Chapter 6478: Senior’s Treasure

“Can you take me there, senior?” Chu Feng asked.

“Why do you want to go there? To wreak havoc? Do you harbor a huge grudge against the Netherworld Sect?” Wen Xue asked.

“I have my plans.”

“I’ll consider it based on your performance. Come in here first.”

Wen Xue grabbed her robe and pulled it down, revealing her fair shoulder and collarbone.

Chu Feng felt his blood rush. He had known she was beautiful, but he didn’t expect her to have such a good figure.

“Hoh, she has some substance.” Eggy stared at Wen Xue more intently than Chu Feng.

Chu Feng waved his hand and said, “Senior, I only offer my skills, not my body.”

“What nonsense are you spouting? I’m telling you to come in.”

Wen Xue formed a hand seal, and a spirit formation gate appeared beneath her collar bone. She had an innate formation realm inside her body!

“Senior, can’t you put the entrance in a more decent place?” Chu Feng asked.

“It’s safer this way because of the proximity to my bloodline. Cut the crap. Are you coming in or not?” Wen Xue urged.

“Chu Feng, could this be a trap?” Eggy was worried.

She found Wen Xue unreliable, even though she had saved Zi Ling and Chu Feng before.

Just then, the Divine Deer interjected, “While that formation realm is fused with her bloodline, I can still take you out of there if needed. You don’t have to worry.”

She had spoken up to ease Chu Feng’s worries, knowing that Wen Xue was a special entity.

“All right.”

Chu Feng did harbor some reservations, but he was planning to trust Wen Xue. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have reached out to Wen Xue in the first place. Nevertheless, it was still best to have a backup plan in the worst-case scenario.

Chu Feng entered the formation realm.

It wasn’t big, but he could communicate freely with Wen Xue. She had also left the gate open, allowing him to leave whenever he wanted. This was done to dispel his worry.

“Junior, stay in there for the time being,” Wen Xue said.

She tidied up her robe, wore her veiled bamboo hat, and made her way to the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s remnant.

“Senior, how do we enter the remnant?” Chu Feng asked.

“We’ll enter it straight,” Wen Xue replied.

“Enter it straight?” Chu Feng was taken aback.

The Netherworld Sect forbade others from entering the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s remnant because they planned to give it to the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion for their alliance.

“Didn’t I tell you I’m not just anyone?” Wen Xue replied with a smile.

“Amazing.” Chu Feng shot her a thumbs-up.

While they were chatting, Wen Xue arrived at the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s remnant and entered it straight.

The corridor beyond its entrance felt awfully eerie, unlike the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s usual style.

Soon, a figure appeared in the corridor.

A middle-aged woman sat on the ground, cultivating. She had placed her veiled bamboo hat beside her, revealing her looks. She looked beautiful, but she had a sharp glare that made it known that she was not to be trifled with.

She must be Netherworld Marshall Wuma Hanshuang.

“Master, I’m back.” Wen Xue walked up to Wuma Hanshuang and bowed to her.

“Are you still going to enter?” Wuma Hanshuang asked, but her eyes remained closed and she continued to cultivate.

“Master, I’d like to continue trying,” Wen Xue replied.

“Lord Baili has sent word that the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion’s Mansion Master has agreed to work with our Netherworld Sect. The two of them are currently making their way over.”

“The Seven Realms Sacred Mansion’s Mansion Master is coming? Then I shan’t enter lest I cause master trouble,” Wen Xue said.

There was a brief silence before Wuma Hanshuang said, “You can give it one last try. You should know what to say if you fail to leave in time and encounter the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion’s Mansion Master, right?”

“I understand. I’ll say that I’m scouting the path for the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion’s Mansion Master,” Wen Xue replied.

“Say that you did it under my order,” Wuma Hanshuang replied.

“Thank you, master.” Wen Xue bowed gratefully.

Wuma Hanshuang was offering to take responsibility for Wen Xue’s action to protect her.

“Go ahead and enter the remnant. Remember, you can take what you need, but don’t touch the legacy,” Wuma Hanshuang reminded.

“I understand,” Wen Xue replied.

She entered the corridor.

It was like a labyrinth, with many forks in the road, but Wen Xue navigated it with ease. Clearly, she had been here many times before.

“Does Wuma Hanshuang know what you’re after?” Chu Feng asked.

“She does. I told her what I wanted. But she doesn’t know that I’m bringing you in. You’d be in trouble if she ever finds out,” Wen Xue replied.

“That Wuma Hanshuang treats you very well, but won’t you be in trouble if I obtain the legacy?” Chu Feng asked.

“Obviously. I’d be implicated. Do you know who Lord Baili is? He is Baili Xukong, the leader of the Netherworld Sect’s new faction. Even Wuma Hanshuang is subservient to him despite being a Netherworld Marshall.

“But more importantly, Baili Xukong is Baili Zilin’s father. He won’t let you off if he learns that you’re here, not to mention that he’s with Jie Tianran. Naturally, I’ll be dragged into the mess, too. Wuma Hanshuang won’t protect me if she learns about this. I’ll have to flee with you from the Netherworld Sect.

“Do you finally understand how big a sacrifice I am making here?” Wen Xue said.

“I owe you a big one. I’ll do my best to help you obtain what you want,” Chu Feng replied. “Senior, we won’t be able to go to the Undying Starfield if you get exposed, right?”

“Junior Chu Feng, are you still thinking of going to the Undying Starfield? What a greedy one you are. You don’t have to worry. I have my way of bringing you there,” Wen Xue replied.

“You’re the best, senior.” Chu Feng smiled.

Wen Xue initially navigated the labyrinth with ease as if she were merely taking a stroll in her own backyard. She also overcame the obstacles along the way with ease. But her footsteps soon came to a halt.

This must be where she had gotten stuck.

Chu Feng thought it was finally time for him to make a move, but Wen Xue didn’t call for him. Instead, she took out a red compass with a flick of her wrist.

The red compass emanated the Ancient Era’s aura. Its surface was covered in noses that twitched as if it was sniffing for something, and it looked sinister and disgusting.

Wen Xue formed a hand seal and tapped the compass, prompting the noses to emanate auras that drifted eastward. She followed the auras and traveled eastward as well.

“Senior, where did you obtain this treasure from?” Chu Feng asked.

The compass resembled his Celestial Master’s Horsetail Whisk.

The Celestial Master’s Horsetail Whisk was a useful tool that had saved him many times in the past, but it was not very useful to him currently. In fact, it was inferior to his Heaven's Eyes now. Needless to say, it was also weaker than Wen Xue’s compass.

And the Celestial Master’s Horsetail Whisk was a sect-protection treasure of the Celestial Master Sacred Sect. Wen Xue’s compass must have quite an astounding background.

“I’d have lived for so many years in vain if I didn’t at least accumulate some fortune. Why? Do you want it?” Wen Xue asked.

“Sure, give it to me,” Chu Feng replied.

“Dream on. I won’t even trade it for that God Armament sword of yours,” Wen Xue scoffed.
