Chapter 6482: Wen Xue Cusses Out Jie Tianran
The two figures were none other than Chu Feng and Wen Xue.
Chu Feng and Wen Xue were taken aback to see Jie Tianran and the entity beside him, too. Wen Xue even pointed at Jie Tianran and exclaimed aloud, “Holy shit! Junior Chu Feng, isn’t that your loser grandfather?”
She quickly realized what was going on and turned tail to flee, but her footsteps were shockingly slow despite her running with all her might.
Jie Tianran’s killing intent flared. His hand shot forth for not Wen Xue but Chu Feng’s neck.
Chu Feng stood nonchalantly in the face of Jie Tianran’s assault. It was not that he couldn’t avoid the attack, but he couldn’t be bothered to.
As he had expected, Jie Tianran’s hand passed right through his neck without hurting him.
Jie Tianran was stunned.
Chu Feng calmly spoke up, “I can’t believe a person like you is the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion’s Mansion Master. This place can only be accessed by one’s consciousness; you can’t bring your cultivation in here.”
His eyes were filled with disdain.
“Oh right. It’s my consciousness that’s in here. No wonder I run so slowly.” Wen Xue stopped escaping, but she didn’t return either, choosing to maintain her distance. She wasn’t sure if Jie Tianran had other means up his sleeves.
“Hahaha! Jie Tianran, your anger must have gotten to you! To think you aren’t as calm as your grandson!” The entity beside Jie Tianran burst into laughter.
Chu Feng eyed the spectral-like entity. This entity must be even more troublesome than Jie Tianran, or else he wouldn’t have dared speak to Jie Tianran in such a manner.
Jie Tianran did have other means up his sleeves.
“You bastard, Chu Feng. You just keep appearing everywhere I go,” Jie Tianran sneered.
“Is there anything wrong with a weak junior like me entering remnants to advance my cultivation?
“Rather, I should be the one asking: Jie Tianran, do you have no sense of shame? Don’t you find it embarrassing how, on the one hand, you claim that the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion is the strongest world spiritist power, but on the other hand, you are so desperate to obtain the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s legacy?
“Above all, you, despite being the Mansion Master, have to bow down to the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s rules and undergo their trials. I guess the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion is still nowhere near on par with the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect,” Chu Feng said.
Jie Tianran’s cheeks twitched.
No one had ever dared to speak to him like that. His anger flared as he couldn’t stand anyone making light of him, but he didn’t make a move or lose his temper.
He knew he couldn’t do anything about Chu Feng in here. The Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect must have designed this trial in this way to ensure fair competition.
“Chu Feng, I might not be able to do anything about you here, but do you think you and that insider you have in the Netherworld Sect can escape scot-free now that I have found you?” Jie Tianran eyed Wen Xue menacingly.
“It’s a misunderstanding! Chu Feng forced me to bring him in here. I am a victim!” Wen Xue frantically waved her hand as she tried to explain herself. But her face suddenly stiffened as she recalled what she said earlier, and she smacked her forehead. “Gah! I scolded him earlier!”
Knowing there was no way to turn back time, Wen Xue raised her head, her earlier innocence giving way to savagery. “You old thing! Yes, I am helping Chu Feng out. What about it? I dare you to beat me to death!
“Come on, make your move! You despicable, underhanded, ugly, sly, shameless, old beast! I have lived for many years, but I have never seen anyone as disgusting as you!
“You claim that you only turned against your daughter because she sullied your bloodline. Please! You were merely angry because you couldn’t control her anymore.
“You said that Chu Feng’s father is a good-for-nothing, but you would have known otherwise if you looked into the Ancestral Martial Starfield. Chu Feng’s father is a true prodigy; he only grew slower due to the scarce resources there. That much should be obvious just by looking at Chu Feng’s overwhelmingly powerful Heavenly Lightning Bloodline. A good-for-nothing couldn’t have had such a formidable son.
“You refuse to acknowledge Chu Feng and his father because you’re angry that you failed to control Lord Jie Ranqing, so you directed your anger toward Chu Feng. You’re so shameless that you would attempt to plunder your own grandson’s bloodline. I’ve never seen someone as shameless as you.
“You only became the Mansion Master because you were unscrupulous enough to backstab everyone around you to acquire a bit of power. Do you think your people truly respect you? No, they are just afraid of you. Who knows how much they despise you on the inside?
“No one sane would respect a scum like you!” Wen Xue pointed at Jie Tianran and cussed him out at a rapid pace, leaving no room for the latter to argue back.
Chu Feng could hear Jie Tianran gnashing his teeth. The latter’s killing intent was palpable even though they were mere consciousness here.
All of a sudden, everyone raised their heads. The runes reminiscent of birds were buzzing loudly in the sky.
What they had to do now was to acquire the benefits hidden here, and the runes were the clue. They might have lost their cultivation, but they retained their observation prowess. Neither Chu Feng nor Jie Tianran wanted to lose out, so they began observing the runes intently.
Wen Xue tried observing the runes as well, but she gave up shortly after and sat on the ground. She felt helpless. She sensed that something was hidden in the runes, but she couldn’t decipher it.
Soon, Jie Tianran began forming hand seals. A red aura emanated from his body.
Almost at the same time, Chu Feng also formed hand seals, but he emanated a green aura instead.
“Activate!” the two yelled at the same time.
The runes plummeted from the sky and fused into their bodies; Chu Feng took in the green runes, whereas Jie Tianran took in the red runes.
Moments later, the runes transformed into living entities.
Little green saplings sprouted on the desert over on Chu Feng’s side.
A red, translucent egg manifested on Jie Tianran’s side. A ferocious beast could be vaguely seen inside the egg.
