Lackey's Seducing Survival Odyssey

Chapter 1875: Are you not… trying to save your friend Aether?

Chapter 1875: Are you not… trying to save your friend Aether?

“And here I thought you had changed and were finally learning to cooperate,” Jonathan said in a cold, almost disappointed tone.

He tightened his grip around the metal rod as he looked down at Allen, who was coughing blood onto the floor.

“Waa!!”

Noah hurriedly ran towards his father, his small feet stumbling against the floor as he desperately tried to reach him. Before he could get any closer, a pair of hands suddenly seized the back of his collar and lifted him effortlessly into the air, leaving his little legs kicking helplessly beneath him.

“Look at this thing… running towards his father,” Sasha said with a wicked grin.

“Waaa!!” Noah cried as he jerked his little hands toward Allen, desperately reaching for him. Sasha only giggled at his frightened cries.

“L-Let go of my son!” Allen shouted as he forced himself forward to save Noah, but Sasha threw him into the air like a ball.

“Noah!” Allen shouted as he watched his son fall into Maiuri’s waiting arms.

She caught Noah effortlessly, a wicked grin spreading across her face as she pulled him against her and kissed his cheek.

“Oh… dear, Mommy caught you~”

Noah cried and desperately tried to wriggle free from her tight embrace, but Maiuri held him so firmly that he could barely move.

Maiuri’s cheeks turned red as she panted slightly, her eyes fixed on Noah with disturbing fascination.

“Ha… Ha… It’s been a while since I tasted him.”

She slowly licked her lips, her expression becoming more excited as though she were remembering something she had been deprived of for far too long.

“Get away from my son, you fucking bitch!” Emily shouted as she emerged from her room, gripping the gun tightly in her hand.

Maiuri merely smirked. She leaned closer and deliberately licked Noah’s cheek before looking toward Emily.

“I wonder if you can pull the trigger?”

Emily’s finger rested against the trigger, trembling violently as she bit her lip in fury.

“Get the fuck away from my son, you fucking pedophile bitch!”

Jonathan looked at Emily for a moment before letting out a quiet snort.

“Oh, please. Do you really think that will work on us?” His eyes shifted toward the hidden cameras scattered throughout the room.

“The President is watching us live.” He pointed toward one of the cameras.

“Even if you pull that trigger, you will die before you accomplish anything.”

Jonathan smirked and stepped closer. “Now… kneel. If you are willing to die, then go ahead. But if you choose to leave your child alone, you already know what will happen to him, don’t you?”

Maiuri smirked as she pinched Noah’s lower half. Noah immediately cried out in pain, his small body recoiling against her.

Maiuri watched his reaction with a wicked expression before speaking softly.

“I haven’t had a pet for a while… I wonder how he will turn out if I train him.”

Veins stood out on Emily’s forehead as she struggled to control herself. Every part of her body wanted to pull the trigger, but she knew one wrong movement could cost Noah his life.

She swallowed hard, forcing down the rage and fear threatening to overwhelm her.

“Lower the gun, bitch!” Sasha said.

Allen looked at her with a silent, pleading expression. There was nothing he could say without making the situation worse.

Emily took a slow breath, fighting back tears of anger and fear, before lowering the gun completely and kneeling.

Jonathan motioned for Allen to kneel beside her. Allen obeyed without question.

Maiuri continued holding the crying Noah as if she had no intention of letting him go, no matter how desperately he struggled.

Jonathan stood before them and looked directly at Allen.

“Now… tell me how you managed to disconnect the camera. And more importantly… why did you do it?”

Allen and Emily remained quiet.

“Don’t test my patience,” Jonathan said.

“Tell me why you did it. And… where is Aether?” He slowly lowered the metal rod toward Allen’s forehead, letting its tip tap against his skin.

“Think carefully before you answer. I have very little patience left.”

Emily’s body trembled as she finally spoke, “I-It was the Vampire Queen’s daughter. She came here and took Aether… while destroying everything.” Her voice shook as she pointed toward the shattered glass and the wreckage scattered throughout the room.

“We had nothing to do with it.”

Jonathan was taken aback. “The Vampire Queen’s daughter…? It’s impossible. She should not even be capable of crossing into our world—”

Just then, his ring began to glow furiously.

“President!”

Jonathan immediately took the metal cube from his pocket, pressed his ring against it, and carefully placed it on the table.

Sssnnn~

A translucent black hologram materialised above the cube. A thin line appeared across its surface before fluctuating violently, and then a cold, authoritative voice echoed through the room,

“Aurelia Scarlet, I presume?”

Emily nodded, keeping her eyes lowered. “Yes, President… She came here and took Aether away.”

“…”

The voice fell silent.

Then

“Impossible…” The voice finally spoke, his voice quieter now. “The portals were created by the Goddess herself. Only we should be able to enter and leave through them.”

Emily shook her head firmly. “I am not lying.”

“I know you would never lie,” the voice replied without hesitation.

The hologram flickered faintly.

“How is this possible? Give me a moment…”

The voice disappeared for a few minutes.

No one moved even an inch.

Allen glanced at his wife.

Emily looked back at him and subtly flipped open a small device hidden beneath her knees.

Allen’s eyes widened.

He immediately shook his head, silently telling her not to do it.

Emily clenched her fist clenched as tears gathered in the corners of her eyes.

Allen’s expression turned desperate. His eyes pleaded with her.

Emily swallowed hard as she fought against the emotions threatening to overwhelm her.

Sasha suddenly broke the silence.

“So, the destruction last night… was it caused by her too?”

Jonathan nodded, “I think so… And here I thought our golden goose had caused it all.” A faint smile touched his lips.

“Ahah… It seems we were looking in the wrong direction.”

The hologram suddenly fluctuated again.

“Epsilon did not bring anyone else other than Lackey,” the President said in a thoughtful tone.

Jonathan’s amusement disappeared.

“Then… how did she enter our world?”

The voice remained silent for a moment.

His voice became colder.

“I will have Alpha and Gamma investigate this matter immediately.”

A brief pause followed.

“Now… Allen.”

Allen flinched as though his name itself had become a threat.

He looked toward the hologram. “Yes, President.”

“I understand that she suddenly appeared and took Aether away. That much is clear.” The President’s voice remained calm. “But there is something I do not understand.”

Allen said nothing.

“Why did you rush Lily to bring him here?”

Allen’s breathing became shallow.

“And why was the signal lost precisely when he entered this house?”

Allen’s fingers slowly curled against the floor.

“As much as I know your loyalty toward me, Allen…” The President paused deliberately.

“I also know that loyalty has a weakness called… friendship.”

Allen’s face began to lose its colour.

“And whenever your friend comes into the picture… Your loyalty seems to disappear. So tell me….”

The President continued,

“Are you not… trying to save your friend Aether?”

Allen’s lips parted. “Yes, I did—”

THUD!!

“Allen!!” Emily shouted.

“WAAA!!” Noah cried.

Jonathan struck Allen with the metal rod. The impact forced Allen forward, and fresh blood spilled from his mouth onto the floor.

“This motherfucker! I knew he would do it—!”

“Jonathan.”

The President’s voice cut through the room.

Jonathan froze.

His grip around the metal rod tightened before he slowly lowered it. He stepped back and bowed his head slightly.

“I am sorry, President.”

Allen slowly returned to a kneeling position, one hand pressing against the floor as blood poured from the corner of his mouth. His breathing was ragged, but he forced himself upright.

The President remained silent for a moment.

“Now tell me…”

The hologram flickered softly.

“What exactly did you plan to do?”

Allen did not hesitate this time.

“I brought him here so I could send him to Gamma City by tricking him into believing that Penelope was still there,” Allen said, his voice strained but steady. “I planned to have him take our children with him to the location.”

He swallowed the blood gathering in his mouth.

“Since the location I gave my daughter changes every second, I would not know its exact position. That was the point. Even if we were caught, you would never be able to find the true location.”

Jonathan’s face twisted with fury.

“Son of a bitch… How dare you?”

His fingers tightened around the metal rod until his knuckles turned white, but he did not move.

Allen continued.

“Once Lily dropped him off, I ordered her to leave that place immediately with her brother. I told her never to stop the vehicle, no matter what happened.

My wife had prepared a few Slum Soldiers to pick them up. But even she did not know the exact destination. We only gave them our children’s details and the car’s live location. They would decide where to intercept them.

After that, they would take the children to the Slums. Once they reached there, you would not be able to find them.”

The room fell silent again.

Allen slowly raised his eyes toward the hologram.

“That was the plan.”

“Hmm…” The voice sounded slightly surprised, as though Emily had managed to accomplish something he had not expected.

“I see… Not bad. I applaud you, Emily… for making it this far.”

A faint clapping sound echoed from the hologram.

Clap.

Clap.

Clap.

Then the clapping stopped.

“But… you failed.”

Emily’s entire body trembled.

The President continued in the same cold voice, “Maiuri… You can take good care of him.”

Maiuri’s eyes widened.

A slow, delighted smile spread across her face as she looked down at Noah. She licked her lips and pulled the frightened child closer against her body.

“Don’t worry, President… I’ll train him very well.” She softly patted Noah’s back, almost playfully, before whispering in a wicked tone,

“It’s time for pussy-licking training~”

Emily’s face went pale.

“No…”

Her voice barely escaped her throat.

“N-No! Please, don’t do it! President… Please, don’t! I… I beg you…” Her breathing became faster as panic overwhelmed her.

“Please, sir. Take anything else. Punish me. Kill me if you want, but please… don’t do that to my son.”

The voice just said coldly, “You brought this upon yourself.”

Emily froze.

Those words seemed to drain the last remaining strength from her body.

Her eyes slowly lowered.

For several seconds, she remained completely still.

Then she looked toward Noah.

Her son was crying in Maiuri’s arms, his little face wet with tears.

Emily stared at him.

Her lips began to tremble.

She knew she could not save him by begging.

Something inside her finally broke.

“Ha…”

A strange sound escaped her.

“Haha…”

Allen looked at her.

“Emily…”

She continued staring at Noah.

“Hahahahaha…”

Sasha looked at her with pity. “She’s gone nuts.”

Emily slowly turned her head toward Allen.

Their eyes met.

Allen immediately understood.

His eyes widened, and he desperately shook his head.

“No…”

Emily gave him a gentle smile.

It was the same smile she had given him countless times before, the smile of the woman who had stood beside him through every hardship.

“Dear… I love you.”

Then Emily moved.

Her hand slipped beneath her knees and pulled out the small device she had hidden there.

Allen’s face went white.

“Emily, wait—”

She raised the device.

Maiuri turned toward her.

Jonathan’s eyes widened.

Even the hologram seemed to remain perfectly still.

Emily looked directly at Maiuri.

There was no fear left in her eyes.

Only a mother’s final decision.

“This is for my son, bitch!”

She pressed the button.

Inside Maiuri’s head, a yellow device blinked rapidly that was embedded in the folding flesh and,

BOOM!!!

Splash!

In the next second, Maiuri’s head was blown apart.

Her body remained standing for a single, horrifying moment, blood spraying across the surrounding floor and walls before her muscles finally gave out.

Thud!

Her headless body collapsed lifelessly.

“MAIURI!!”

Jonathan’s scream ripped through the room.

He rushed toward her without thinking and dropped beside her body, desperately grabbing her.

“NO! Maiuri! No!”

His hands trembled violently.

“Don’t leave me!”

He pulled her lifeless body closer, his voice breaking with rage and disbelief.

“No… no, no, no…”

For the first time, Jonathan looked completely lost.

Sasha rushed toward her best friend, tears streaming down her face as she dropped beside Maiuri’s body.

“Maiuri…”

Noah slipped from Maiuri’s arms.

His small body struck the floor.

Thud.

His frightened cries abruptly stopped as he fell unconscious.

“…”

The President said nothing.

The hologram remained motionless.

Around the living room, the cameras slowly rotated.

Their lenses adjusted.

Zooming in.

One after another, they focused on the small device still clutched tightly in Emily’s fingers.

Allen stared at his wife.

His expression was one of pure horror.

Emily was breathing heavily as adrenaline coursed through her body.

Then she looked at Noah.

For the first time in what felt like an eternity, her expression softened.

“Hah…”

A weak laugh escaped her.

“Hahaha…”

Her eyes filled with tears.

“It… worked…”

She looked down at the device in her hand, almost unable to believe that she had actually succeeded.

The President finally spoke.

“How did you do that?”

There was something different in his voice.

Genuine surprise?

“It is impossible to hack NLC.”

Emily lifted her eyes toward the hologram.

Despite everything, she smiled.

A tired, proud smile.

“Never underestimate what a mother will do when her child is in danger.”

She took a shaky breath.

“… Is that so?”

His voice became chillingly cold. “Allen. Eliminate her.”

Allen’s body went rigid, and he stood up.

His hand reached down and picked up the gun Emily had brought to save him.

Emily watched him.

The barrel pointed directly at the woman he loved.

She smiled.

“I hope… we meet again in a different world…”

Emily looked at him one last time.

“…and fall in love aga—”

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!

The gunshots echoed through the room.

Emily’s body jerked violently with every impact as the bullets pierced through her.

Blood sprayed from her wounds. Yet instead of feeling pain, she felt both happiness and sadness.

She was happy that she had gotten her revenge and, more importantly, had protected her son.

But she was also heartbroken that she could not protect all of her children.

Still, this was the only option she had left.

To protect her son one last time.

Thud!

Her bullet-riddled body fell to the ground as blood slowly pooled beneath her.

Allen stood there motionless, staring blankly at his wife’s lifeless body. Then, slowly, his gaze fell toward the gun still in his hand.

Drip…

A single tear rolled down from his eye.
