Chapter 2132: A Few Feet Short

Different people have different hardship.

And so, they also have different luck and fortune.

And those who strive to reach Sovereign realm...all of them...all of them without exception have their own stories of hardship. Of near death experience.

And they also have their own stories of fortuitous encounters, luck and fortune that only belonged to them

Hence, why everyone who managed to induce the Sovereign ascensions all of them have different experience with it.

This is his luck and fortune

Azief did not know this but in the other timeline he did not manage to get this kind of send-off. Because he failed

And there is also because his path is different. There is only Death in that path.

There is more death than life, more destruction than creation

The stairway , the steps that appears on Earth is different from those thirteen step.

Those thirteen steps are the step that truly matters.

Walking up the stairs that lead to the thirteen steps are merely the prologue.

Azief look below him and see the brick layered road, floating in the darkness of space. Looking like a brick but the energy emanating from that brick shows that it is not a brick at all.

In the past, he could not see many things and could not understand many things and he could not see how certain thing worked

It is only later when he gained certain power and certain perspective that he regretted that he did not realize certain things and did not understand certain things

One of the thing he did not realize and know what that the brick is not a brick. It might look like it but it is not.

It is also not energy condescend into a brick.

In the few years after he did walk the Supremacy Stairway, he did thought that maybe the brick he had saw in that journey is made out of cosmic energy and maybe other energy of the Universe

But he could not confirm it. the Supremacy Stairway could be sought but just because you seek it does not mean it would show itself to you.

And so, Azief simply put that question on the back of his mind

Now, he is here again.

He did not know whether he could see it again later.

So, this time he look at the brick.

And right now his eyes is basically able to see through everything.

If he look at a mortal beings, he could even deduce all the cause and effect of that mortal.

He could see through their past and could even see through their future like it was nothing defunct.

He is right now in a weird state of being a Sovereign without fully being a Sovereign.

A transition period between success and failure. Not quite a Half Step Sovereign, not quite a Sovereign. But something in those between

In the past he had already thought that the brick is from some concept of Universal laws. At that time, the very thought of someone who could meld and mend laws and crate such stairway is already powerful enough.

At that time he was simply at awe of such power and ability but it wasn’t until now he truly understood the difficulty of doing so.

Azief look at the brick beneath his fete almost like his gaze would be able to bore hole onto it.

It is not just the universal laws.

There is the earthly laws.

The divine laws.

There is around thousands of laws compacted into that one brick.

It is one thing to shape a law and give it some tangible form

It is another to forcefully put different laws into one form and shape and make sure that the shape did not explode and the laws and rules that contain all of these laws not to be disturbed.

There is such a thing that too many laws and rules make everything in chaos.

Even more so if the laws is too contradictory without a medium to ease off this conflict of existence.

Like water and fire.

Of course, if a being wields the laws they could find a way to harmonize these two seemingly incompatible laws and rules.

But when you put it into a shape and compress them and put them together it would be like colliding dangerous atoms with each other to create some singularity events.

Yet, each of the brick probably is like this one brick beneath his feet possessing all kinds of laws wrapped inside each brick.

Before, he is like a country bumpkin that only knows how to gawk and open his mouth in awe when looking at the ability of the person who made such brick but now, he is like an art critic and knows why he should be impressed.

After all, he now knows how hard it is to do such a thing.

It is like how as a normal person you look at a building and then were in awe of it.

The building is tall, big, wide, and beautiful with structures you could not believe is able to stand still.

you look at such a magnificent structure and there is only a thought of amazement. But when you learn architecture.

That awe comes from respect knowing how hard it is to build it, the amount of effort to do it and so many other factors you did not factor in before

Instead of becoming disillusioned or becoming jaded, the more you know, the more you are amazed and the more respectful you becomes

Those who do not have respect is not worth discussing things with. Some people like to disrespect anything thinking that by disrespecting thing, that is freedom, that is somehow liberation

Those who respect knows the intricacies of the things that these brutes and shallow minded people are not able to see.

Even the most cruel respect certain arts and use it to wield their power and oppress their people.

Those who did not would fall under those things.

Azief suddenly waves his hand and then there is a brick appearing floating just a few inches from his open hands and he smile

He once have a thought "Who could meld and mend Laws like it is something solid and turns it into a brick that he could walk on? That is something that is full of extravagance"

This is what he had thought before.....all those years ago when he was walking this same stairway.

At that time, even with his shallow knowledge of the power and abilities of the powerhouse in the Omniverse, he knew that the intricacies of creating such brick surpassed the method of melding or imbuing laws or rules into certain things

The altering of laws.

And now he knows that other than altering the laws, it is harmonizing the various laws, so that one could shape laws....not one laws, but hundreds of laws into one brick without the brick exploding because of the contradiction between the laws and rules present in the brick

These laws and rules are the laws and rules that make up the reality.

Things like time and space, gravity and the such, intangible thing you could not see but something you deduced.

Some of these concepts did not even exist in the minds of humans and it existed alongside reality.

There is nothing material in the brick. Not sand, not some chemical substance, laws and rules

It is like saying you created a brick from the wind that passes through your window, or using the emotion of anger to create a pillar. That is how it sounds

Ridiculous. Unbelievable. But here it is

Azief look at the brick on his hand and he smiles. His eyes looks through his own brick and he only chuckles.

At that time, he thought that he was still just an insignificant figure in the Universe comparted to those Supreme Beings.

He is too weak. But now...now, he is an equal somewhat. He look at his brick and shakes his head

"Still a few things are missing"

He could create a brick filled with laws but he could not make it as stable as the brick below his feet and he smiles

"In the end, even though I now seem to be Sovereign, I am not really yet a Sovereign" he thought about it and he could not help but laugh

A few feet short.

Not to mention he knew the path he is choosing is never chosen before. Since the creation of time, this ascension of the Etehrna....is the one and only

Azief himself probably could not see the irony of it all.

Existence , time....this is something that the mortal mind could not comprehend. How long is it since the creation of time?

The Milky Way seems a long time since it began but is it the only galaxy? What about those galaxy that the technology on Earth could not see?

How long ago did it start?

How many civilization had risen and fallen since Time began?

How many Sovereigns had risen and fallen, and how many methods and tricks has been done to reach that realm?

Some method overlapped with each other.

It is said that all Sovereign ascensions is different.
