Chapter 2871: 2871. Growing Faster

While he hadn't realized it, Walker had spoken with the manas all mixed within his body. His words carried weight that demanded a response in some way.

While the true water age knew that Walker had asked of something that would help solve the issues here, they also grasped that Walker was acting beyond the norm.

Walker was acting and speaking like the elemental kings. With a weight that carries beyond just the small aspects of a single mana or a single cause. He had spoken with intent and solidity that came from power.

In time, Walker would do so more often in times of seriousness. It would have more effects on what and how he could manage to function even more. Regardless of this, the true water sage was already acting and did not take a moment to dwell on these facts.

The water elemental rune that had formed within the newly added water elemental alone was not one that could be called the same as the ones that came about naturally in the world.

These were a purer form of water elemental rune that formed because of the density and intended balance within the water elemental plane that had been sitting and balancing over a great deal of time. It was also most likely the reason that this specific elemental plane was melded with the greater water elemental plane now despite the dangerous spear head sharks that Walker was defeating in every single movement.

The naturally formed pure and true water elemental runes could assist an area of the water elemental plane's growth. It would allow for areas that were even and balance water mana to grow in purity and provide an ideal place for certain species of monster, plants, and even races to live. This was why many villages or cities had such a rune within them. Societies could form around them easily.

The rune was also easily handled by the true water sage.

The true water sage had forgotten a physical form as they became part of water as a whole. They held their mentality and ego. They were still who they were but their eyes were opened wide to what water was and how it anchored life for some beings. They also could see beyond the smaller aspects of water to see a grander picture.

This aside, the rune quickly showed reactions to their prompting and the currents causing chaos began to calm. It made the spear head sharks hesitate since they had lost the flow they were in. Their missed attacks and thrown off movements allowed Walker to sprint through the water and slash them apart while the eternal codex changed forms.

The display of several weapon types and mixed magical spells would have brought anyone in to a state of awe. For the true water sage that was keeping an eye on the situation, it was an astounding happening. Proof that Walker was well beyond many of his size and strength compared to what they knew.

Walker had defeated countless spear head sharks. His attacks had been done so that they would be eliminated, even though it would most likely have some value to keep a few and research them. Yet, he also understood that this was not the way for the water elemental alone.

This was a threat to the balance and flow of the water elemental planes and could lead to issues with all of the elemental planners. Therefore, they would need to be eliminated.

The feeling was weighed a little greater than what he enjoyed. But Walker needed to accept such a thing so that he could maintain his own strength. It was just a matter of time before he would view more situations like this. More events where a choice like this would decide or influence so very much more than just one elemental plane or just one race.

The sudden calmness and peace in the water made Walker wonder what was happening.

He slowly noticed the bubble race members gathering the ash and dust from the burned up spear head sharks he had let flow as ash back in to the waters. They were cleaning the area and floated about around him harmlessly. They even seemed to be thanking him in a way by their movements past him.

They did not communicate in the same ways as others but they still managed to get their appreciation through. They were acting as they had always done and helped maintain the water elemental alone in their own ways with their own skills. Yet, Walker caught on that they were also welcoming him here too. He felt as if he could return to them and be surrounded by peace if he decided to ever visit again.

It was an open invitation that came with thanks and appreciation.

The massive gulper catfish was drifting toward the denser mana of the deep water elemental plane. It had come to assist and help and now it needed to return to where it was meant to be. Its presence here has consumed a great deal of the sudden burst of dense water elemental mana.

It would be able to grow more from gaining that mana as a food source while it had managed to assist the water king in their duties to maintain the balance of the water element plan.

"You have done well to help us." The true water sage was nowhere to be seen but a golem body taking an oddly strange fish like shape moved around Walker. It was looking him up and down as if he was different than before.

"You have changed again. You are more like the elemental kings than you were before. You are more like a ruler." From the way Walker had used space mana and fire mana isolating it and ensuring the balance of the elemental planes would not be damaged, this was more than a true statement. It was spot on.

"I came because I was requested to help form a quest. It was existence I believe that wished to make sure that you had the help. I also feel like the push for growth here in the elemental planes is becoming more vibrant." This was the nicest way that Walker could think to say that there was even more danger than there had been before within the elemental planes.

He had rushed here because there was a new elemental plane added to the water elemental plane. Yes, this was happening over and over through the entirety of the greater elemental planes.

That wasn't the issue at hand though.

The focus should be on the fact that there were places that could not be handled due to so many instances of this happening within each elemental plane. Proof that there needed to be a helping hand in situations where a race or important area of the elemental plane was being thrown in to danger.

"There is indeed a greater amount of turmoil. Things are changing quickly." The undertone of worries from the true water sage drifted through the water mana before the golem began to dissipate. A few small herbs and seeds appeared where they had been. A gift of sorts, or at least that was how Walker was taking it.

The arrival of a few other monsters looking like tamed monsters swimming around the bubble race made it clear that other guards would be arriving soon. His duty was done, but the effects of what he had done and seen would not be leaving.

He had acted out of the usual to help because he had sensed he was capable of such things. He had isolated certain manas and avoided harm to the elemental planes. He has accomplished his goal here but also proven that he was growing without even realizing it.

"Just how much growing am I doing while I am walking about?"

The thought that he was growing beyond the world was something he didn't like. If he accidentally caused harm with a spell of ideal outside the safe bounds others worked in, what would he do?

Should he fear his own strength?

No, he had to learn and be more present in his own abilities and growth. For that, he would need time to focus on such things. There was no guide to being a member of the origin race. Therefore, he would create one.

If he wanted a bigger family one day.

If he wished to be a father, then would his children not have the potential to live through some of the things he was living through now?

If so, then he should leave them every tool he could so that they could thrive. It was a pleasant thought while he drifted toward home from the water elemental plane. Walker was entirely ignorant of the fact that the water king had witnessed everything from the sidelines.
