

After a moment of scrutiny, Lillian smirked at the placement of the mark—highly satisfied and even pleased, since she couldn’t dictate where it might appear.

In a slow and purposeful manner, Lillian pinched the mark with her hand and slowly pulled out the harpoon, watching as its entire 180cm length stretched out from her hand.

It was a strange, but jaw-dropping sight to behold. And definitely one that made Lillian roll around childishly on her back over how—

"So coool~!"

Cool it was.

She could already imagine the scenes of her pulling out Acus Maris from her palm during dramatic situations; this would most definitely rack up some points for her.

Lying down on her back, Lillian continued to look up at the sky and found the darkness to now have a vibrant hint of orange at the very edge.

It was almost morning.

’I guess we partied for a while...’

Lillian sat up with a wry smile.

’Alright, I should move onto the next thing.’

Crossing her legs again and closing her eyes, Lillian fell into a meditative state. After a moment, she later opened them and looked around, finding herself within her Mana Realm again.

Standing up, Lillian waved her hand, summoning her system screen and decided to look at the new section on it.

[Mana Realm].
