Chapter 3065. Progress and Mystery
Chapter 3065: 3065. Progress and Mystery
"Remey and Gil did?" Now Walker was taking his turn to wonder what was happening. Not just because he had heard what Alma just said clearly, but because he was wondering just what had prompted the two to spend time together. Normally they were fighting or teasing one another like a pair of brother and sister without filters.
"They are working on the experimental greenhouses in the treetops dealing with fire mana. Remey needed the fire mana to help her recover from all that training and Gil needed the input because he has limited knowledge." Alma looked at the golem body smugly to prove that she knew the two of them very well.
"I’m glad you are a genius who can use your mind for good." His laughter made Alma feel even better in her choices.
However, the reason they had gotten on to this conversation was because Alma had just sent away multiple attendants who had reported the decisions and recent events to her.
She has been staying true to herself and making sure to rest. That was what the child she carried needed. She had also upkept the promises to Gil and not been doing a lot of papperwork and other work that could stress her.
Instead, she had added input here and there while insisting that she be given reports. It was honest and it was still responsible.
Yet, the reason that Walker was refocused from helping her in the leadership capacities and standing still in a room listening to her was because she had again asked him to appraise her.
This had been one thing that she preferred rather than having the healers responsible for caring for mothers look at her constantly.
She was comfortable with Walker because she knew that he studied every bit of information he could. Everything that the healer specializes in care of mothers and children said he remembered well. But also, he was family to her as well.
Gil trusted him and made sure that he was available to help him and her in whatever they needed. Walker was trustworthy and the value he placed on family and the people of Genesis was immeasurable. Not to mention that he also would go above and beyond for both of those subjects in whatever ways necessary.
"I have already appraised your body three times today.." he knew this was also a normal symptom of worrying mothers.
He had been warned that Alma would certainly fall in to the same thoughts as many. It was natural to worry and to make sure that their health was perfect for the child they were trying to grow. Yet, he also knew it was the stress of being taken care of so well, not many people would be under such situations.
There was more mana and better nutrition than ever. Not to mention the much higher level of care.
All races were finding that their children grew faster in the last year along with their own growth to carry that child and bring it in to the world too.
The worry was there and they wanted to make sure that it was safe and perfect as well.
"Just do it again."
"Alma, you have already grown and nourished the child you are carrying months ahead of schedule. For an elf, you have broken the understanding that an elven child should be carried for over a year, if not multiple in some cases. So, trust the potions, the care you take every day, and the fact that you have the best of the best. You even received blessings from the spirit trees that helped you adapt and grow better. So trust it."
He reassured her, but he also thought about the way she was looking at him. Alma was beginning to show a lot more changes than normal.
All good changes.
It made Walker understand that in a very short while there would be a tiny crying copy of Gil and Alma ready to face the world. It made him wonder just how everything moved so quickly.
Maybe if he learned time magic, he could slow his perception of things. Allow himself to dwell within the moments and adventures he was in longer. But then again, they were adapting quickly. Growing even quicker.
The entire party did so much and time got away from them.
They would realize they spend weeks doing something that they would have grown tired of or too hungry to focus on in just a couple of hours when they had first started as adventurers. Things had changed for the better, it was just them needing to accept that.
"Then I want you to tell Gil to get over here and spend some time with me." Her humdrum was moody and somewhat adorable. Walker fully understood what she wanted though. She was stuck in bed resting and had just handled something she found interesting.
Especially since the herbs made in those greenhouses were very helpful for different races. If the elves were responsible for them, then they could grow more of their relationships with other races. It was all about tying people together even more strongly than before.
Plus, if she was worried, it was always easier to make Gil run around for her. Whatever that was, Walker worried about his own future if he was even in that situation. It seemed that Gil had a lot ahead of him.
Another golem body was looking at the dungeon.
Not the fire affinity dungeon that Ignus had a hand in changing accidentally.
It was a dungeon that had just been found in a primary area that adventurers hunted.
This was a place that the horned rabbits often moved through when they tried to get near some of the farm fields around the human territory. It was also an area that expanded significantly when the world regained proper flow of mana.
This allowed for a lot more area to explore leading to some small remnants of hunting in the ancient times here too. Bits of arrows, broken wooden weapons that had degraded but barely kept shape due to the compact field roots holding them together.
It was interesting enough that some with archeology classes had the adventurers guide them there to find this or that to tie these ancient weapon pieces to a race and explain what they might have used them for.
The information was interesting and Walker had enjoyed it, until he had received a communication crystal message telling him that a few adventurers had been calling for assistance.
Clara had asked him specifically to check it since she trusted him to give them the best knowledge on a new dungeon. But also to be able to reprimand the adventurers who had gone in to it and come out injured and unable to return to Genesis right now.
They had also left three archaeologist class users unable to safely travel back to Genesis. The very fact of which caused them to have their adventurers identification currently locked down and on a list of those who would face even more severe punishment once they actually returned.
Things that the adventurers’ guild could and would handle. But knowing the dungeon and being able to record the information about whether it was safe or not was ideally with Walker who had the most experience in visiting and appraising them.
He also found it interesting enough that one had appeared out of nowhere in the middle of a field.
Even looking at it, he wondered how a single wooden door like this was actually realized to be a dungeon and not some strange door just placed on a set of iron hinges and frame in the middle of a field as a prank.
The only show was the various manas that moved around it and the fact that there was a name carved in to the wood.
He glanced at the adventurer group covered in rough cuts and damaged armor along with three very unhappy looking archaeologists. He knew that they had already expressed their anger, but they also were finally glad to see Walker here with a golem body to handle the issue.
"First, I will heal all of you partially. The rest of your injuries will be checked and examined by healers. The three of you, I have spoken about your gold payments being refunded and an adventurer team with stronger minds being assigned to you if you wish. I will even teleport them here to you if you wish." Walker saw an affirmative nod and started to do so.
He still focused on the words carved in to the door.
He knew that they were a mix of elven words and dwarven words. But he also knew that they were not normal characters and not at all radiating the mana that should be here. He even felt that saying the name out loud might be a mistake...
