Chapter 1276: Anthony’s Friends’ Situation-2
Chapter 1276: Anthony’s Friends’ Situation-2
The person who appeared next was Kingsley. The man, too, was fighting his own Slave Masters as they toyed with him. But through Martial Rhythm, Kingsley was able to keep up with the level of power that they displayed. What shocked Anthony to the core, however, was the fact that Kingsley’s body was adapting to the Laws that the Slave Masters had started using during the battle.
Unlike him, Aaaninja, and Aura Nova, who couldn’t heal from injuries caused by Law attacks, Kingsley literally healed. His Physique was still his biggest cheat even after ascending. Anthony seriously couldn’t understand this. He personally possessed the Beginning Of All Things Physique, yet his own body hadn’t done that.
Anthony couldn’t help but sigh. Truly, Kingsley’s Physique was simply too unique. Although, at the end of the day, no matter how unique he was or how outrageous Martial Rhythm was, he still lost the fight against the two Slave Masters.
But just as Kingsley was about to sign away his soul because he had no other choice, the Universe intervened as a colossal beam of light descended upon Kingsley, and the next moment, he vanished, leaving the two Slave Masters stunned and utterly bewildered.
The livestream Anthony was watching changed as it showed Kingsley’s new location. The young man was now sitting against a tree in a forest thousands of kilometres away from his two Slave Masters as his injuries regenerated at a visible pace.
After a few minutes, he rose to his feet, floated into the air, and simply took off. Since his body never needed Mana or any external ability to fly, as his Physique could naturally defy gravity, the man didn’t need to adjust to the world’s gravity or reach a certain cultivation rank before taking to the skies.
Anthony couldn’t help but shake his head. His friends still remained as outrageous as they had been back at the Acarnis Galaxy... although only Aura Nova had fallen into the hands of her Slave Masters, while the rest had either escaped or cheated their way through, just like Lucian.
Anthony couldn’t help but regret telling Acarnis to cancel the test that the Will was supposed to conduct. That would have been quite a good show.
The moment he had that thought, however, he immediately shook his head. His friends’ struggles weren’t mean for entertainment...
Anthony smiled as he activated Thought Conception once more, and this time, the scene changed to his girlfriend, Vega.
He smiled as he saw her. He had missed her so much, even though it had only been a few days. Anthony’s eyes shifted towards Klaus and Amara. They were concealing themselves through Laws, but Anthony was able to sense them through his own Law Embodiment.
And just like everyone before her, Vega too suffered tremendously. But unlike the others, who wore icy expressions or deep frowns, Vega wore a wide smile even as she coughed up blood. Even when she was pushed to the brink, she never stopped smiling as she welcomed every attack with unwavering resolve.
But alas, even she eventually gave in, as she signed her soul away through the Slave Contract with a smile.
Klaus burned with intense anger as he watched his daughter bleed. Killing intent filled his eyes as his heart ached. If his wife, Amara, wasn’t here, he would have torn this fucking trash Upper Galaxy apart without leaving anything behind.
Amara had already expected this outcome before Vega began her Ascension. After all, such things could be perceived through Cause and Effect.
As the four Slave Masters led Vega towards their territory, they couldn’t help but pause, their eyes snapping towards a distant direction. They had sensed a faint flicker of killing intent, but it had vanished just as quickly. They couldn’t help but wonder if they had imagined it. But if all four of them had felt it at the same time, then it was certainly no mere imagination.
The killing intent had come from Klaus.
Anthony felt a sting in his chest as he stared at the screen. With the Authority Of Severance, he could sever the Slave Contract, freeing Vega, but he knew that wasn’t what she wanted. He couldn’t help but remember her words. She wanted to explore. She wanted to fight. She wanted to feel danger. She wanted to brush against death. She wanted uncertainty.
’Tsk... is the Author of this story a misogynist or sexist or anything of the sort?’ Anthony thought to himself as he watched Vega being led away. ’So, Lucian escapes the Slave Contract because of the system guarding his soul. Aaaninja escapes the same Slave Contract by hiding in the River Of Time. Kingsley survives because of the Universe.’ He clicked his tongue in irritation.
’But Aura Nova falls to the Slave Contract because she doesn’t have enough Magical Energy to use her ability. And Vega falls to the Slave Contract because she begged everyone not to protect her or save her,’ he added. ’Yeah, he definitely hates women. After all, the men escaped, and the women didn’t,’ he concluded.
But alas, these were merely false accusations on Anthony’s part, as he was simply angry that Vega hadn’t escaped.
He sighed as he decided to watch his subordinates, and they too were making waves as they all tried to escape one way or another, but it was futile. And just like Lucian, the system guarded their souls.
Anthony shook his head. ’At least everyone got to their respective Upper Galaxy in one piece,’ he sighed in slight relief.
It had taken them three days to pass the Existential Test. Although three days seemed far too much compared to Anthony’s record time, it had to be remembered that, even at this very moment, there were still people from the olden times who had ascended and were still stuck within the Existential Test, unable to clear it despite the passage of countless years.
Since he had nothing else to do, Anthony swapped the channel back to Vega as he continued watching in silence, his heart continuing to ache with every passing moment. Even though he knew she had chosen this path of her own free will, it didn’t make witnessing her suffering any easier.
