Chapter 1275: Anthony’s Friends’ Situation-1
Anthony stepped out from a portal, appearing at the front area of his cottage. He stared at the cottage for a moment, sighed with a shake of his head, then stepped in as his mind wandered through the battle and how he had decimated the disciples.
Although he had wanted to see how strong the disciples truly were and wanted to give them a chance to show off one or two skills, things simply hadn’t gone as he had originally intended.
He had decided against it after seeing the literal crowd that had come out to watch the battle. His head turned behind him as he saw Jarod walking while lost in thought. With a single thought, Anthony read Jarod’s mind. He couldn’t help but hold back a laugh as he saw what was going through Jarod’s mind.
’This guy, he sure does know how to seize an opportunity when he sees one,’ Anthony mused to himself as he and Jarod separated, each entering their own room.
Getting to his room, Anthony simply sat on a couch within the room. An idea suddenly popped into his head and, without wasting a single moment, he acted on it. With a wave of his hand, Thought Conception activated, and a rectangular screen appeared before him.
On the screen was Aura Nova, who was trying her hardest to survive without being turned into a slave. Injuries covered her body as she was repeatedly forced to either sign a Slave Contract or die where she stood. Although Aura Nova’s Omniedit ability was overpowered, it was utterly useless in the face of Laws.
Her eyes burned with determination and an absolute refusal to surrender, and besides, she couldn’t use her Omniedit Commands to their fullest extent or unleash their true capabilities because she possessed far too little Magical Energy to do something that could genuinely help her escape this desperate predicament.
Of course, she possessed more Magical Energy than ninety-nine percent of the people at the lowest cultivation rank unique to the Upper Galaxy she had ascended to, but it was completely useless against the people she was facing.
Anthony could only watch. Although he could use Authority Of Severance to sever the distance between them and instantly appear there, he didn’t make a move.
Alas, Aura Nova didn’t possess a powerful backing or any talisman like Anthony had. It was simply impossible to defeat these people. And thus, like Null Nathaniel, Aura Nova had signed the Slave Contract, as even her Root Access Mode hadn’t been used since she wasn’t even given the opportunity to activate it.
Anthony only watched as Aura Nova’s eyes burned with pure chill and coldness as she seemed to sigh her very soul away. Anthony had never seen her like this.
Although he could have interfered, they had all chosen to walk their own paths during the Ascension, and this was merely her path. Still, Anthony wasn’t that bothered. He was certain that Aura Nova would find her footing and escape within a couple of months or even less. She was simply that outrageous.
Besides, if she managed to merge her Laws with her Omniedit Commands, which would certainly grant her resonance with almost all Minor and Greater Laws, she would wipe out these people within a couple of months without leaving them even the slightest chance to retaliate.
With that, Aura Nova and her new masters vanished as they teleported away directly. Although it was an entirely new Upper Galaxy, it seemed the tradition of turning newly ascended cultivators into slaves was a common practice.
Anthony could only wish Aura Nova good luck, and nothing else. Thought Conception activated again, and the rectangular screen twisted as it displayed Aaaninja.
Even with his cultivation rank lowered, his Eyes Of Genesis weren’t nerfed too much. He still possessed some utterly busted abilities as he raced to escape. Although he bent time to increase his speed, his enemies still caught up.
Due to the immense difference in power between him and them, he couldn’t slow down time meaningfully for them, so he instead accelerated time for himself while simultaneously manipulating his own perception to keep up with the overwhelming pace of the chase.
Anthony simply watched with rapt attention as he wanted to know whether Aaaninja, who was also backed by the River Of Time, would become a slave as well. After all, the River Of Time loved that fellow far too much.
With every injury he received, Aaaninja tried to rewind time to heal himself, but it was useless, as he had been injured through the power of Laws, and not just ordinary ability or power. He could only endure as he continued pushing himself forward. Seeing that he couldn’t survive without signing the Slave Contract, Aaaninja simply decided to hide. With that, he vanished from the entire Upper Galaxy as he appeared within the River Of Time itself.
Within the River Of Time, his injuries healed as he sat in silence. He couldn’t help but contemplate why his Concept of Time hadn’t worked against these people.
Concepts were higher than Laws, according to what the River Of Time had told him, yet his Concept had still failed.
Aaaninja couldn’t help but consider that maybe it was because his Concept of Time was merely a fragmented version, as he hadn’t truly comprehended it. But he could only sigh. He would eventually find out once he explored everything by himself. For now, he could only hide there and wait the entire ordeal out.
Even if they stayed there for an entire week, Aaaninja wouldn’t move from his spot. Although, under normal circumstances, he could step into the River Of Time from one location and emerge from another, he first had to have explored that destination beforehand unless the River Of Time itself was exclusively taking him there, just as it had done when they went to the Ramen Singularity Timeline.
And since he hadn’t been to this Upper Galaxy in the past, as it was his first time here, Aaaninja couldn’t just step out of the River Of Time and appear in another location.
Anthony smiled at Aaaninja’s strategy. He would have done the exact same thing if the Divine Realm had been ready during his own time, but it wasn’t, as the Mana within it was still being converted into Origin Essence.
With that, Anthony’s attention shifted to Lucian, and surprisingly, Lucian didn’t fight. He simply signed the Slave Contract with a smile on his face as though he genuinely welcomed becoming a slave, making those who presented the Slave Contract feel that something was fundamentally wrong with this guy upstairs.
But unknown to them, Lucian’s system protected his soul at all times, meaning he could move freely regardless of the Slave Contract. He could do whatever he wanted while using the Slave Contract as the perfect cover for his apparent innocence and complete obedience.
In this way, he had successfully gained a powerful backer while simultaneously preserving his freedom, allowing him to operate from the shadows without anyone suspecting that the so-called contract held no authority over him whatsoever.
Anthony simply watched his three friends as all three embarked upon vastly different journeys across different Upper Galaxies.
