The two figures were none other than Chu Feng and Wen Xue.

Chu Feng stood nonchalantly in the face of Jie Tianran’s assault. It was not that he couldn’t avoid the attack, but he couldn’t be bothered to.

As he had expected, Jie Tianran’s hand passed right through his neck without hurting him.

Jie Tianran was stunned.

Chu Feng calmly spoke up, “I can’t believe a person like you is the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion’s Mansion Master. This place can only be accessed by one’s consciousness; you can’t bring your cultivation in here.”

His eyes were filled with disdain.

“Oh right. It’s my consciousness that’s in here. No wonder I run so slowly.” Wen Xue stopped escaping, but she didn’t return either, choosing to maintain her distance. She wasn’t sure if Jie Tianran had other means up his sleeves.

“Hahaha! Jie Tianran, your anger must have gotten to you! To think you aren’t as calm as your grandson!” The entity beside Jie Tianran burst into laughter.

Chu Feng eyed the spectral-like entity. This entity must be even more troublesome than Jie Tianran, or else he wouldn’t have dared speak to Jie Tianran in such a manner.

Wen Xue tried observing the runes as well, but she gave up shortly after and sat on the ground. She felt helpless. She sensed that something was hidden in the runes, but she couldn’t decipher it.

Soon, Jie Tianran began forming hand seals. A red aura emanated from his body.

Almost at the same time, Chu Feng also formed hand seals, but he emanated a green aura instead.

“Activate!” the two yelled at the same time.

The runes plummeted from the sky and fused into their bodies; Chu Feng took in the green runes, whereas Jie Tianran took in the red runes.

Moments later, the runes transformed into living entities.

Little green saplings sprouted on the desert over on Chu Feng’s side.

A red, translucent egg manifested on Jie Tianran’s side. A ferocious beast could be vaguely seen inside the egg.
