Chapter 3046. Part Of It All

Chapter 3046: 3046. Part Of It All

The rest of the part was firmly planted and prepared behind Walker.

They had all neared the spine bear undead elemental plane. They could sense the dense undead mana forming in clusters and breaking apart.

The sight was even somewhat amazing to say the least.

Small bones trying to form and connect while the light and flame of underneath sparked but inevitably failed. Or they were stamped out by larger bear undead that could only be called monsters by their gruesome strength and appearance.

The bone claws they possessed appeared razor sharp. Ready to gouge and tear apart anything they faced. The marks on some bone like trees and even stones that could easily have been the hip or skull bones of other undead once upon a time shown clearly.

They watched a smaller undead spine bear leap in ambush at a slightly larger one. The undead quarreled causing an arm and a leg to be ripped free from each before the larger was defeated. The bones and undead mana flowed in to the smaller one causing its body to rebuild. To grow larger.

The remnant bones left behind to be filled with undead mana yet again and begin to move slightly after just an hour.

This endless loop of undead mana circulating and creating new undead that fought in the same form and tried to become greater each time never ceased.

Walker wondered about time mana and how it worked like this. Yet, he also understood that it was not a simple circular flow of time.

This was a balanced space with a foundation that allowed this flow of circulating undead mana. The life and death mana had come together to make it so and as long as the plane could pull in smaller amounts of other manas and undead mana to form it would keep going.

That was how materials and even undead had been harvested from here.

The plane had no owner no protector since it was already dense and potent.

It carried weight but it also appeared to have little to no value to many.. Even an undead would just take it and use it for the mana and a few undead.

Whether or not that would actually be valuable to a powerful undead with intelligence capable of traveling the chaotic outer elemental planes didn’t really matter to Walker.

He felt the very manas here were not simple, either. They had mixed for an unknown hundreds maybe even thousands of years to change and suit the undead mana.

’Grave soil

This is earth mana perfectly balanced and fused with undead mana. It is ideal for allowing the rebirth of undead plants, herbs, and creatures.

Due to its perfect balances, it is able to be used to produce many things. It can even be considered the perfect material for crafting an undead if it is used in high enough quantities. Making such a soil can sometimes be an arduous task...’

’Grave whip

This is a vine that grows and whips out using undead mana. That is why there are bone like petals on each black flour. That is how it releases wisps of undead mana to trap weaker creatures and absorb their undead mana as nutrition...’

’Dead iron ore

This is iron ore made perfectly in the image of undead mana. It can be consumed by certain undead affinity beings. As such it can also be forged with to create unique undead items, apparel, creatures...’

Walker was reading each appraisal out loud as everyone understood this different perspective on existence.

Undead were part of a greater balance and could be called life in a sense that they and many others would not interpret as such.

Just because it was so radically different did not mean that it should be denied. It had its own balance and place, but was rarely seen properly. It might even be isolated and forsaken if it was not balanced in small quantities with other aspects of the world, elemental planes, and existence itself.

It was rare because it was rare. Not because it was wrong or did not deserve to be. Simply put, it was hard for it to exist in the right forms to exist, period.

"I guess I was limiting myself to looking only at what I actually accepted. I said I studied and accepted undead mana but I never really did. I just put it in a box in my mind and ignored it. Just because this was a part of existence that I dislike and even fear, I made it seem less like it was important. But it is important."

The long sight came as Walker accepted the small feeling in his heart telling him to accept the undead mana.

Not telling him to absorb it or to use it. Telling him that it needed recognition.

He, as a member of the origin race. As a sage title holder. As a hero. As someone who was looking to learn more. To protect more.

Someone who was on a path he couldn’t see an end to.

He had to accept it. That was a duty he should have kept foremost in his mind.

"As part of what balance is, even the undead are a pillar."

His mana spread out rapidly. Natural mana, elemental manas he drew in, and even the bits of life and death mana he carried in his body naturally. Walker let it all flow as he sealed this elemental plane properly.

The others had heard him but sensed his feelings more than anything. They knew that standing her for hours while looking at it wasn’t just Walker appraising and speaking. He was meditating out loud.

It had begun to help them change their perception as well. Not in the same ways, but enough that they could tell he was seeing a new potential for balance beyond his average knowledge.

As the mana compressed, the larger more powerful undead spine bears moved and lay flat to rest. The undead mana still flowed but they suddenly lost a great deal of aggressive ones with their elemental plane being sealed and not being open for the first time since it existed.

As the multi dimensional storage skill reacted, Walker made this the core of an undead space.

Not one for storage, it would be more than that.

A place where he could gather dangerous undead that lacked the will and intelligence to halt themselves. He could gather the mana and unique materials that came about because of them. He could utilize that mana and find times and places where they needed to exist to keep the balance necessary for existence.

While he would still need to struggle to properly understand and accept it, this was his step as an origin race member.

It was the first and largest step using his strong abilities to begin more than just crafting what he saw. He was fostering the proper existence of worlds and storages. He was willing himself to accept even the more abrasive sides of existence.

Peace was not all songs and silence. It was sometimes chaotic. It was sometimes loud and brutal. But nature was part of peace.

Peace could be a balance in what anyone else would see as chaos and brutality. So that was the deal.

He accepted this factor he did not enjoy because he needed to.

How else could he truly grow and see what he and the rest of those he had protected could become?

"That was something, hm?" Gil elbowed him as Walker absorbed the last of his own remaining mana and they looked at the empty space.

"You were all right. It was time for me to accept some undead mana and that the undead exist. I wasn’t really ready but you all knew that I was. Thank you." He let that sit in the silence while everyone else looked at him.

"Is now the wrong time to tell you that I think one of the bushes you didn’t appraise had berries that looked like snake eyeballs?" Now they all grimaced as Remey started to laugh like wild. Walker nearly used her own move on her to punch her but Su was already trying to tackle her to the side.

The group devolved for a moment like this. Letting their stress at encountering this place dissolve.

They weren’t just fooling around, they each had their own ways to accept the past and their new perceptions of what undead was as a whole.

It was just a matter of time before Genesis would have to go through the same things.

There would be necromancers. Undead of every race that appeared. Even some instances where people would wish to raise undead materials and plants. It was to be expected in such a diverse and amazing society full of potential.

Now they would be ready to accept it and help limit it safely and properly rather than fear or worry as they had before.
