Chapter 2102: Changes Over the Years

Life and death betting is not that thrilling when you are the one making the decision to your own decision knowing that a certain decision would either bring you death or life.

After all, this "game" is betting with their life on the line.

People do not do that if there is no desperation behind it, danger or some kind of threat that would push these people to seek higher path and seek higher power

Most of the time, those who reach that point wanted to live longer. And so, they climb higher and seek greater power. All of it to survive.

But being Sovereign is different. It is not about living longer. If the objective was to live longer, then reaching Essence Creation is already reaching the peak of longevity.

That would be already be considered to reach the objective

In some worlds reaching Disk Formation is to gain the lifespan as long as heaven and earth

In earth this was different because of the World Orb. Because of the fast improvement, lifespan was deducted. But even so, if you reach Essence Creation, living for eons is just guaranteed.

And since you are made of energy as long as you don’t run out of energy and did not meddle in conflict between Sovereigns and Grand Supremacy realm in the Omniverse most of the time you would be fine.

Even then, some crafty Essence Creation realm beings could have some method to survive being hit by one attack of Sovereigns

If longevity is the objective, then being Sovereign is the antithesis of that

Being Sovereign is to break the entire cultivation and power you have and use it to built the body, spirit and soul of a new state of existence.

Toi be a sovereign is to transcend

And to transcend you have to face yourself. Whether it is good or evil....one must face themselves.

And that is for many....a more terrifying thing than facing an enemy

An enemy is someone you already hate.

But if you look yourself in the mirror, while you could use your own belief to deceive yourself, when you step on that stage of being a Sovereign, then you might not be able to lie anymore

This "self" that would appear is like a heart demon.

The heart demon is there because your heart is unsettled. And only those who have a heart could reach the Sovereign realm

With all of this difficulty....to say for certain that you would eb able to break through o Sovereign realm...this is fortune unlike any other

But Azief knows from the very beginning, that if he chooses the safe path, he would become a Sovereign. This is the most coveted state in all of existence

Not many beings even with those who have complete confidence in themselves could say definitively that they would pass the tribulation of being a Sovereign

But Azief was not simply confident but almost certain that he would not fail. Even Azief in that other timeline did not have this kind of confidence.

Azief does not know this but if Loki was here, he would say this is the ultimate difference between this Azief and that other Azief.

The other Azief knows that the only way to free himself was to break through to Sovereign realm

He was driven by desperation and force himself...to confront himself. It created the First Sovereign and open up a road and path for others to follow. It shows that the road of Sovereign is feasible.

And the moment it become possible; it is like lighting up the path for others to follow

Knowing that it is possible.... make everyone have a guidepost

Azief in that other timeline was never the strongest person in the world before he became Sovereign

He took the risk of becoming first. The danger was that, his death probably would not have caused there to be such a glorious era of immortal reign for seven hundred years

But since he succeeded, he also reaps the benefit of being the first. It was one hundred years of barrenness of energy when he took all of the energy of the world and use it to breakthrough

In that one hundred years, the path to ascension was cut off.

But when the next one hundred years arrive, Raymond took the dive and become the Second Sovereign

They already have one hundred years of difference in experience and power

Azief that other timeline risk his life and won the throne. But if he had failed, all of his desires, all of his wishes could not have bene realized.

As for others while they do not become the first, the fact that someone else become the frits means they could learn from it and it is because of this there is this glorious Seven Sovereigns

Of course, Loki case is a bit different but it could not understated that without Azief leading the charge at that time, there would never be such a glorious reign of Seven Sovereigns that no other power in the entire Omniverse dares to launch an intergalactic war on Earth

The few that did never reach Earth.

Seven hundred years of peace from the heavens

Azief did not know of this right now. He did not know the glorious yeas he would create. All he could see is glimpses.

But those who met him, those deities and gods and all of this e powerful divine beings that met him, those who are playing in this chess game...all know what he would be and what he would become

But at that time, Azief did not use Etherna method of Sovereign

All it took was one tribulation. One tribulation, one completion and a Sovereign that shakes the Omniverse is born

But at that time, there was no ripple in the Omniverse, no alarm in the hearts of the gods that lives inside divine palaces and sit up divine thrones

This time, everything is different. Many of the events that should have happened did not happened.

There is no Pass for Azief to breach. In that other timeline there was an event where he had to save his friend and breaches the Pass. There is the event where he breached through the Three Thousands World and wreaked his own version of Havoc in Heaven and forces the celestial court of the Three Thousands World to get wrecked

There was an event where he leads his ghost army all over the Omniverse when he is challenged.

But to those who knows and to those who would be affected by all of this events, they already felt that this future that is supposed to come to them, their own calamity and their own tribulations resulting from the fate and destiny of the Child of the End, this destiny is averted

Not because they did something. But because the source of this cause and effect had changed.

And those who reflected on it knows why....those beings sitting on their divine throne, they did not feel at ease.

Instead, those who had planned based on the original blueprint of fate and destiny now found themselves.....flummoxed

The destiny of the Child of the End...should not have changed this much. It should not have change the big picture. Some minor details might change after all, they experience this before

But this massive correction, so massive that it created a ripple in fate and destiny, in cause and effect that affected the entire Omniverse, this kind of ripple means everything changed

All of those events that would come to pass and should come to pass.....would they happen again? Or would their nature and their ending would be different?

And if that is so, then in the End.....is there a way for that Child....to survive?

And now Azief is choosing to walk a different path. And the moment he chooses to walk this path, his fate changes almost immediately

He could have chosen an easier path

He could even chose to use Creation essence to create a Sovereign realm that is quite similar to the power of the Creator

Then he could be carefree from the destiny of being connected to the Etherna akin to a Carefree Immortal

He cut off Wargod and while that might seem counter intuitive one must know that anything connected to the Etherna is dangerous.

The other road is to rely on himself. To try that impossibility. To....and Azief could not help but chuckle at this....to defy the Heavens while cultivating to reach the Great Way

It means accepting the legacy of the Etherna and at the same time carry the burden of cause and effect of Etherna, reviving back the Etherna in a Universe that never have known that race

Taboo brought to life. And once he chosen this, there is no going back

This is a path of no return

If it was before, before he knew what he would ultimately become (even though this is still just a conjecture in his mind) he is quite sure his ending would be quite tragic

He knew enough about luck that for luck and fortune to be tethered at him in this abnormal amount, almost like there is nothing that could kill him, this kind of fortune is a prelude to a great disaster and great calamity

If it was before, he would be at a loss. He might choose this path of rebelling. Even if he wanted to defy it, he would not choose such a suicidal way

But, he met people. People he cares about. And he had learned something. Not only about the people he loved but people....in general

And something changed about him
