Chapter 6043, Space Principles
Chapter 6043, Space Principles
Author: Silavin
*Rumble*
Without any time to clean up, Mo Na Ye could sense a huge wave of enemies approaching from the frontlines. Though not maximised to its greatest potential, the Purifying Light release would still be deemed the greatest threat here, and he had already anticipated this would happen.
He took out his Small Black Nest to order those from the frontlines to retreat while he charged out to the front. It was his optimistic hope to have the enemies pincered, but he would rather prioritise the lives of his men now with how unskilled the children were.
This change in priority clearly highlights the change in the present Black Ink Clan compared to the past, where lives were just numbers. Mo Na Ye personally was thankful that this had changed.
Still, his war-like demeanour had not changed as he charged out to the front, taking on any enemies that came his way.
“Follow me from behind and just keep blasting Purifying Light. Keep practicing! Don’t worry about me.” Mo Na Ye roared as in his hand formed a sharp javelin made of Black Ink Strength. When the twins sensed it for that brief moment he held onto it, they could have sworn it was no different in hardness to Eighth-Order Metal Ores.
Once Mo Na Ye threw it, it flew so fast they could have sworn it had disappeared for a moment.
*Boom!*
The very next second, the javelin struck the ground and blew up, creating a massive creator.
It was an explosion made purely from the potential energy within the javelin.
Mo Na Ye had to tweak the way he fought here. He was no longer dealing with Humans, after all. When he fought against Human, the corruptive effects of Black Ink Strength was something that the enemy feared. However, when dealing with his own kind, such effects played a minor role.
His own people, or those hailed from the Holy Ones, were all influenced by Black Ink Strength. However, such influences were limited to their mental and emotional state. It would not be enough to kill them. Therefore, in duals between Black Ink Clansmen, fights were mostly done through physical means. Black Ink Strength might supplement as weapons, or footholds, but they could not be used the same way as when dealing with Humans.
Naturally, with how tough those hailed from the Holy Ones were, Mo Na Ye knew that one release was not enough.
Each time he pulled his arm back, another javelin would form and he would toss it again. He did so repeatedly, creating tremors while running forward.
*Boom! Boom! Boom!*
The twins behind followed suit and ran, also releasing Purifying Light whenever they could. However, tried as they might, most ended up the same, with the light enveloping them.
Ironically, while Mo Na Ye was dealing with the enemies, all they did was practice. In fact, they had not even hurt a single fly. All they were doing was terraforming the land to create more meaningless craters. They could not help but wonder if they were even necessary.
As for Mo Na Ye, who was at the front, he would always keep his distance from them. Otherwise, he too would get burned by the light. Still, there was another reason why he remained at the front, a distance away from them.
“Quickly! Set up your Defensive Array!” Mo Na Ye roared and in his hands quickly formed a long spear this time.
Rather than throwing forward, he held his weapon tightly with both hands as his feet dug into the ground. The very next instant, he leaped, flying so fast the twins did not even manage to catch where he went.
The next thing they knew, a huge blast, stronger than all the previous ones, erupted a distance away from them. The wind pressure from it was so strong, they could feel their bodies getting pushed back even from this distance.
Yang Ji was the one to react. He took out an Array Plate and immediately injected his Qi into it.
A Protective Array was formed, a barrier to shield them from the elements. However, even this was not enough to prevent worry from eating away at them. After all, every wind blast was accompanied by overt ripples on the protective barrier.
Though Yang Ji and Yang Xu knew the Protective Array would still hold, the aftermath of a true exchange between a Royal Lord and an enemy of his equal was nevertheless just as terrifying. This was a battle they knew they would not be able to participate in.
It made them all the more question why they were brought here.
Still, they knew they had a task to do.
An irreplaceable task. This was why, despite their low cultivation realm, they were still tossed to the frontlines.
“You think you can do it?” Yang Ji asked, as he gave a forced smile. Despite wanting to seem calm in front of his Sister, cracks still showed.
“Not without being able to concentrate the Purifying Light blast into a beam…” Yang Xu replied, as she also forced a smile.
“Then, you have a clue how we can concentrate Purifying Light into a beam?” Yang Ji asked, a little hopeful.
Yang Xu gave a small nod, “We can’t manipulate it using our Qi or Divine Sense. Purifying Light just passes through everything.”
Yang Ji, seeming to get what she was hinting at, suddenly added with her at the same time.
“”We need to use Space Principles.””
Yang Xu gave a nod. That was the conclusion she had come to. After all, since Mo Na Ye said that their Father could do it, it had to be something that their Father could do at that time. Though they did not know the full history of the war, they knew that their Father had only mastered the 3000 Daos close to the end of the war. Yet, Purifying Light was introduced quite early on once he joined the cause. It had played a pivotal role in the war, and Artifacts were built to help aid the Humans in their crusade.
However, Mo Na Ye had specifically said that their Father was able to manipulate Purifying Light. This was without an Artifact. That could only mean one thing – if Qi and Divine Sense did not work – he had manipulated it through using Space Principles.
Unfortunately, this was where they were stumped. The twins could not currently manipulate Space Principles while in this world. The World Principles here were just too different from the outside world.
That was when Yang Ji got a brilliant idea. “Maybe she knows how to manipulate Space Principles here?”
“She?” Yang Xu tilted her head, slightly confused.
“You know, the little worm.” Yang Ji said while already reaching out for his inner chest pocket.
“Why would she know anything?” Yang Xu could not help but step away as she questioningly asked.
“Well, she isn’t an Artifact that is tied to my Soul. Yet, she can enter and exit my Dantian as she pleases. Isn’t that something akin to teleportation – like, how we travel through the Void?” Yang Ji stated as he used his index finger to poke her awake.
Yang Xu gave a contemplative expression. She certainly could not deny that it was a possibility. She had been so used to seeing Artifacts coming out of a cultivator that she forgot living creatures were not supposed to be able to do that. In fact, unless they had a Small Universe, cultivators could not possibly store living creatures within their bodies. However, she and her Brother were only in the Dao Source Realm. They definitely did not have a Small Universe in their body. Yet, this thing could go in and out of her Brother like his flesh did not even exist, and settle in his Dantian.
The little worm seemed reluctant to awaken at first. However, with all the constant poking, she eventually relented and woke up with tired eyes.
Maybe because she had been sleeping for so long, she seemed like she was in a receptive mood.
Yang Ji quickly asked her, “Hey, little one, can you tell me how you manage to manipulate the Space Principles here?”
