Journey of the Fate Destroying Emperor

Chapter 1946: Emperor Path Revival (II)

Chapter 1946: Emperor Path Revival (II)

The Emperor List manifested in Wu Hong's hand, and with a flicker of her wrist, the Qi Luck Dragon materialized. Unlike before, the divine creature now had 108 legs; well, 107, as the last one hadn't completely condensed. Wu Hong controlled the dragon to release three small golden balls that fused with the three on the verge of the breakthrough.

Bang!

A terrifying aura spread from the three of them. Wu Hong could have suppressed it, but she allowed it to spread. The Qi Luck dragon roared as a form of declaration, and in the process, the last leg finally condensed. Han Guo and the others completed the breakthrough and controlled their aura.

Han Guo acted swiftly as she stood and bowed nine degrees: "Thank you, Saintess, for spreading the Dao."

"Thank you, Saintess, for spreading the Dao," said the Holy Lord and Battle Peak Master.

Wu Hong nodded, releasing a gentle power that lifted their heads. "Remember, the path of cultivation has no end. The Tier 2 Microsystem is not even perfected yet, let alone Tier 3 and Sanctification."

"We will remember your wise words."

Wu Hong turned her focus to the reminding group. "That's it for the sermon."

As soon as she said those words, the atmosphere changed as a feeling of loss suddenly suffocated everybody. But, to be fair, the sermon was only supposed to be a few million years, but it lasted more than 3 yuan epochs. So, no one could complain.

"Before I leave, I must announce a few things," Wu Hong continued. "The Emperor Path is not just about cultivation; it's a state of mind, a philosophy, a way of thinking, a way of living — it's a Dao, no, the highest of Dao. Many of you might have the cultivation, but you are not Emperors, and that's unacceptable."

Many people looked at each other, wondering what she meant. The clever ones immediately sensed something major was about to happen, and such a change might not be good news for many.

"The Holy Land has built countless Battle Arenas across our territory, divided by cultivation up to the Primal Stage. Each of those arenas will select the top 100 best fighters who will be rewarded handsomely; the top 20 will receive direct Luck Blessings; the top 3 can enter the Holy Land's treasury to pick five items, and the top spot can receive direct teaching from me. I may even select one or two of you as my disciple."

The surrounding space once again became chaotic. Although it was rude, these people couldn't stop themselves from losing control. The relationship with the Holy Land has always been one-sided: sects, factions, and powerful cultivators put their names on the Emperor List, and in return, the Holy Land provided them with a quota for Heaven Will. As for rare resources? Only a few factions had access to exchange with the Holy Land.

But now, things were about to change. With this new measure, everyone had an opportunity to acquire resources from the Holy Land. And that's not to mention the direct luck blessing, which was something previously only usable by the Holy Land and the Xu Clan. As for the top 3 rewards? Well, that was the most enticing reward, but most people were practical and knew they had little to no chance, so they didn't focus too much on it. As for the talented ones? They knew it was a chance to change their lives.

"The second announcement is the allocation of Heaven Will," Wu Hong continued. "From now on, the Holy Lang will only allocate 129,600 Heaven Will every generation."

"What? So little?"

"Empress, is this really wise? Our path is already so weak. Is it really a good thing to dwindle our numbers?"

"If we want to revitalize, we need elites, not numbers," Wu Hong calmly stated. "Those 129,600 Heaven Wills will be determined by a fierce competition in which the last man is the victor. This rule applies to everyone, including the disciples of the Holy Land."

"What? Why should we suffer the same fate as everyone else?"

"That's right. We went through all the struggle of joining the Holy Land to distinguish ourselves from everybody else."

The Peak Battle Master snorted, releasing an aura that suppressed those disciples. "The Holy Land provides you with the best resources and training available. If you can't defeat all your opponents and show you're the best, then that only means you don't deserve to be a member of the Holy Land."

Wu Hong glanced at him before giving an approving nod — an act which made the burly Battle Master giggle. "A True Emperor is someone who has forged their Dao Heart through battle, countless trials and tribulations, and who has suppressed an entire generation. A True Emperor does not only have strength and luck, but strategic abilities and leadership skills. A True Emperor is the chosen son of Heaven and Earth — not because they were selected, but because they proved their worthiness to the world."

Many people could not help repeating these words: from the attendees to the people watching from afar. As simple as those words were, they truly reflected what a Great Emperor truly was — or it should have been long ago, before they had lost their way. As those people remembered those words, most of them did not realize that a seed had been implanted in their hearts; a seed that would become the foundation for the Emperor Path's revival.

"Lastly, the Holy Land will hand out for free a method to use the power of Hope to condense Dao Tables that can protect knowledge and information from the Forbidden Curse. You can also store a bit of your soul in these tablets, and it will provide temporary protection from the curse, which is enough time for you to rush to the holy land where you will be safe."

One of the leading causes of why most factions cannot last long in this world was the inability to preserve techniques and powerful legacies. It's also why most professions are underdeveloped since they are usually the main target. And that's not mentioning the number of people who die trying to protect these inheritances.

An elderly man suddenly sat up from his cushion and knelt on the ground, face touching the ground: "Thank you, Divine Seal Empress, for spreading the Dao and revitalizing the Emperor Path."

Humans are animals, and oftentimes display herd-like behavior. So, once that old man knelt, hundreds more followed his footsteps to pay homage. Of course, many people were still too prideful to kneel directly, so they bowed a full nine degrees, showing their sincerest respect.

"I'll accept this bow," Wu Hong nodded calmly. "The Emperor Path's revival is inevitable, so this is just the beginning. Until then, I hope Dao is always accompanying you." A purple cloud appeared under Wu Hong's feet as she fled away.

"May the Dao always accompany you, Saintess," Han Guo and the other elders said in harmony.

"The situation is worse than we imagined," Su Chengfeng said. As the Saint Son of the True Qi Path Holy Land, he understood the significance of this sermon. The new Saintess didn't just improve and perfect the Emperor Path; she started a cultural revolution. Her plan will fundamentally change every aspect of the Emperor Path from the deepest level.

"If we don't do anything, the next generation of Emperors will truly be terrifying," Cui Yun — the Five Harmony Saintess — nodded. Short-sighted individuals might think the reduced number of Emperors will be to their advantage, but they knew that the Saintess wanted to cultivate elites among elites.

"What do you think? Should we continue our alliance with the Xu Clan?"

"I don't know," Cui Yun replied. "The revival of the Emperor Path is in their best interest."

"But they want to be the one in control."

"I know, which is why I'm hesitant."

"I say we do it. Anyway, they are much easier to control than the Holy Land," Su Chengfeng said.

"If you think that's the best approach."

The Saint Son looked at Cui Yun with hidden disdain. He despised the Five Element Harmony Holy Land. Their factions had been allied for countless years, but those damn Taoists always acted innocent. Even though they favored many of the plans, they always acted like it was not a decision they were forced into, that they were helpless, or that they had nothing to do with it. Meanwhile, the True Qi Path Holy Land does all the dirty work while they keep a cleaner reputation.

"I'll leave the communication to you."

"That's not a good idea," Cui Yun said.

"Like all men, Xu Yuhan loves beautiful women. So, you should be the one who approaches him."

"I —"

"It's decided," Su Chengfeng said. "Now, let's go meet that Saintess. Maybe we can get some more information from her." He walked toward the elders and asked for a meeting. Cui Yun frowned for a few seconds, glanced at Xu Yuhan, before following.
