Chapter 1339: The Demon God Chiyou
Chapter 1339: The Demon God Chiyou
“As expected, God’s Prophecy was correct.”
“The kid has managed to enter the third floor.”
Outside Pangu’s Cave, Hei Yue was hidden in an inconspicuous, dark spot.
His spiritual senses had been tracking the aura he left on Luo Tian. Even though he couldn’t see, he could roughly guess what was happening through their conversation.
The number one sorcerer of the Ancient World had used her own body as a medium to blast open the entrance.
Even Hei Yue himself probably couldn’t have achieved that.
Hei Yue’s expression was one of shock as he muttered, “The Ancient King will be found soon. The secret, sealed for tens of thousands of years, is about to be revealed. Hahaha… the Seven-Colored Divine Stone belongs to me! It must be mine!”
He looked like a madman muttering to himself.
Back to the third-floor entrance.
Luo Tian glanced at his group and then stepped into the entrance, shouting, “Everyone, stay close!”
Kailin was the second to follow him in.
The Saintess, holding Little White, was the third to enter. She was followed by Liu Zhan, and then finally the Paladin Legion.
It was pitch black!
It was so dark you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face!
Moreover, the darkness within could not be pierced even with their cultivation levels.
It was an endless darkness, like being inside an abyss.
Moreover, the passage was much longer than expected. Luo Tian held onto the wall and told the people behind him, “Stay close to one another, don’t fall behind!”
“Does anyone have any light sources?” Luo Tian called out toward the back of the group.
Many members of the Paladin Legion took out Light Gems, but these gems were completely useless in the passage. Even though they were intended for illumination, they emitted no light at all. It was as if any light was being swallowed by the surrounding darkness.
What lay ahead?
It was impossible to see!
How much further was it?
No one knew since it was still impossible to see.
This sensation made Luo Tian very uncomfortable. With a thought, he spread his spiritual senses outward.
“Ommm~, ommm~…”
His spiritual sense was instantly swallowed, and he could not detect any aura.
It felt as though they had entered a dark dimension. An uneasy feeling grew within Luo Tian, and he said to himself, “When the Ancient King brought my consciousness here last time, there wasn’t this dark passage.”
“Fuuu~…”
Luo Tian exhaled before sending out a voice transmission deep inside: “Master, I’ve come to save you!”
“Master, I have come to save you!”
“Master…”
Luo Tian called out several times, but there was no response.
Kailin questioned, “Could we have taken the wrong path?”
The Saintess added, “This seems to be a separate dimension. Our spiritual senses are completely useless, and no light source works. I’m afraid something will go wrong if this continues.”
Indeed, darkness always breeds fear, and the darkness here was particularly unusual.
“Fuuu~…”
Luo Tian took another deep breath before saying, “Everyone, stop moving forward.”
“Report attendance!”
He wanted to check if anyone was missing.
Fortunately, everyone was accounted for.
Luo Tian felt a slight sense of relief. He then stepped forward and said, “I will use the soaring power within the Vermilion Bird bloodline to see if I can light up the path ahead. Keep a close watch.”
Kailin was feeling shocked again.
She had just heard the old woman say Luo Tian possessed the Black Tortoise bloodline, so she hadn’t expected him to have another bloodline power as well.
The Saintess said, “If you knew he had four bloodlines, and all of them are divine grade, you would be even more stunned. He is the one with a divine grade talent and the bloodlines of the Four Divine Beasts.
“Huh?”
“A divine grade talent? The one who will reach the peak and touch the Realm of Gods?” Kailin’s eyes widened in shock as she stared at Luo Tian, her heart racing.
Luo Tian’s brow furrowed as he let out a low shout, “Vermilion Bird power, come out!”
“Ommm~!”
The Vermilion Bird inside Luo Tian’s sea of consciousness suddenly started moving.
“Soar!”
“Boom~!”
A fiery-red Vermilion Bird flew directly out of Luo Tian’s body, soaring into the air and illuminating the surroundings.
The flames on the Vermilion Bird were completely different from ordinary light sources.
She possessed the power to crush all forces of evil.
At that exact moment…
“Bones!”
“They are all white bones!”
“My god, a mountain of bones!”
Everyone’s faces turned pale.
Before them stood a mountain of white bones, consisting entirely of skulls. At the very peak stood a man wearing pitch-black armor. Two horns grew from his forehead, his hair was blood-red, his eyebrows were like swords, and his armor emitted a black aura.
His pair of hands were resting upon a massive blade.
A black blade!
The blade also released a black flame and an aura of endless, overbearing dominance.
It was terrifyingly intimidating.
The surrounding darkness all originated from him.
That evil and incredibly overbearing power caused everyone’s souls to tremble.
With just one look, Luo Tian felt as if his heart had been crushed to the point of stopping beating, “Such a powerful aura.”
The Saintess’s expression suddenly turned cold as she whispered, “The War God of the Guardian Race, Chiyou!”
“What?!”
Luo Tian’s eyes widened in shock, “The Demon God Chiyou?!”
The Saintess nodded and said, “He can also be called the Demon God. He is the strongest person of the Guardian Race. Years ago, he was the one who sealed the Ancient King here. I heard he was someone who could reach the Realm of Gods, having survived the baptism of the heavenly tribulation and condensed his divinity. However, no one knows why he didn’t enter the Realm of Gods. I never expected him to still be guarding this place.”
Phoenix Sky Mountain had all the records and literature of the Ancient World.
The Saintess deduced his identity based on the man’s attire and the endless demonic flames radiating from him.
“Condensed a divinity?”
“Doesn’t that mean he has surpassed the Great Perfection of the Honorable Emperor realm?”
Luo Tian’s heart felt like it had become dead ashes. However, as he took another careful look at the Demon God Chiyou, a sense of familiarity welled up within him. He also felt a strange, inexplicable connection to the aura the man released.
If this were the case, no matter how strong Luo Tian was, he could not possibly be Demon God Chiyou’s opponent.
Kailin whispered, “What should we do?”
The flames of the Vermilion Bird in mid-air grew weaker. She was struggling to withstand the dark demonic flames constantly lunging at her. Half a minute later, the surroundings returned to the previous state of endless darkness.
Advance?
Or retreat?
Advancing meant facing the Demon God Chiyou.
As for retreating…
Luo Tian clenched his teeth before saying to Kailin, “Take the others and leave first. Saintess, you go with them too.”
“What about you?” Both girls asked at the same time.
Luo Tian smiled faintly and replied in a carefree manner, “You forgot what Hei Yue said. I am the man from God’s Prophecy. I will definitely find the Ancient King and obtain the Seven-Colored Divine Stone. Put your trust in me.”
“But you’re alone,” Kailin said worriedly.
Luo Tian chuckled, “You guys being here will only hold me back. Just wait outside for my good news.”
Kailin said solemnly, “Be careful.”
They believed in that prophecy.
Even though the Saintess did not entirely believe it, she had no other choice now.
Ten minutes later, they retreated back along the original path.
Luo Tian looked into the void of darkness and shouted, “Ancient King, please come out!”
