Chapter 1289: Eternal Half

Chapter 1289: Eternal Half

Eternal Apex; a Pseudo-Higher Entity being.

Anthony sat stunned; he simply couldn’t believe what he was seeing. Not that he doubted their existence, but just that Eternal Apex beings stood at the absolute top, he could never have guessed that an Organization would deploy one to act as a security guard at the Wall. Although it was understandable given the sheer number of people here, after all, they were in the millions, and that was without exaggeration.

As Anthony stared at the woman who sat on the high wall, she suddenly turned her eyes towards him as though she sensed something, her eyes locking with Anthony’s for a moment.

’Did she sense me reading her Cultivation rank?’ Anthony thought to himself, after all, there wasn’t any guarantee that using Thought Conception meant that no one could sense what he did. Some people were simply too sensitive, especially people at the pinnacle.

Before Anthony could even blink, the Eternal Apex appeared within the carriage, and the twelve of them who had been sitting in it suddenly had one more person. The other Above disciples were startled at the sudden intrusion; they wanted to speak, but for some mysterious reason, none of them could even move, let alone speak.

Before the woman could do anything, Chaos Betroth was already standing beside Anthony, who remained seated with a stunned expression as though wondering what was happening.

Although it was a regular-sized carriage, clearly the interior had been expanded with the Law Of Space and designed for extreme comfort.

The Eternal Apex’s eyes turned towards Chaos Betroth, then she removed her gaze as though she couldn’t be bothered by such a weakling. With her eyes focusing on Anthony, she proceeded to speak.

"You, become my Eternal Half," she stated with a flat expression.

Hearing the Eternal Apex’s words, both Chaos Betroth and the Above disciples were stunned. They couldn’t believe what they had just heard. Although they didn’t know the cultivation rank of the woman standing before them, they weren’t stupid; they could guess she was either at the Progenitor rank or Eternal Apex.

Anthony arched an eyebrow as he didn’t know what Eternal Half really was. But he didn’t need to ask, as he simply activated Authority Of Information, and instantly he received his answer.

Eternal Half was simply marriage in layman’s terms, but within the Hellinder Realm, it became something much more. A ritual was performed, and two people bound themselves to each other; they performed dual cultivation, fed off each other’s progress like Law Comprehension and cultivation ascension, and when one died, the other died. And after the ritual, those bound by the Eternal Half ritual weren’t allowed to sleep with another person.

There were so many mysteries surrounding the ritual and the gains and side effects that almost nobody knew all of its details. But nobody ever did it, after all, nobody wanted to die simply because one person died. Only those who were truly in love with each other ever did it.

Anthony stared at the woman before him; she was beautiful, a literal bombshell beauty. Her entire demeanor was as calm as a lake, her eyes as deep as an ocean.

Anthony didn’t need to deceive himself by thinking it was his handsome face that attracted such a final boss character towards him. He knew there was definitely something more. This Eternal Apex had seen or sensed something, forcing her to abandon her post.

But what she had seen, only she knew.

"He is a disciple of the Null Sect, your River Of Night Organization can’t suddenly steal one of our geniuses in the name of Eternal Half," Chaos Betroth spoke, her tone flat and brisk.

This was one of her duties here, to stop whatever Clan, Organization, and the rest from poaching their own disciples by offering better benefits or whatever it was.

Chaos Betroth wasn’t exactly bothered that Anthony would follow this Eternal Apex, after all, his own Ancestor was the Sect Master of the Null Sect. If this woman had made such an offer to another person here, she would be bothered, after all, who would reject a hand extended by a literal Eternal Apex?

The Eternal Apex turned towards Chaos Betroth and spoke with an indifferent tone, "Sleep."

The moment she said that, Chaos Betroth’s body froze for a moment, then collapsed backwards as she fell on her back and slept off. The sight stunned everyone present, as they couldn’t believe that the strongest Core Elder of the Null Sect had been defeated by a single word.

Although Chaos Betroth loved fights and knew not the concept of fear, as she even dared to stand up to an Eternal Apex, alas, Eternal Apex weren’t beings anyone below them could challenge. They were called Pseudo-Higher Entity beings for a reason, after all.

Anthony sighed as he rose to his feet and spoke with a calm bow as he cupped his fist together.

"I’m grateful for the favor, Higher One, but I’m sorry, I already have someone who is my Eternal Half," he spoke, his tone calm and respectful, as he didn’t suddenly turn arrogant simply because of his cheats and abilities.

Hearing Anthony refer to the woman before them as a Higher One, the other Above disciples were left in pure shock as they finally understood that the one before them was an Eternal Apex. Their bodies, which couldn’t move, suddenly moved, but of their own accord, as they all immediately dropped to their knees in respect, but dared not utter a single word.

The Eternal Apex remained silent for a moment as she stared into Anthony’s eyes, blue meeting blue, as she simply ignored the other disciples.

"Who is it?" she asked, her tone calm, never breaking eye contact.

As Anthony was about to speak, Chaos Betroth’s body began to twitch and spasm as her Universal Law Of Chaos hummed around her unconscious body. The next second, her eyes snapped open. Without missing a beat, she shot to her feet.

She stared at the Eternal Apex with a stern expression. Although she had only been out for a couple of seconds, she knew that that was enough time to be killed by anyone. But Chaos Betroth didn’t blame herself, as she understood the chasm between the Progenitor and the Eternal Apex rank.

She knew that if it wasn’t because of her Universal Law Of Chaos, which was already at fifty percent, she might not have been able to resist.

Anthony’s eyes shifted from Chaos Betroth as he spoke, "I can’t tell you her name for private reasons."

The Eternal Apex remained silent for a moment, then stated, "I don’t mind if the three of us are bound by the Eternal Half ritual." Her tone and expression were still as calm as ever.

Anthony and everyone else were left stunned again. They couldn’t believe that an Eternal Apex was trying to enter a three-way relationship. It sounded no different from madness to them.

As for the Eternal Apex, she simply remained silent and waited for an answer, as though if she didn’t receive an answer, she wouldn’t leave, or even tell them not to enter the River Of Night Territory, after all, without entering it, one could forget about The Sleeping Hollow.
