Invincibility Begins with a Super Fairy Manny

Chapter 2732 - 2733: The True and False Master and Disciple

Chapter 2732: Chapter 2733: The True and False Master and Disciple

Numerous spirit veins layered together, like a giant heart, connecting to the Ling’an City above.

In such circumstances, finding the few spirit veins connected to the City Lord’s Mansion’s barrier is incredibly difficult.

But Xue An hesitated not at all; his Divine Sense avatar trembled slightly, transforming into a hazy mist, and dispersed into these spirit veins to start exploring.

It’s easy to say, but extremely difficult in practice.

If not for Xue An obtaining Xing Tian’s inheritance, allowing him to control his Divine Sense with unprecedented mastery, he would never be able to accomplish this.

Moments later, above countless spirit veins, the mist reformed into Xue An’s shape as he softly gasped.

For through exploration, he didn’t locate the spirit veins leading to the City Lord’s Mansion barrier; instead, he discovered an unusual presence wrapped within the core of these spirit veins.

"Interesting!"

Xue An promptly headed toward the core area of the spirit veins.

The further he went, the denser the spirit veins became, eventually gnarled and tangled to the point of being impenetrable.

But this could not deter Xue An; he occasionally transformed into mist to bypass the spirit veins blocking his path, continuing forward.

At last!

He arrived at the core of the spirit veins.

Here, layers of light screens enveloped the area, making entry impossible, and even Divine Sense couldn’t penetrate at all.

Xue An extended his hand, gently placing it on the light screen.

The screen rippled slightly, and the faint throbbing from within prompted Xue An to raise his eyebrows.

"Open!"

He shouted fiercely, unleashing tremendous force from his palm.

The light screen flickered intensely but remained entirely immovable.

Xue An released his hand, circled around the light screen, observing carefully and focusing his gaze.

He discovered the screen was formed by several spirit veins, explaining its solid steadiness.

This aroused Xue An’s curiosity even more.

As it resembled a cage.

But deep down beneath Ling’an City, thousands of feet underground, who constructed such a spirit vein cage, and whom does it imprison?

Such thoughts flashed through Xue An’s mind, then he extended his hand once more.

This time, he didn’t directly strike with force as before but gently traced patterns with his fingers on the light screen.

Every stroke left a faint mark on the screen.

Soon, a detailed and complex talisman spell emerged on the light screen.

Upon finishing the last stroke, Xue An pressed his palm at the center of the talisman and exhaled mightily.

"Break!"

With his command, brilliance erupted.

The talisman spell, like a blazing sun, melted a large hole into the screen.

But the screen, formed by Spiritual Root, would not yield easily.

Countless lights converged on the hole to try and seal it.

Too late, Xue An had prepared; as soon as the hole appeared, he sent a portion of his Divine Sense through it.

Thus, even if the hole closed completely, it wouldn’t affect Xue An, while allowing him to remain safe and avoid risks upon entering within.

In an instant, the screen resealed the hole, yet simultaneously, Xue An’s Divine Sense passed through into the interior.

What first greeted him was darkness.

A darkness so extreme that not a single ray of light existed.

Then came silence!

Like the entire universe had succumbed to absolute deathly quiet.

Xue An’s Divine Sense stood amid the darkness, unable to see, yet unfazed.

For he could sense the strange presence was concealed in this darkness.

Indeed.

Soon after, a faint sigh sounded from within the darkness.

"Imprisoned here unattended for so many years; I began to think he had forgotten me! Thank heavens, I’ve finally awaited this day. Tell me, what does that guy want you to do? Ready to act against me?"

With these words, twin lights ignited within the darkness, flickering slightly.

Xue An didn’t understand what the voice meant, but he calmly replied, "Who is this ’he’ you mentioned? And who are you?"

"Huh? You’re not sent by him?" The voice sounded astonished.

"Certainly not. I merely stumbled upon here and decided to take a look." Xue An replied casually.

Silence followed in the darkness, long enough for Xue An to think the voice would speak no more, when suddenly laughter echoed in the darkness.

"Hahahaha, Heaven blesses me; I, Xu Ling’an, have suffered torment here for many years, and finally, an opportunity to leave!"

Xue An was greatly shocked hearing a name that should not exist here.

Xu Ling’an?

The voice claimed to be Xu Ling’an?

What is going on?

As he pondered, a flame illuminated the darkness, revealing a person.

A white-haired, wrinkled, emaciated old man.

Kneeling in the darkness, with bright eyes fixed on Xue An.

This elder, though notably thin, had fiercely bright eyes.

Xue An finally realized the flickering twin lights were emanated by this old man’s eyes.

"Young one, you have many questions?" The old man smiled and asked.

Xue An nodded, "Indeed!"

"Hehe, rest assured, I will tell you everything you wish to know, but first, you must tell me how you got here!"

At this point, a bright gleam heightened in the elder’s eyes.

Xue An gave him a deep look, then recounted the situation briefly.

Upon hearing he entered the underground veins to aid others in finding a missing girl, the elder’s face displayed a complex expression.

A mix of compassion, helplessness, but mostly fury.

"Unexpected! Truly unexpected! Despite so many years, that treacherous disciple still acts so recklessly!" The elder growled through gritted teeth.

Xue An quietly watched the peculiar elder vent his frustration until he finally calmed down before asking in a deep voice.

"Did you say you’re Xu Ling’an?"

"Indeed! I, the true Domain Master of Ling’an Domain, am Xu Ling’an!"

"But the issue is, another Xu Ling’an is currently in the City Lord’s Mansion at Ling’an City, so what’s truly happening?" Xue An asked, puzzled by his biggest doubt.

The elder smiled bitterly, "It’s simple; I am the true Xu Ling’an, while that one in the City Lord’s Mansion is an impostor!"

"An impostor?" Xue An was slightly shocked.

"Yes! More precisely, he is my disciple, disguised as me!"
