Immortal Divine Tribulation

Chapter 190: The Enemy

Chapter 190: The Enemy

The cold voice came so suddenly, as if it had traveled from another space-time. The Void ahead split open, and a blurry figure stepped out from within. Tian Fan was utterly shocked; with his current level of Divine Consciousness, he couldn’t even tell when this person had arrived, and he couldn’t see through the layer of misty light. Only a pressure like a mountain made it hard for him to breathe.

Above him, the little creature was extremely alert, staring ahead, its dragon scales nearly standing on end. For the first time, it felt the threat of death.

The five great masters were equally stunned, looking at the blurry figure ahead, their bodies trembling, unable to resist. What they saw today was unimaginable; they realized they could no longer comprehend this world, as someone had appeared who rendered them, as beings from the Immortal Ascension Realm, completely powerless.

“Could it be a living deity!?” The five great masters exchanged glances, each seeing the horror in the other’s eyes.

“Five Spirit Orbs, the strongest power in the world. Heh, you lowly ants of this world can actually create something like this.”

The blurry figure let out a cold laugh, enveloped in a layer of divine radiance. Even with Tian Fan’s current strength, comparable to that of the Immortal Ascension Realm, he couldn’t penetrate it; he could only deduce from the voice that it was a man.

“Who are you!?” Tian Fan took a step back, unable to suppress his trembling. For the first time, he felt such a sensation, realizing he was powerless to resist; the other could easily erase him without any ability to fight back.

“Human? Don’t compare this lord with your lowly race!” The figure was incredibly arrogant, pointing at everything. The people here all changed color as he approached, extending a large hand toward Tian Fan to grab him.

“Roar…” The little dragon growled lowly, its body suddenly enlarging. The massive body of the Divine Dragon swung forward, extending its golden claws, and a vast Dragon Might surged forth.

“Just a mere insect, nothing to be proud of. This lord has personally slain such creatures before!” The figure snorted coldly, instilling terror; he had actually killed a Divine Dragon!

The outstretched hand showed no signs of stopping, with terrifying divine power intertwining within it, directly compressing the little dragon’s body back to its original size. The expressions of everyone present changed; how terrifying was this existence, able to suppress a Divine Dragon with a mere gesture?

The blurry figure sneered, continuing to reach out toward Tian Fan, as the surrounding space froze. Despite Tian Fan and the little dragon exerting all their strength to resist, they still found it impossible to move even a bit.

The five great masters all changed color; this blurry figure was too terrifying, almost demonic.

“Cough…”

Suddenly, a cough echoed from afar, exceptionally old, causing the hand reaching for Tian Fan to be directly repelled.

“Who is it? Come out!”

The blurry figure shouted, two beams of intense divine light shooting out, directly piercing through the space ahead.

“Cough…”

The coughing continued, and an incredibly ancient person stepped toward them from the distance. His hair was completely white, and he was as thin as a withered tree, resembling a corpse, showing no signs of life.

Tian Fan’s body, which had been restrained, was suddenly freed from its bindings. He hurriedly turned to look, seeing a hunched figure with a face full of wrinkles slowly approaching.

Upon closer inspection, he was walking step by step in the Void, but with each step, he seemed to vanish into thin air, appearing several miles ahead. He wore the simplest of cloth garments, like an old farmer from the fields, and in the blink of an eye, he stood before Tian Fan.

“Who are you!?”

The blurry figure spoke, fixating on the old man ahead, clearly wary of this unassuming elder.

“Do you wish to steal the Five Spirit Orbs?” The old man did not answer the question but asked calmly.

“Steal? Hmph, does this lord need to steal? From a lowly race?” The blurry figure replied dismissively.

“Lowly? Is that so? This lowly person hasn’t acted in a long time; why don’t you accompany me for a while?”

The old man said lightly, and they stood there in a standoff, as the surrounding Void continued to crack open, lightning flashing and thunder rumbling, resembling the end of the world.

Boom!

The blurry figure moved, his body shaking, releasing endless pressure. A gigantic golden palm, like a mountain, descended, causing everyone to change color. Who could withstand such might? Even the little dragon shrank its neck in fear.

The white-haired old man showed no fear, striking upward with a thin, withered hand. A silver light formed a massive luminous palm in the air, colliding with the golden palm and blocking it.

“Thud, thud, thud…” The figure on the opposite side staggered back a few steps, astonished at the old man.

Boom!

The mountains shook and the earth trembled, the space fractured. The blurry figure seemed enraged, exuding overwhelming divine might. Cold sweat dripped from the others, feeling as if their bodies were about to crack. Fortunately, the old man merely shook his body lightly, and a faint glow appeared, blocking this pressure.

Two beams of divine light shot from his eyes, severing the Void, tearing the sky apart, sending the blurry figure flying. At the same time, he waved his right hand, which was incredibly thin, yet it solidified hundreds of miles of space, crashing down on the blurry figure’s body, sending it flying, golden blood raining down.

The divine radiance enveloping his body dispersed, revealing his true form. Tian Fan’s expression changed instantly; this body looked exactly like the complete withered bones he had seen in the dark abyss.

“You, lowly race, you have angered the heavenly might. This lord acts in heaven’s stead; your only outcome is death!”

The blurry figure roared menacingly, his body once again enveloped in divine light. Above his head, a white glow appeared, resembling a horn-like object, strikingly similar to the horn of the unicorn ahead, with powerful pressure continuously emanating from it.

In the sky, lightning flashed everywhere, dark clouds gathered, and thunder roared like a tsunami. From a distance, the world appeared to darken, with only the Jade Horn floating in the Void, summoning the Lightning Tribulation from all directions.

In the distant sky, Long Aotian and the others were horrified, seeing the sky filled with dark clouds, with lightning thicker than mountains crisscrossing within. The ground cracked, and the sky shattered; this crimson land was even beginning to transform into a desert.

Tian Fan showed an expression of utter shock; this artifact was truly terrifying, having summoned the Heavenly Tribulation itself, which was somewhat against reason.

“The king of sacred beasts, refined into a weapon? How tragic, how regrettable, how lamentable!”

The old man revealed a sorrowful and angry expression, a beam of heavenly silver light emanating from him, divine power vast as the ocean, crushing everything, scattering the endless thunderclouds in the sky.

The others were once again dumbfounded; this old man was terrifyingly powerful. Above Tian Fan, the little creature’s mouth hung open in shock.

“You, my clan will descend!”

The blurry figure said venomously, somewhat terrified. He had not expected to encounter such an existence. The Void behind him suddenly shattered with a loud bang, a Space-Time Passage appearing, pulling him inside.

“Hmph, still want to escape? Today, I will refine you!”

The old man revealed an unparalleled sharpness for the first time, seemingly very angry. A terrifying wave radiated outward in circles, his large hand reaching out, covering the entire Void, grabbing the blurry figure from the Space-Time Passage.

Tian Fan was dumbfounded; this old man was too abnormal, able to capture someone who had stepped into the Space-Time Passage. How powerful must he be?

“A terrifying old man…” even the little dragon remarked.

“You… what do you want?” The figure was somewhat fearful, feeling like a clay figure in the old man’s thin grasp, unable to break free.

“With your soul, honor the fallen heroes!”

The old man said calmly, with a hint of sadness. Then his eyes instantly turned icy, two beams of divine light shooting out, causing the blurry figure to emit a scream like a slaughtered pig, struggling violently.

“Lowly… human race, heavenly… people… ah…”

He nearly ground his teeth as he uttered these words, his face twisted, seemingly trying to perform some secret technique, but ultimately failed to do so, being completely refined, leaving nothing behind.

Buzz…

The old man gently waved at the sky, the jade-like horn flying into his hand. With a firm swipe of his aged hand, a scream rang out.

“Ah… the Heavenly Ancestor will not spare you, rivers of blood, mountains of corpses, ah…”

The old man sighed softly, putting away the Jade Horn, then turning to Tian Fan and the little creature above him.

“Old man, what do you want? We have no money!” Before Tian Fan could speak, the little creature said, shrinking back in fear, vigilantly staring ahead.

“Hehe, what a lovely little creature…” The old man smiled kindly.

“I have seen the elder!” Tian Fan hurriedly stopped the little creature, stepping forward to bow to the old man.

The old man gently raised his thin hand, a soft power lifting him up. The elder gazed deeply at him, as if peering through time, and said softly, “You’ve grown so much…”

“Elder, what do you mean?” Seeing the old man’s expression, Tian Fan was somewhat surprised, unable to understand why the elder said such a strange thing.

“It’s nothing, young man. You have become stronger, quite impressive!” The old man snapped back to reality, smiling at Tian Fan like a kind elder.

“Elder, have you seen me before?” Tian Fan asked in confusion, as he had no memory of such an old man.

“Do you remember the first time you spied on that little girl?”

“Behind the mountain of the Fist King Sect!”

Tian Fan thought for a moment, and then his expression changed drastically as he exclaimed. At that time, he thought his Divine Consciousness was incredibly strong, but he had not realized that someone had been beside him that night, and he hadn’t noticed at all.

However, he felt a bit embarrassed afterward, saying, “Elder, that wasn’t spying; it was just an accident.”

“By the way, elder, who was that person just now? Why was he so powerful that even the little creature couldn’t match him?”

Tian Fan earnestly asked the old man, fully aware that the elder was definitely an ancient-level existence, a living Ancient God.

“An enemy!”

The old man replied to his question with only these two words, ringing with power, shattering the crimson clouds for thousands of miles.
