Chapter 6044, Difference Between Realms

Chapter 6044, Difference Between Realms

Author: Silavin

The little worm thought for a moment. She seems to contemplate what to ask for in return.

Strangely, though seemingly powerful, she did not extend her Divine Sense to communicate her will. In fact, Yang Ji and Yang Xu could not sense her cultivation. Though, that would not be too strange as this little thing had just been ‘born?’ ‘created?’ just days ago.

Instead, after a brief moment, the little worm seemed to have made a decision and started to open its small mouth. From it, black flames started to spew forth. However, these were not ordinary flames. They bore no heat, and only seemed to reassemble flames in appearance.

Whether heat was lacking due to them not meaning to hurt anyone was unimportant at this moment, as these flames were created to form words in front of the boy.

‘Soul replenishing Pills’

“Huh? You want Pills that replenish the Soul?” Yang Ji asked in confirmation, and Yang Xu took out a few bottles from her Space Ring.

These Pills were made by their Mother Ning Chang. Though they were not her children by blood, it could be said that Ning Chang was the one of those who pampered them the most. If she was not refining Pills, she would always be on their side. Even when she was pregnant, she would alway spare time to play with them. Even after her first child was born, she still provided them with the same amount of attention. In fact, Ning Chang was like this to all the children.

Out of all the Mothers, Ning Chang was definitely the most liked among the children. If not for how gentle and accepting she was, there were always the insurmountable Pills that she always gave them.

It had to be noted that these Pills were always those of the highest grade, with many of them having Pill Veins. They were priceless outside, but she would give her children Pills like they were food – not candy because that was just how much she gave them.

At some point, the material use became so much that other Alchemists of High Heaven Palace wanted to raise a complaint to the Sect Master, Yang Kai. However, what could they do when she used the proceeds of the Pills she sold outside to purchase materials for the Pills she made for the children?

Naturally, that meant that the twins had plenty of Pills, especially those that healed. With how fast their injuries heal, they did not ever need to use such Pills. Yet, these Pills had accumulated over time, with Ning Chang’s excitement to always give them something each time they saw her. Eventually, bottles became mountains…

And since they were twins, and the oldest of all the children, Ning Chang probably gave them the most Pills out of everyone…

In short, they were not short on Pills. Taking out these few bottles of High Rank Seventh-Order Divine Soul Restoration Pills would not make their inventory seem any fewer.

Yang Xu quickly opened up a bottle and a scent that invigorated one’s Soul immediately spread out. The little worm naturally noticed this first as she immediately turned towards Yang Xu. However, instead of pouncing and taking whatever she wanted, the little worm seem to have some grace and awaited for the transaction to be approved. Stll, her eyes certainly glowed with a strange light, as though she was looking at a golden goose.

This actually made Yang Xu raise her eyebrow. “Say, why do you need these Pills for? Your Soul couldn’t have been damaged since you were just born.”

The little worm gave a small scoff, as if to say, ‘what does a little girl like you know?’

Naturally, the twins could not read her mind, and could only await her response in gestures or words. So, the little worm’s reaction did not garner any reaction from them. Still, Yang Xu for some reason felt an instinctive urge to crush this little shit.

Still, Yang Xu did not act on instinct and awaited the little worm’s response.

More black flames came out, ‘I need them for my own use.’

“So, in short, you are unwilling to say, huh?” Yang Xu’s eyes sharpened. However, that was when Yang Ji stepped in.

“Okay, I think that’s enough. We don’t have time to deal with this right now. If you want to hide things from us, fine. All of us have our own secrets. Our most pressing thing right now is to survive. If we can’t use Space Principles, if a second Royal Lord comes, we are dead.” Yang Ji coldly stated, as if to stop the sparks between a worm and a little girl from further intensifying.

“Fine. Here you go.” Yang Xu did not want to quarrel with her Brother here. She also did not wish to get close to the worm so she used her Qi to direct the Pills out of the bottle, towards the little worm.

The little worm, seeing how they had backed off, gave a nod of acknowledgement. This was her way of showing some semblance of respect to the two who respected her boundaries.

She opened her mouth and took in the massive Pills into her body with a few gulps.

Seeming to be satisfied, the little worm flew towards Yang Ji’s forehead and rested her tail in between his eyebrows.

Immediately, fragments of knowledge started to engrave themselves in his mind. He felt a pang of pain and his hands moved up to clench his head. However, it was as quick to end as it had begun.

Soon, he commented with light in his eyes, enlightened by it. “I see. So that’s how it is done…”

The little worm, seeming a little proud of what she had done, was turning her head towards the girl. She was awaiting the scenario where the Little Sister would also ask her to teach. In return, she could ask for more Pills. However, that did not happen, as Yang Xu immediately showcased mastery over using Space Principles here.

Yang Xu spread her delicate fingers, but the space between them seemed to distort. Eventually, it cracked, creating a spider web-like crack in the air.

Yang Xu smiled and then looked over to the little worm, as if mocking, ‘think you were going to take advantage of me huh?’

The little worm looked away and scoffed, obviously unamused by this turn of events. In her mind, she was confused how Yang Xu had already mastered it so quickly.

It had to be said that the application of Space Principles was difficult as it was related to the Dao of Space – one of the most esoteric Daos. Still, the twins already had great mastery over the Dao of Time and the Dao of Space. It was just that this place had different World Principles. Thus, they could not fully apply what they knew to manipulate the Space Principles here.

Still, it was not like the two places had completely different World Principles. There were some similarities. The main difference being that over here, the World Principles were more obscure, with a mix of Spiritual Energy mixed into it. It felt like the World Principles here were each a world of their own, with a ‘Will’ of their own.

Still, these ‘Wills’ were weak. Yang Ji and Yang Xu just had to infuse a certain level of Spiritual Energy, and willed their Divine Sense to do the action in that area of Space before trying to manipulate the Space Principles there.

It was certainly tougher to manipulate Space Principles here. However, it was still manageable for the two.

That being said, typically, it would take a lot more time to master it. Much less, without the little worm’s guidance, it should have been impossible to notice this difference. Thus, the little worm was confused how Yang Xu was able to accomplish this feat without her input.

Though frustrated, the little worm did not show it. She still had her pride to uphold. If she wanted to show any frustration, she would do it in her down space. In other words, Yang Ji’s Dantian.

Since there was nothing left for her to do, the little worm slipped away from the twins. Not even bothering to bid farewell. She just disappeared from sight once the twins were not looking at her. Right now, all she wanted to do was to cultivate with the Pills she had just gotten.

Meanwhile, Yang Xu looked at Yang Ji and asked, “Don’t you find that thing suspicious?”

Yang Ji rolled his eyes, and replied. “Of course I do. But, it is a fact that we currently need her. Though I have no assurances, I don’t feel like she bears any ill-intent. So, I’m just going to remain hopeful. Eitherways, I have you to help me if I get into trouble right?”

Yang Xu pouted and gave a nod. She thought of how sly her Brother was. [When he puts it like that, I can’t really complain. How unfair…]
