Chapter 2277 - 2286: The Fish Has Taken the Bait
Chapter 2277: Chapter 2286: The Fish Has Taken the Bait
He had had enough of this woman, not wanting to see her pretending with a face that bore a fifty percent resemblance to Enna Clark for even one more second.
"President Lawrence..." Miranda Lewis was severely humiliated, her face turned pale, and her eyes filled with tears, "I don’t understand..."
She didn’t understand why, even though he brought her to the hotel room and she confessed her feelings, he still refused her.
What did she do wrong?
Miranda was about to go crazy from this moody man.
Baron Lawrence didn’t even spare her a glance, coldly saying, "I’ll give you three seconds, if you’re not gone in three seconds, I’ll make sure you can’t survive in Country W!"
"..." Miranda knew this man meant what he said, she was blacklisted just like that in the past, her promising acting career ruined overnight!
"Three."
She heard Baron Lawrence actually start counting, panicked, and without thinking too much, put away the pretentious expression on her face and immediately said, "I understand, President Lawrence, I’ll return to my room right away."
"Two."
Miranda dared not delay for even a second longer, hurriedly rushed into the nearest room, and before Baron Lawrence counted to one, she shut the door with a click.
The living room of the Presidential Suite suddenly fell silent—
Only the scent of Miranda’s perfume lingered in the air.
Baron Lawrence found it irritating.
He walked to the floor-to-ceiling windows, opened them, and after the fresh air from outside blew in, returned to the living room, picked up the phone, and made a call.
Soon, a hotel attendant brought coffee and air freshener, along with a laptop.
After placing these things down, he dared not disturb the man in the living room and respectfully exited.
After he left, Baron Lawrence picked up the air freshener and sprayed it fiercely around the living room, then sat back on the sofa, opened the laptop, connected to Bluetooth, and took a sip of coffee.
The computer quickly booted up.
His long fingers tapped out a string of codes on the keyboard, and the screen soon connected to an audio feed, the Bluetooth headset crackled with static before it connected.
"What’s the situation?"
"Lord, the fish has taken the bait, they have taken action, an unknown vehicle has been parked outside the hotel since you entered, and it hasn’t left."
It was Scott Harris’s voice!
"Keep waiting, make sure to find out who that car is in contact with, I don’t believe the elevator incident Enna Clark encountered was orchestrated by Oscar alone!"
"Yes."
"Lord, are you going to stay in there?"
He was poking where it hurt.
As expected.
Baron Lawrence’s brow furrowed so tightly it almost pinched a fly, he pressed his lips together and said, "If I’m not here, will they believe the person staying here is Enna Clark?"
"True." Scott Harris realized this point as well, "I will continue to closely monitor the vehicle’s movements, rest assured, Lord."
Having Scott Harris by his side for so long, Baron Lawrence felt confident in Scott’s work.
Baron Lawrence leaned back against the sofa, rubbed his temples and said, "Continue to let our people spread the word to the other side, we must make them believe the person in here is Enna Clark."
"I understand."
Speaking of that woman, Baron Lawrence’s eyebrows relaxed, "By the way, what is she doing, is she awake yet?"
Scott Harris was intently listening to his arrangements, Baron Lawrence suddenly shifted the topic to Enna Clark, catching him off guard.
Fortunately, he reacted quickly.
With a smile on his lips, he replied, "Lord, Joanne Harrison just called from Birch Garden, saying Young Madam is not awake yet. Would you like to call her, Lord? Or should I call again to check?"
