MIGHT AS WELL BE OP

Chapter 1274: Next Sect Master

Chapter 1274: Next Sect Master

Far away, the five Core Elders and the Sect Master sat together as they drank tea while watching the battle that had just ended. It came as no surprise to them, well... the ending at least, but they hadn’t expected Anthony to push all three hundred and five disciples to the brink of death.

"It seems your descendant has killed quite a few million people, Sword Ruler," The Slumbering Storm stated as she brought her cup to her lips.

Nathaniel didn’t react as he simply concluded that almost ninety percent of that number was probably Demons alone, which might have been the case for another cultivator, but certainly not Anthony.

The Punisher spoke next. "He is a natural-born predator and punisher. They sought him out to take advantage of him, so he simply showed them the price of what they demanded." He smiled as he loved people like Anthony, those who didn’t beat around the bush in battle.

The Decipherer Of The Heavens spoke with a sigh. "At first glance, he seems like a normal twenty-year-old kid. Who would have thought he possessed such overwhelming killing intent?" He shook his head before adding, "But at the end of the day, Null Anthony can’t be measured with common sense. After all, even the Deceiver Of Laws and I couldn’t find anything on him despite trying so hard." He sighed once more.

Although all of them spoke in such a manner, broad smiles were present on their faces. Anthony’s display had simply reinforced their belief that he was a tremendous addition to the sect. After all, mercy wasn’t something anyone was supposed to know in the cultivation world. And they knew that only the rules were holding Anthony back at the moment.

"The bounty on his head has grown to the point where the Vanishing Reapers even demanded a damaged Genesis Grade artifact," Chaos Betroth spoke with a calm expression. "Although the other clans weren’t willing to pay up, the Lord of the Asura Clan actually paid." Her eyes turned toward Nathaniel as she continued, "He blames the death of his cousin on you."

Null Nathaniel remained silent, his mind focused solely on Anthony and nothing else. The Lord of the Asura Clan stationed within a particular region? Why should he care about that man when there were countless Lords of the Asura Clan scattered throughout the Grand Region?

If the man wanted to come, then he would simply send him to meet his loving cousin. As far as the Sword Ruler was concerned, he couldn’t care less.

Although nobody said it out loud, they had all already reached the conclusion that Anthony had somehow killed the four people who had come to fetch him from the Ascendant Territory.

Of course, members of those Four Clans had come to demand answers and compensation. But without evidence, accusations remained nothing more than accusations.

Hence, Chaos Betroth had wiped out everyone who had accused them and everyone who had dared approach Null City.

How dare the weak demand compensation from the strong? Had the world truly gone mad?

"And with The Silent Hollow limiting people by cultivation, I suppose we have nothing to worry about regarding Anthony while he’s inside the Silent Hollow. We should be worried about the other Above Disciples instead," The Deceiver Of Laws finally spoke.

With that, the six continued discussing amongst themselves, with Nathaniel barely speaking throughout the conversation.

Back at the Coliseum, Jarod stood in absolute shock. This was the first time he had witnessed Anthony’s command ability with his own eyes. He couldn’t help but feel awe as he stared at the scene before him. He clenched his fists for a brief moment, his eyes burning with determination and unwavering loyalty as he vowed to one day reach such a level.

His head turned toward the direction of the Above Disciples. Their servants were seated just behind them, even though servants weren’t normally allowed to sit alongside disciples. He shook his head. Things like those would never become his goal. He only wished Anthony didn’t die prematurely in some mysterious realm or perish before fulfilling his path.

After all, just as there were countless living geniuses, there were just as many dead ones, if not even more. If nothing happened to Anthony, then he, Jarod, would undoubtedly achieve every goal he had ever set for himself. It wouldn’t matter even if he remained a servant for a billion years. After all, everyone had their own role to play in reality.

Standing beside Jarod, his fellow servants showered him with praise. Some were already jealous of him, some were envious, some claimed he had merely been lucky enough to be chosen, while others were genuinely happy for him. But Jarod ignored every single one of them. No, to be more precise, he couldn’t even hear them anymore because he had fallen into his own delusions of Anthony rising into an Apex being who ruled not only the Hellinder Realm, but the entire Ecliptica Galaxy itself.

"As per the rules of the challenge, Above Disciple Null Anthony is to receive the contribution points of all challengers," the Challenge Hall Elder announced as he floated toward Anthony. "Which amounts to a total of nine hundred thousand, seven hundred and twenty contribution points," he stated.

Various disciples couldn’t help but suck in huge breaths of cold air as that amount of contribution points was truly immense. Clearly, many of those disciples had spent months saving those points to exchange them for something extraordinarily valuable. But alas, they had just lost months, perhaps even years, of painstaking effort in a single battle.

As the Challenge Hall Elder moved to transfer the contribution points into Anthony’s identity token, Anthony stopped the man before calmly calling out.

"Jarod." His voice remained calm and indifferent.

"My Lord." Jarod appeared in a burst of speed, not delaying for even the slightest moment.

Seeing Anthony call him at that particular moment, he didn’t need Anthony to explain anything for him to understand. He immediately took out his own identity token and respectfully handed it to the Elder with a slight bow.

The Elder stared at Anthony for a brief moment, unable to believe that Anthony was giving away such an enormous amount of contribution points to nothing more than a servant. But after a short moment, he simply shook his head as understanding dawned upon him. Anthony’s ancestor was the Sect Master, and the entire sect itself bore their family name. Null Anthony was no different from the next in line to inherit the position of Sect Master.

Transferring the contribution points into Jarod’s identity token, the Elder gazed at the fainted disciples one final time. He shook his head with a faint smile before shooting into the air at astonishing speed.

The Elder wasn’t the only one who had been surprised, the entire sect was. A servant was now wealthier than the vast majority of them. Yet none of them dared touch that servant. Truly, the world had gone mad.

Anthony didn’t wait for anything else. A portal appeared before him, and without a shred of hesitation or even acknowledging the presence of those who had gathered to watch, Anthony stepped into the portal, with Jarod following closely behind him as the two returned to the cottage.
