Chapter 1219: Heavenly Library
Chapter 1219: Heavenly Library
“Make no mistake in thinking that just because I said mortals primarily inhabit the Lower Realm, that means they are absent from the Upper Realm,” the Sword Ruler continued. “The Upper Realm still has a lot of mortals. After all, no matter how powerful we cultivators become, at the end of the day, we still need help from mortals to handle a few things,” his tone remaining calm as he moved.
Anthony nodded at Nathaniel’s words. He hadn’t assumed such a thing; only fools would make such an assumption.
“Are there different power systems between the Upper Realm and the Lower Realms? Also, are people from the Upper Realm allowed to move to the Lower Realm whenever they wish, or are there certain restrictions?” Anthony asked, his body still cloaked in Origin Essence.
“There are,” Nathaniel began to explain. “Where the Lower Realm’s cultivation ranks end is where the Upper Realm’s cultivation ranks begin. And as for the restrictions on travelling between the Realms, there most certainly are,” his tone remained calm. “What would be the point of separating them into Upper and Lower Realms if the strong people from here could simply descend to the Lower Realms and cause problems? But, obviously, there are ways to bypass these restrictions and sneak into the Lower Realm. However, when you do, your power is reduced to the peak of the Lower Realm. Although, on a personal level, I’ve never had any dealings with the Lower Realm, as I have found nothing there of interest,” he paused for a moment before continuing.
“But when it comes to heading to a Lower Galaxy like the Acarnis Galaxy, no restrictions exist as long as you are strong enough to traverse the boundaries between both realities on your own. Neither are there any power restrictions or suppressions. In fact, I rushed back towards the Acarnis Galaxy the moment I became strong enough to traverse the boundaries,” Nathaniel explained despite Anthony not asking the question, as though he already knew Anthony would ask it next.
Anthony remained silent for a moment as he moved, seemingly contemplating a few things.
‘Is the Lower Realm just like the Lower Galaxies?’ Anthony thought to himself.
At that thought, he shook his head. Although the Founder had said that where the cultivation of the Lower Realm stopped was where the Upper Realm’s began, Anthony was certain that peak cultivators from the Lower Realm would be predominantly stronger than Apexus Mana Rank cultivators from any Lower Galaxy.
“Can I ask about the power system? Like the cultivation ranks of both the Upper Realm and the Lower Realm?” Anthony asked, his blue eyes fixed ahead.
The Sword Ruler simply shook his head as he replied, “I’m too lazy to explain that. You will have to read about it when you get to the Heavenly Library,” his tone calm.
“Heavenly Library, huh?” Anthony spoke aloud as he committed the name to memory.
“It’s not anything great, so don’t overthink the name. It’s just a simple library at my sect, nothing more,” Nathaniel explained.
Anthony nodded as he simply decided to view this Heavenly Library in the same light as the Tower Of Knowledge that the military had.
“Also, I should probably advise you on this,” the Sword Ruler continued. “During your ascension, I’m sure you noticed a bit of physical transformation but didn’t feel any increase in power, right?” he asked.
Anthony nodded in reply.
“Well, one of the true changes you experienced, but haven’t yet discovered, is that the Essence we had at the Apexus Mana Rank no longer exists. Meaning we can’t just tank physical damage and allow our bodies to passively regenerate instantly while only caring about attacks that damage our Essence,” he continued. “So be careful from now on. Every blow you take matters. Injuries can last a lifetime, and some injuries can even make people regress in their cultivation progression. Although your regeneration ability is impressive and fast, I’m sure you’ve seen how easily it was restricted,” his tone turning stern towards the end.
Then a smile appeared at the corners of his lips as he added, “Although, with your talent, I suppose I don’t need to worry about you,” his tone filled with pride.
Why wouldn’t he be proud? He had a descendant who had climbed to this stage at the age of twenty. Not even the so-called geniuses of these Upper Realms could accomplish such a feat.
Nathaniel was already making plans. He intended to introduce Anthony as his son from a one-night stand to the Elders of his sect. As for why he was claiming Anthony as his son instead of his descendant, the answer was simple: he was simply too enamoured with Anthony’s talent.
Of course, he would never steal a child from their real parents, but since Anthony’s parents had decided to play at couple’s adventures together in another Upper Galaxy, he might as well seize the opportunity… hehehe.
It wasn’t as though there was any harm in it. He didn’t plan on having Anthony call him Father or Dad or anything of the sort.
Anthony simply remained oblivious. If he knew what the so-called Founder was planning, he would immediately object to it. Although what the Sword Ruler intended to do might have been innocent, Anthony had no intention of playing the role of another person’s son.
But there was still a chance for the Sword Ruler to come to his senses before they arrived at his so-called sect.
As for Anthony, his mind remained on what the man from the Asura race had used to block his regeneration ability. He was even curious about how the man had broken Infinity with his bare palm. It had to be said that such a thing had never been done before.
Anthony decided to stop thinking about it and simply ask.
“Can I ask what ability, or whatever it was, that was used to block my regeneration ability?” Anthony asked, unable to suppress his curiosity.
“I’ll get to that detail later. For now, I plan on mentioning a few things that applied to the Acarnis Galaxy but don’t apply to the Upper Galaxy, just like the Essence I mentioned earlier, although there aren’t many differences,” the Sword Ruler stated with a calm expression.
Anthony nodded and said nothing else.
