I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess

Chapter 590: Making the First move?

Chapter 590: Making the First move?

As one of the three nobles was about to ask about the gloves, they then heard the ringing of a bell in the far distance.

DING! DING! DING!

The three turned craned their heads back to where they came from.

"Was that a signal for everyone to come back?" Alderwick asked.

"I think it was..." Fenlow muttered.

Marris rubbed his chin, "If it was, then..." He turned his head back to Marionette, "Miss, let’s go back shall we? We can still get to know each other on the way ba—"

HISS-CRACK!

Before the Marris could even finish his sentence, Marionette had thrown a palm-sized ball against the ground.

The orb was made completely out of metal and was made out of several different parts, like it was a puzzle; etched and painted on the side of it was the Roselle branding.

When the ball hit the ground, its puzzle-like body cracked out with a sharp HISS before exploding outwards.

Coming from within the core of the ball was an electromagnetic field that shot outwards within a fraction of a second, covering a diameter of ten metres.

The size of the field was more than enough to cover all three nobles, attendants, and her.

The attendants found themselves startled as they felt multiple mobile devices and electronics on their persons begin to short-circuit and break; a similar reaction sprang up from the three nobles.

Whatever gadgets, items, or electronics they had on their person that would assist in their looks, smell, etc, were rendered useless - overheating to the point they needed to strip themselves of the item.

Along with those items were what Marionette could identify as cameras, small cameras and portable cameras that could be attached to a person’s clothing.

They were most likely set to be on recording or were sending live footage of what was happening.

Marionette wasn’t entirely sure and was now unable to as what she had done had now completely fried the camera and its recordings.

What she had thrown earlier was essentially an EMP grenade, a common item that her family utilised when out on missions.

Luckily, like any sane person with a spatial storage, Marionette had already tossed everything electronic into there.

However, it seemed like - besides their phones - the three nobles weren’t so fortunate.

They backed away from their electronics that laid broken on the ground, their faces morphing into shock before writhing into anger as they looked towards Marionette.

"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF—" The Alderwick shouted, but was quickly interrupted as Marionette suddenly sped over to him, at a speed his body couldn’t react to.

With a swift twist of her body, Marionette spun and—

BAM.

—Kicked the side of Alderwick’s chin, knocking him immediately unconscious.

The two other nobles widened their eyes immediately, shocked by the sudden attack.

Taking an immediate step back, they threw all the questions they had in mind and took a defensive stance.

However, right before they could utilise their magics, abilities, Shards, or even order their bodyguards—

BAM.

—Marionette had already knocked them both unconscious with her kicks.

Well, they were what she had hoped.

Before Marionette could make her way over, she was immediately intercepted by the three attendants, who had now processed that she was hostile.

The first placed his hands on the ground and manipulated the stone path beneath Marionette’s feet, causing it to become fluid and uneven, with the intention of making her lose balance.

The Second sprouted wings before taking to the skies, her body wrapped in a wind that boosted her speed. She soon summoned a fullset of bronze-coloured armour, a shield, and a spear, making her appear like a valkyrie.

The Third was covered in a rigid, black armour that closely resembled that of a rhinoceros beetle - soon summoning a large battle axe, which he wielded with ease.

The two nobles weren’t idle either, summoning all sorts of items onto their bodies before targeting Marionette with their element - Water and Fire.

Time slowed down.

Marionette glanced around, her pupils blurring as she analysed the situation and her position.

After constructing a plan of self-defence, Marionette briefly thought without panic:

’I should have stretched first.’

Leaning completely back, Marionette dodged a diving stab from the Valkyrie.

SWIP.

Looking over the side of the Valkyrie’s ribcage - which was protected by her armour - Marionette rapidly twisted her upperbody and clenched her right hand into a fist.

Then—

BAM!

—Slammed her mana-covered knuckles against the bronze armour.

With an immense amount of force behind her blow, the Valkyrie was blown away - crashing into a tree; her armour remained undamaged after the attack.

Marionette then fell back, dropping into a puddle of darkness that expanded behind her - just narrowly missing—

THUD!

—Being crushed under the sharp edge of the Third attendant’s axe.

The Earth Mage, who had warped the ground, quickly realised that he had lost Marionette.

He lifted himself off the ground and returned the path to normal, but still failed in detecting Marionette’s whereabouts. He then deployed his other ability, which acted as a radar - detecting things through vibrations.

Ding...!

With a resounding soft chime, he detected Marionette’s whereabouts.

She was behind him!

With an immediate turn on his heel, he swiftly managed to cover himself in a thick armour of stone - much tougher than concrete; tougher than even metal!

However, it was a futile effort of defence.

Shooting out from a dark puddle situated behind the Earth Mage, reaching a metre into the air. Then, with a swift spin, Marionette whipped her leg out - kicking at the side of the Earth Mage’s head and—

CRUSH.

—Shattering through the stone helmet he used to protect himself.

The sound of Marionette’s powerful kick echoed out with a BAM. The Earth Mage was left in a ghastly daze as he hadn’t expected to meet such a person with this type of strength.

If he weren’t Tier 3, he would’ve been knocked out instantly by that kick!

What kind of strength did this woman have?!

With this kind of strength, it would’ve made the man assume the woman was a Tier 3 if his innate ability as a Tier 3 mage didn’t say otherwise.

Marionette’s body, which was heavily enhanced to the point that she was able to contend with Tier 1 mages - at the peak of their rank - when she was still a young adolescent, was further strengthened after her recent surgery.

The reason: her Trait - Darkness Empowerment.

As long as she was within close proximity to darkness, her strength would continue to grow - the only flaw with this passive ability was that her boost would become limited unless the darkness around her grew bigger.

Recovering from the blow he sustained, the Earth Mage decided to go all out.

Dropping completely to the ground, the Earth Mage rested his palms against the dry stone path.

If his client lived, he would still get paid - and if he killed someone, he had a good reason.

He gripped the concrete beneath him, prepared to unleash and mould a cage of spikes around him - intending to skewer Marionette apart.

However, before his mana could even travel to his hands, the ground beneath him suddenly blackened and opened up into a black gate to the void.

Like viscous, sticky tar, the Earth Mage became trapped. He struggled to break free, but his fate was sealed a split second later.

Marionette flipped in the air before dropping and—

BAM!

—Kicking downwards, knocking the mage deeper into the dark abyss until he disappeared completely.

The dark gate soon closed, trapping him inside.

Marionette soon landed on the ground, her eyes narrowing as the darkness slipped back and melded into her shadow.

’Must’ve been a 2nd Tier mage.’

In reality, he was a Tier 3 mage of the average variety.

She then turned her eyes back to the two nobles, but then glanced towards the attendants.

The Assassin only had a few minutes until the Bloodhounds - Darkhound’s elites - caught wind of what was going on.
