Immortal Divine Tribulation

Chapter 192: The Divine Dragon Shocks the World

Chapter 192: The Divine Dragon Shocks the World

In a quiet courtyard within the Soaring Dragon Dynasty, Tian Fan and Long Yuyun stood facing each other, both dressed in white.

“Seventh Brother? Is it really you? You… you’re not dead!?” Long Yuyun’s voice trembled.

“It’s me. I didn’t die…I’m still alive.”

A few short words, yet Tian Fan sounded weary. He had been through too much, but he still forced the brightest smile he could muster.

“That’s great! That’s wonderful!” Long Yuyun’s excitement overflowed. His dearest brother hadn’t died…and now, he was so powerful that even the First and Second Princes were no match for him.

“I’d like to see who has the guts to act so arrogantly here!”

A cold shout came from outside. A middle-aged man bathed in golden light strode in. Broad-shouldered and barrel-chested, his eyes were sharp and fierce…clearly a master of terrifying strength. Behind him followed a battle general, the one who had clearly gone to fetch reinforcements.

When the middle-aged man saw the scene before him, his eyes widened in fury.

“Batian?! How dare you, vile wretch, lay hands on the imperial bloodline! I’ll refine your three souls and seal your seven spirits—”

“Sixth Elder!” Long Yuyun’s face changed drastically as he cried out in alarm.

“Sixth Uncle, save… save me…” Long Batian’s eyes lit up when he saw the newcomer. He glared viciously at Tian Fan, his voice weak but venomous. “Kill him… kill that useless little bastard!”

“Ah!”

A pig-like scream tore from Long Batian’s throat. Tian Fan had merely shifted his leg slightly, but even that was more than someone at the Cloud Heaven Peak Realm could bear. Blood gushed from Long Batian’s mouth, staining his neck red.

“Batian! You dare attack a member of the imperial family!? I’ll refine your three souls and seal your seven spirits!”

The middle-aged man’s fury exploded. Never had anyone been so bold…to strike at the Soaring Dragon Dynasty’s imperial heir, and right in front of one of its core elders! It was beyond outrageous.

“Heh, aren’t you going to ask why I struck him?” Tian Fan sneered, utterly calm, not the least bit afraid.

“No need to ask. Anyone who dares attack the imperial family deserves only death!” the man said coldly, eyes glinting like blades as he advanced.

“Imperial family? So what? I struck him. What are you going to do about it?” Tian Fan said with a derisive snort.

“I’ll cut you down!”

The man roared, murderous intent exploding. He thrust out his right hand, unleashing a sky-splitting sword aura, while his left hand carved out five golden claw marks that shot toward Long Batian, trying to pull him to safety.

“Dragon-Slaying Sword! Dragon Claw Strike!”

Long Yuyun’s face drained of color. Those were two powerful secret techniques from the Soaring Dragon Dynasty’s “Hualong Path.” The Dragon-Slaying Sword could destroy anything; its offensive power was overwhelming. The Dragon Claw Strike combined both attack and defense…a profound and deadly art. Terrified, he shouted for the elder to stop.

Behind them, Xiang Yufei and the others watched calmly. The elder was strong…a cultivator of the Primordial Unity Realm…but they all knew he wasn’t a match for Tian Fan.

Puff—

Tian Fan gave a cold smile and flicked his finger. A golden flash shot forth, shattering the sword aura and crushing the golden claws. A bloody hole appeared in the middle-aged man’s chest. He fell to the ground, struggling weakly, unable to rise again.

Though the strike had looked simple, it contained Tian Fan’s profound comprehension of the Dao…a display of terrifying mastery.

“This…?” Long Yuyun stared blankly, utterly stunned.

The soldiers who had followed Long Batian were slack-jawed. A Primordial Unity Realm master…injured by a single finger? Unable to even stand? What kind of fairy tale was this?

“Useless… you dare fight back!?” Long Batian roared, but he was met only by two cold, merciless eyes. The next moment, another agonized scream tore from his throat as terror finally replaced his arrogance.

Seeing Long Batian’s miserable state, Long Yuyun’s heart softened. “Seventh Brother, please… spare them. After all… we’re still brothers.”

Tian Fan froze for a moment, then looked at his pure-hearted younger brother. What could he say? With a faint sigh, he pulled back his leg. The dozen imperial guards immediately rushed forward, helping the two princes and the elder up. Their faces were pale with fear.

The middle-aged elder was severely wounded, blood flowing freely. His face had turned a deep, purplish hue. Supported by two guards, Long Batian’s eyes burned with endless hatred as he glared at Tian Fan. Long Yutian, meanwhile, had already fainted. The three were escorted away in humiliation.

“They carry killing intent,” Xiang Yufei said coldly, eyes fixed on their retreating figures.

“If they didn’t, that would be strange,” Tian Fan replied calmly. “Forget it. Let’s go to my old quarters for a while.”

He invited the group inside. Long Yuyun was the happiest of all…his beloved brother had returned from the dead; how could he not be moved?

“This… this is where you used to live?”

When the others saw the humble little house, they could hardly believe it. The Soaring Dragon Dynasty was one of the seven great sacred martial lands of the Divine Martial Continent, yet a imperial prince had lived in such poverty? If word got out, no one would believe it.

Had they not seen it with their own eyes, they wouldn’t have believed such cruelty could exist…and that it had happened to someone so close to them.

“Yes,” Tian Fan said with a bitter smile. “This was my ‘home’ for twenty years. A bit shabby…don’t mind it.”

He’d been away for over a year, and now that he was back, even he felt embarrassed by how simple the place looked.

No one spoke further; some things, they knew, had to be worked through alone.

“Brother, have you… left the Dynasty?” Long Yuyun asked anxiously when he learned that Tian Fan had severed ties with the imperial family.

“It’s fine, little brother. No matter where I am, we’ll always be brothers. That will never change.” Tian Fan smiled softly, not wanting Yuyun to worry.

“But…”

Long Yuyun hesitated, but Tian Fan interrupted him gently. “You know I was never important in the Soaring Dragon Dynasty. There’s no reason for me to stay. But don’t worry…I’ll visit often. And you can come find me too. At the Great Sealing Sect, the Shangguan Clan, or the Fist Emperor Sect…I have friends there who will welcome you warmly.”

Long Yuyun looked downcast, but soon perked up again, playing happily with Little Dragon and Little Phoenix.

They talked for a long time. Finally, Tian Fan’s eyes gleamed faintly. He stood, looking toward the distant horizon. “It’s time for me to go…”

He asked Xiang Yufei and the others if they wanted to return, but they all shook their heads. Their elders were still in the Eastern Region, and they sincerely wished him well…even Xiang Yufei, usually terse, said a few heartfelt words.

“Seventh Brother! Remember what you promised…come back often!” Long Yuyun shouted after him.

Tian Fan turned back and smiled, nodding. Little Phoenix perched on his shoulder, waving her colorful wings at them.

“I really want to meet that woman, Zi Ying. She must be so lucky…” Murong Qiu murmured softly, her eyes shimmering as she watched Tian Fan’s departing figure.

This time, Tian Fan didn’t hide his presence. He was heading to the Shangguan Clan…back to the girl waiting for him.

Rooooar!

A thunderous dragon cry shook heaven and earth. The entire Soaring Dragon Dynasty trembled as every member of the imperial family witnessed an unforgettable sight.

A thirty-zhang-long Violet-Gold Divine Dragon soared into the sky, bathing the world in violet-gold light. Its sacred, awe-inspiring presence filled heaven and earth. The ancient legend had come to life…and the world was in uproar.

Rooooar!

The Violet-Gold Dragon carried Tian Fan across thousands of miles toward the central lands of the Divine Martial Continent. Along the way, countless people knelt in reverence, and every beast trembled in submission. Wherever it passed, all spirit beasts prostrated themselves, shivering as they kowtowed toward the heavens.

The Divine Dragon’s emergence…shook the world!

“Central Region… Zi Ying, I’m coming back…”

High above the heavens, Tian Fan stood on Little Dragon’s head. The wind howled; his white robes fluttered; his dark hair whipped about wildly…but nothing could hide the tenderness glowing in his eyes.
