Chapter 607: Punishment Through Metal Bindings?
Chapter 607: Punishment Through Metal Bindings?
"Bite me!"
"No."
Lillian grumbled, her face wrinkled with displeasure.
Currently, the two were alone inside a large and spacious room with several pieces of furniture: desks, mirrors, a large round table, a king-sized bed, etc; it was all a person could ever ask for in a room.
The Darkhounds had taken their time in making sure everyone would be comfortable with the homes given; truly an accommodating bunch.
After briskly carrying Lillian into the room and making sure there wasn’t anything suspicious planted within it, Marionette was suddenly thrown onto the bed by the Rabbit, thus leading to their current situation.
With her rear planted on Marionette’s hips, Lillian sat on the Assassin, who was lying down straight; her head resting on the soft pillow of the bed.
Continuing to watch Lillian try to convince her, Marionette sighed in a tired tone, while being partially amused by Lillian’s displeased face.
"I’ve already told you I won’t bite you and that I don’t need your blood. I’ fine. Please try to understand that, Lillian."
The Rabbit grumbled again, "How could I possibly think you’re fine when you almost killed someone? Especially when you haven’t been given any orders that you can."
Lillian knew that in order for Marionette to be able to go through with taking a person’s life, she would need to be given permission by someone in the Roselle family - either that or it was necessary to preserve her life.
The Roselles weren’t bloodthirsty monsters who would randomly kill people for no reason. Instead, they were reasonable to a certain extent, as long as it benefited them; they were just a bit odd, that’s all.
Marionette blankly stared at Lillian, blinking with an expressionless face - completely indifferent.
"So? She was a threat."
"Hah?" Lillian raised an eyebrow, greatly puzzled, "How was she a threat?! If I recall what happened correctly, which only happened just a few minutes ago, you’re the one who attacked her first!"
Marionette’s dark veins shifted a little bit.
The Assassin’s eyes narrowed slightly at Lillian’s words before relaxing. Then, with her face still displaying indifference, she asked:
"Doesn’t matter. She was a threat to both of us." Marionette then paused for a brief second before asking. "And if I recall, that woman was clinging to you a bit too much. Why is that?"
Swiftly changing the subject, Marionette asked, "You do realise that you shouldn’t allow anyone other than me to do that, right?"
"Oh, come on, Marionette!"
Lillian bent her body forward and planted both her arms beside Marionette’s head, gripping the pillow underneath the Assassin.
"Aurelia was only doing that because you were scaring her!" Lillian argued with a frustrated face. "And I had only met her today."
"Aurelia, hm? So, that’s her name..." Marionette outwardly thought.
Then, she argued back, "That woman was clinging to you before I even got there, so that invalidates your point. And you two couldn’t have possibly gotten close enough to where she was comfortable enough to cling to you."
Lillian’s face twitched, "You’re being unreasonable here, Mari—!"
"And what if something happened to you?"
The Rabbit paused at the Assassin’s interruption, becoming even more confused.
"What...? What are you trying to say?"
Marionette frowned, "I’m trying to say, what if something happened to you? For all you know, she might’ve just been trying to get closer to you for some ulterior motive."
Raising her right hand from underneath Lillian, Marionette cupped the Rabbit’s cheek and brushed her thumb against it; her eyes then shone a jealous light.
"So many people tried to take you away from me tonight... what if she was one of those people as well?" Marionette’s jealousy then turned protective, "What if she had tried to hurt you? Or even worse, somehow took your life?"
Lillian’s eyes shone with a complicated light at Marionette’s worry for her.
She sighed and cupped Marionette’s hand.
"Aurelia isn’t that type of person. That little girl is a victim of bullying because of her identity and is incapable of defending herself. How can someone like her, who is also much weaker than me, possibly take my life?"
"There are plenty of ways for the weak to kill the strong."
Marionette tightened her grip on Lillian’s face.
"And you’re making it sound like you’ve known her for a long time..."
Lillian smiled wryly, "That’s because I kind of do."
"Excuse me?"
Hearing this, Marionette’s eyes narrowed dangerously. With a twist of her body, she flipped Lillian onto her back and straddled the girl’s hips.
Following that, she spread her hands towards Lillian’s wrist and pinned them down - eliminating any chances for the Rabbit’s escape.
Lillian allowed this to happen without resistance, having expected this sort of outcome. It’s not like she could lie to Marionette, considering the Assassin could easily read her.
With a wry smile, she looked back into Marionette’s eyes and found them to be expressing a look of hurt.
"So, you’ve been lying to me... all this time?" Marionette spoke in an infuriated tone, "This... This is quite the betrayal, Lillian... And for what? For a person who doesn’t love you as much as I do?"
Lillian sighed, "That’s not what I meant when I said that. I was just trying to say that I know of her, but not personally. That’s all."
The Rabbit then added, "Aurelia’s family just owns a clothing business that I really like, that’s just how I know about her.
"I see..." Marionette whispered, slowly releasing one of Lillian’s arms - causing the Rabbit to let out a sigh of relief.
Looks like there was some part of Marionette that was still reasonable.
As Lillian was about to say something else, she noticed in the corner of her eye that Marionette’s face began to be shrouded in a dark shadow.
She sensed a bad premonition.
"I’m sorry, Lillian, but... I don’t think I can trust you, right now."
"Huh?"
Before Lillian could fully process what she had just heard, Marionette had placed an oxygen mask over her nose and mouth.
And within a brief moment, she was administered a harmless gas that knocked her out.
Anaesthesia.
...
...
...
For who knows how long, Lillian remained unconscious. But eventually, she managed to wake up.
Chu.
With intense grogginess, Lillian attempted to wake herself up, trying to clear the fog that built up inside her head.
Chu.
"Mmm..."
’What... happened?’ Lillian thought, her mind moving excruciatingly slow.
Why did she suddenly fall asleep? And what happened before that?
’Why can’t I move...?’
Chu.
’And why do I feel so warm...?’
And why did it feel like something was moving against her lips?
Opening her eyes, Lillian was immediately blinded by the light in the room, having yet to adjust. Where was she?
Once she eventually adapted to the light, she was met with the sight of Marionette’s face; the Assassin’s lips fully pressed up against hers.
Her girlfriend was sitting on her lap, making out with her!
Chu. Chu. Chu.
Marionette, who had been waiting for Lillian to wake up, finally pulled her lips away from Lillian’s - causing a long strand of saliva to stretch between their mouths.
After the strand snapped, Marionette spoke:
"Awake now, I see? I hope you didn’t mind me indulging myself, while you were sleeping."
Upon hearing Marionette’s question, and snapping out of her grogginess, Lillian immediately took a look around her surroundings - widening her eyes.
She was in a room approximately ten metres long and 20 metres wide; strapped to a chair, bound by chains. The light was slightly dimmed, as though it was losing power, and the walls were covered with strange devices of the same type.
That wasn’t the only thing that was strange about the room, for besides them and the chair, the room was completely empty.
Where on Earth was she?!
"Uhm, I don’t particularly mind, but... I would’ve preferred you doing it when I’m not... chained to a chair?" Lillian chuckled nervously, fidgeting in place. "And how long have I been sleeping for?"
"Hm... around 1-2 hours."
"E-eh...?" Lillian widened her eyes, "And what about where we are?"
"We’re in the basement."
"H-huh!?"
Lillian shuffled in her seat again, causing the chains wrapped around her body to clatter against each other.
Lillian glanced at the chains, growing more and more concerned about her situation. She wouldn’t have ever expected that she would be bound to a chair, by Marionette no less!
"H-hey... can you get me out of this chai—?"
"I refuse."
"Ah..."
’Was this some kind of BDSM?’ Lillian thought, having assumed Marionette wouldn’t suddenly chain her for any malicious reasons, ’Wait, how would she know about that stuff?’
Lillian brainstormed a bit before eventually coming to one conclusion.
Millis.
’Millis definitely had something to do with this! Wait, would she be the kind of person to talk about this stuff?’ Lillian didn’t even need a second to think, ’She definitely is!’
Although Lillian wasn’t the type of person to try new things, she felt like the person who would be bound should be given more context on what was going on, especially in a situation like this!
"Haha, Mari... If you wanted to do these types of things, you could’ve just asked, you know? Haha..." Lillian chuckled, fidgeting in her seat again. "How about we uh...
Upon hearing what Lillian said, and ignoring the nervousness in the girl’s chuckles, Marionette tilted her head at this, then smiled; her eyes becoming half-lidded, as if she was trying to seduce Lillian.
"Are you implying that getting tied to a chair is some sort of sexual activity? That’s quite an interesting thought."
Marionette could definitely see it, considering what she had been doing for the past half an hour or so.
"Unfortunately, I don’t think we will be doing that anytime soon, Lillian." Marionette leaned her forehead against Lillian’s, brushing the tip of her nose against the girl’s. "This will be your punishment for being unloyal to me, Lillian."
Before the Rabbit could even process what she heard, Marionette expanded more on what she said.
Wrapping her arms around the back of Lillian’s neck, Marionette muttered:
"For the remaining time of this event, you will be bound to this chair, unable to leave."
