Immortal Divine Tribulation

Chapter 187: Burn You to Death

Chapter 187: Burn You to Death

The Soaring Dragon Dynasty was in turmoil, as many palaces collapsed in an instant, endless gray fog billowing out from the cracks and engulfing the entire holy land.

Beneath the Underground Palace, Tian Fan stood quietly in the center, the two Soul Shadows behind him had already vanished. Even the black sun above had completely disappeared, directly refined by the gaze of the Demonic Shadow. The deathly aura of this land weakened significantly, causing some black vegetation to wither and crumble into dust.

In the distance, the six individuals stared in shock, their mouths agape. Their bodies felt nearly cold, the overwhelming terrifying pressure from earlier had left them utterly drained, and now they found it difficult to even move a finger.

“Damn it, two old monsters!” Tian Fan exclaimed angrily, his eyes almost blurring as two Soul Shadows emerged from ancient divine scripts and ghostly markings, absorbing all his divine power cleanly.

“Brother…” Little Dragon called out in alarm as Tian Fan’s body suddenly crumpled to the ground. He gasped for breath, on the verge of collapse, sweat pouring from his forehead as if he had completely exhausted his potential.

The little creature summoned the Dragon Yuan Force, rushing towards the fallen Tian Fan. It could be seen that his complexion was rapidly recovering, and within moments he stood up again, his combat power restored to its peak.

“You all should leave, this place is not meant for you to stay.” Tian Fan said as he rose, addressing the six figures in the distance. This was not arrogance; he needed to acquire the Earth Spirit Orb, and no one could stand in his way. Furthermore, he was certain there were others lurking in the shadows…it couldn’t be just the people in the Primordial Unity Realm here to claim treasures.

The Dragon Might in the sky faded away, and the little creature returned to perch atop Tian Fan’s head. Together, they transformed into a beam of light that shot towards the deepest part of the Underground Palace, where a magnificent altar was faintly visible.

“It’s time for us to act!” The deathly aura beneath the Underground Palace completely dissipated. Above in the sky, several figures materialized, their overwhelming pressure cascading down. They exchanged glances without a word, transforming into streaks of light and diving into the dark hole below.

“The treasures belong to the Soaring Dragon Dynasty; no one can snatch them away!” Long Aotian declared coldly, stepping into the black cave.

“Murong Qiu, it’s time for you to return!” At this moment, an elderly man with graying hair stood in the void, his expression emotionless as he regarded a girl in yellow below.

“You… why are you here?!” Seeing the old man, Murong Qiu and the two men beside her instantly changed their expressions, turning and fleeing outside. The old man in the void waved down a ray of divine light, trapping the three in place. The little phoenix glanced at her, then up at the old man, curiously tapping its small head with its colorful wings.

“Let me go!” Murong Qiu cried out, her face losing color as she angrily pounded the transparent barrier with her jade hands.

“In a month, you will marry into the Divine Brilliance Dynasty; return to your family immediately to prepare!” The old man replied coldly, his words unyielding.

“You are that princess!?” Xiang Yufei exclaimed in surprise, turning his head.

“No, I don’t want to marry! Great Elder, please don’t force me to marry that person!” Murong Qiu pleaded desperately.

“Whether you want to marry or not is not for you to decide. Murong Fu, come out and take her back to the family!” The old man spoke harshly, his expression cold as a middle-aged man in blue stepped forward behind him, bowing respectfully to the elder.

“I am a person of flesh and blood, your family member! I don’t like that person! I am not your property, nor a bargaining chip in your deal! Why do you treat me this way? I will not marry, not even if I die!” Murong Qiu shouted at the old man high in the sky, her eyes welling with tears.

“It’s time to go, Second Miss. This is the Elder Council’s decision, even your father cannot stop it!” The middle-aged man stated, a hint of mockery in his demeanor as he stepped into the void, casually advancing towards Murong Qiu.

“You two servants dare to take the young lady out without permission? Do you believe I can ruin you right now!?” He addressed the two men beside her. Though they were frightened, they stood resolutely in front of Murong Qiu. Even though they were her servants, they had grown up together, and she considered them friends.

Xiang Yufei had remained quiet, stepping forward to stand in front of the three.

“Hmph, unworthy youngsters!” Murong Fu sneered, disdain evident on his face as he reached out a large hand.

Xiang Yufei said nothing. His expression was indifferent as his right fist slowly pushed forward.

Bang…

Xiang Yufei was pushed back several steps, and Murong Fu, the middle-aged man, showed an expression of surprise. He knew he was already in the mid-stage of the Primordial Unity Realm, and yet he had only managed to force the other back a few steps. Just how powerful was Xiang Yufei’s physical body?

“Not bad, you have some capital!” He commented, but felt humiliated. A brilliant light blossomed in his right hand, shaking the void itself.

“Stop! Great Elder, make him stop!” Murong Qiu shrieked, looking up at the old man in the sky. She understood the power of this move and knew it couldn’t be stopped without being in the Primordial Unity Realm.

“Hmph!” The middle-aged man ignored her. His right hand pressed down toward Xiang Yufei.

Xiang Yufei wore a grave expression. His hands moved together, unleashing the powers of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth, erupting with elemental energy. A massive Five Elements Treasure Wheel appeared in his hand, shining with gold, green, blue, red, and gray, cycling through and emanating endless elemental force.

Puff…

After a divine radiance emerged, Xiang Yufei spat out a mouthful of blood, sent flying backward into a half-kneeling position on the ground, while Murong Fu was also pushed back a few steps, shock returning to his face.

Cold light flashed in his eyes as he approached, directly attacking the two men before Murong Qiu and sending them flying, leaving them on the ground, spitting blood wildly.

“Oh my God, the bad guy is going to get angry!” The little phoenix perched on Murong Qiu’s shoulder, witnessing the three being sent flying by the middle-aged man, pointed forward with its wings.

“A talking bird? Haha, not a bad pet! Second Miss, your taste is slightly better this time than before.”

“What do you want? Don’t you dare touch it! Little cutie, run away quickly!” Murong Qiu urged anxiously, trying to get the little creature to escape. She had once kept a little rabbit, but it had been crushed by this man, who said that such lowly creatures could not exist in the ancient martial family.

“You two dog servants, I will expel you from the Murong family today! Come on, Second Miss!” Murong Fu said coldly, then grabbed Murong Qiu by the wrist.

In the distance, the two men lay on the ground struggling, blood flowing from their mouths, yet they still attempted to crawl forward.

“Let go of your claws, or I won’t be polite!” The little phoenix pointed at Murong Fu with its colorful wings.

“Hmm? A stinky bird that can talk dares to point at me? Get lost!” Murong Fu scoffed, raising his hand to press down on the little phoenix on Murong Qiu’s shoulder.

Murong Qiu was on the verge of tears, completely immobilized, helplessly watching as Murong Fu’s large hand descended toward her little companion.

Puff…

Yet what no one expected was that Murong Fu was sent flying backward, coughing up blood, his body cracking under the force. He collapsed on the ground, blood streaming, staring in horror at the little phoenix on Murong Qiu’s shoulder.

“My God, no way!?” The little creature exclaimed, eyes wide open in shock at the pitiful state of the man across from it, utterly clueless about what had transpired.

“Little cutie, you… you!?” Murong Qiu exclaimed, holding the little creature in her hands. Even the usually cold Xiang Yufei was astonished, a look of disbelief on his face.

“Well… I didn’t mean to! At that moment, the bad guy was also in the Primordial Unity Realm; I just waved my wings a little! Please, Miss, don’t tell that bad guy!” The little phoenix pleaded, appearing guilty, hoping Murong Qiu wouldn’t disclose this to Tian Fan. In its eyes, this middle-aged man was higher in realm than Tian Fan; it only intended to knock him back, not realizing that this so-called expert was so weak against a mere flap.

It had no idea that the bad guy it often called had already surpassed the Immortal Ascension Realm, possessing a physique more powerful than that of this divine beast.

“Hmph, not bad. This creature is much stronger than the bunny you raised before. At least you have contributed a little to the family before getting married. This farce ends here.” The elder high in the sky said coldly. Although surprised, he did not regard the little phoenix as a serious threat, his expression unchanged as his large hand stretched out toward Murong Qiu.

“Elder, no! I will go back with you!” Murong Qiu screamed, knowing full well the terror of this old man. He was only a step away from stepping into mid-stage Immortal Ascension, a formidable presence throughout the Divine Martial Continent. She feared her little companion might be harmed.

“Too late!” The elder coldly huffed, his expression indifferent, the hand reaching down unchanged, and its force grew even stronger.

Bang…

To everyone’s surprise, the elder was actually pushed back a few steps by the little creature.

“Hmph, little beast, such a tiny body, yet you possess such great strength. Perfect for guarding the home!” The elder’s expression soured; it was unacceptable to be pushed back by what he deemed a mere “beast.” His demeanor turned even colder as a tremendous force bore down towards Murong Qiu, and he himself stepped downward.

“You! You! I will burn you to death!” The little creature cried furiously, the first time someone had called it a little beast, and twice at that! As a Divine Phoenix, how could it swallow that humiliation?

Boom…

The little creature soared from Murong Qiu’s shoulder, its tiny frame releasing an unimaginable terrifying pressure, causing the elder to stagger back at once.

Hiss…

A tiny purple flame shot out from the little phoenix’s mouth. The elder’s large hand pressed down, and if Tian Fan had been present, he would have mourned for this elder. Although the little phoenix did not reveal its true form, that purple flame was its innate divine fire, something even Tian Fan wouldn’t dare casually handle.

“Ah!” The elder’s hand ignited instantly, proving impossible to extinguish. The searing heat from the flames, even his Immortal Ascension physique struggled to bear, emitting a wailing scream akin to a slaughtered pig.
