Chapter 2133: Couldn’t and Wouldn’t?

It is said, that all Sovereign method of ascending to that realm is different

This is true to a point but when you cultivate certain laws you could somehow guess approximately how the trial would go deriving from the experience of those who cultivate that same law and try to break through to Sovereign realm

Not to say that there is many of such cases, because there is only a few cases where a Sovereign tribulation somehow feel the same.

But what Azief is trying to do, is something that no creature since the beginning of time had ever tried and dare try

Those who dare not try understood the tides of time and underused the taboo. It is not that they could not do it. but because they are wise enough not to do it and choose other methods.

Then is Azief unwise?

No, because Azief believe that he is the only one who could do this. What he didn’t know that he would the one and only and the last one who would be able to do this

Greta fortune preceded a great calamity and what is a more bigger calamity than the destruction of the entire creation?

Hence, if the calamity is great, the fortune and luck that must be bestowed is probably limitless.

Earth becoming that final battleground also is bathing in that fortune and luck.

But when fortune and luck is exhausted, even the most valiant heroes could not turn back the tide.

"Still not enough" Azief thought and waves his hand and the brick in his hand turns into motes of light

He shakes his head and look back in front of him and there is a smile on his face

All he could see in front of him is the nothingness of space.

Well, it is not quite right to say that it is nothingness.

It is mor accurate to say that in a mortal eyes, all they could see is nothingness of space. In the distance they could see large body of planets and stars and sun and moons but in his eyes, he could see more than that

If he wanted to , he could see the radiation of things, could see the magic in these seemingly empty and dark space.

His eyes could see spectrum that mortals could not understand. He could even see the atoms colliding and merging and do all kinds of things that the mortal eyes could not

There is many things he could see if he wanted to

In the space debris, he could see more than just the debris. He could even see those small dust like it is as big as a ball.

When he look at the stars and asteroid belts, he could even see the heat coming out of it, the radiation, the magic energy

Not all of the things that is floating in space has magic.

In a Universe without magical energy, one could not sense it.

Magical energy itself is very hard to determine and very hard to quantify.

Because some magic could be measured.

In a way this kind of magic seems to conform with the principle of conservation of energy.

It is....somewhat logical.

Something that the people could quantify, could even use it to easily power a nation or a planet in the same manner how mortal without magic uses technology to make life easier

Then there is the kind of magic that doesn’t seem to conform to all of this established rules that certain world would have and those who is trying to make sense of this kind of magic would find themselves driven crazy by these kind of magic

Azief shook his head and his eyes become normal again,. Before, his eyes were shining with blue golden eyes.

There is a bit of golden in that blue shine. But the moment he shook his head, his eyes become normal again. And he look again at the road.

He laughed

He never thought it would be like this now that he is once again in this stairway

He could even have time to reminisce and think about what he would have done differently

So, he could not help but laugh. He is now only excited.

To others , it might not have been long, but now, standing on this stairway again, Azief felt like this is the final stretch

He is about to walk toward the end. Sovereign is the last realm. It is realm beyond the level. He also knows once he broke through Sovereign, the system no longer would have any strings on him

He would truly transcend the limitation of the mortal body and truly become godlike

Right now, he is reforging, or reconstructing back all of his realm.

He never thought it would be like this. Would other Sovereign trials the same as his? Azief thought about it and he shakes his had

Their tribulations and trials might be very different than his tribulation.

The reason why he is in this kind of tribulation might have been that....he is now refining the body

Azief had already known the path the moment he choose to do it.

some of these he gain from the separate notes in the Etherna legacy about some method of how other race could replicate their body.

The other he gained from Wargod.

Some others are like knowledge that suddenly opens up the moment he decide to become a Sovereign that use Etherna legacy.

Like the knowledge one got from the system, the information streamed right into the mind.

Three times.

He has to do this three times.

But regardless of the cycle of which one had to be done first, Azief knows he must refine the body first.

Regardless of anything else, he must first refine the body.

If he starts from any other of the Three Treasures, then Azief believe his body would explode.

Even if somehow his body did not explode, there would be all kinds of hidden danger that would be hidden and the moment he tries to refine the second treasure he would be doomed.

That is his evaluation

Azief then takes a deep breath.

He close his eyes for a moment smile and then he took a step froward and the space around him all goes away.

And then Azief appears on the Thirty Three Steps of Supremacy

Thirteen steps is the most important but the thirty three steps is not something to be underestimated either.

He heard the bell.

A sound of a Bell ringing in the universe.

Before it rang thirteen times. Now, it only rang three times. Azief laughed. At that time, he could guess why it rang thirteen times

But now, it only rang three times.

Azief himself did not know what to make of it.

is it because there is three treasures and that is why it rang three times?

Or maybe it refers to something else?

And then he saw a golden energy suddenly enveloped everything around him. No, not around him. It is no quite accurate to say that the golden energy envelops him

It is enveloping the entire Universe he is in. This golden energy itself is very faint and its form itself is very translucent. If you did not pay attention you would think you see things wrong.

But there is a golden energy and that golden energy is enveloping the entire universe he is in

"Did this happen the last time?" Azief search his memories and he remembers some things that he had long forgotten.

But this thing, this golden energy is not something he remembers. Then he shakes his head

It might happen at that time.

But probably at that time... he didn’t notice.

Azief was curious and so he simply shoot his energy toward the barrier. His energy right now is the same as a Sovereign.

Even though he simply waves his hand and an energy blast shout out from him, this kind of energy blast is enough to shatter an entire galactic system

But the moment this energy hit that golden energy the energy blast dissipated like dust.

Azief only smiles looking at this.

He wonder what this golden energy protecting. Is it the stairway? Is it him? Is it the statue? Or is it the very Universe where this stairway is on?

Azief shakes his head.

Not every question need an answer.

He had learned he is very obsessed sometimes.

While obsession is sometime good, most of the time, it made you fail to see the bigger picture.

Some question did not have to answered and some question should remain a question.

Maybe someday, when the time is ripple, when the mind is more accepting of certain thing, those question one would have would be resolved almost immediately.

Azief did not rush to walk the steps. Before, when he wanted to rush the steps, he did not rush it

But the reason at that time was because he couldn’t.

At that time, the moment his feet touches the first step of the stairway, there was a force.....something that latch onto him

But now he truly choose to walk this step leisurely. It is funny. At that time, he wanted to rush it. but he couldn’t.

Now, he could rush it...but he didn’t want to. Couldn’t and didn’t. this difference in mentality and choices made your heart feel thing differently
