Chapter 1315: Killing Intent
Chapter 1315: Killing Intent
Law of Lightning, Law of Speed, and Law of Sword hummed around Priscilla, her entire demeanor turning dangerous. She didn’t take a step, yet in less than a split second, she was already before Anthony as she transferred herself through the electrical charges in the air to the one closest to Anthony.
The difference between Manifestation and Embodiment showed with just one use.
Her rapier thrust towards his heart with impossible speed, her rapier covered in white Lightning and the Law of Sword. Anthony’s eyes shifted towards the incoming attack. He smirked, his body immediately breaking down into a bolt of Lightning as he dodged.
The moment Anthony moved through the air in his Lightning bolt form, Rashmore was already on the move. His Manifestation Stage Law of Wind hummed as, through the wind, he stopped Anthony’s movement midair.
The moment he did, Priscilla was already on the move, her speed peaking as she appeared in a blur of white. Her hand stretched backwards like a bowstring, then snapped forward with wickedness, a vortex of Lightning attacks enhanced by the Law of Sword screaming downward towards Anthony as he remained in his Lightning bolt form.
But, since when could a Manifestation Stage Law of Wind hold an Embodiment Stage Law of Lightning?
The answer was simple: never.
Anthony’s body immediately assembled into one whole the moment the attack was unleashed, and with a thought, the Law of Space hummed through the air, and he instantly swapped places with Rashmore.
Rashmore felt like screaming the moment he appeared as Priscilla’s attack tore into his body. But he didn’t. He immediately tapped into his Law of Wind and Law of Sword to mitigate the damage. But Priscilla’s attack was stronger than his defense, as she was naturally stronger than him.
With a boom, a colossal cloud of dust, smoke, and debris rose towards the sky. A colossal sinkhole had torn open, everything within a certain distance razed to the ground, the earth charred, and the snapped trees ablaze as they burned.
Anthony simply stood far away as he watched, as though what was happening had nothing to do with him.
Through the cloud of dust and smoke, Rashmore’s body could be seen, various injuries marring his body, his clothes torn as blood stained his body. He immediately took out a pill from his Space Ring and swallowed it.
Anthony didn’t move to stop him. It didn’t matter whether the man healed a thousand times or not.
Priscilla sighed as she saw that Rashmore was alive, her eyes shifting towards Anthony. But before she could move, Anthony took the initiative this time, his body flickering before them like a ghost.
Rashmore’s and Priscilla’s senses screamed, and without a shred of hesitation, they tapped into their Laws as they moved to escape whatever was coming. But it was too late as Anthony’s palms met their chests.
No Laws. No ability. No energy. Just a pure physical attack.
Their bodies shot backwards like cannonballs, their bodies ricocheting from one tree to another. Anthony felt as though their combat experience was lacking, as the proper response should have been for both of them to defend with their Laws. But oh well, he was here to teach them.
Priscilla came to a stop as her back slammed into a tree, she coughed up a liter of blood, her eyes bloodshot. Before she could even rise to her feet, Anthony was already there, his foot screaming towards her head.
Priscilla’s body immediately changed into bolts of Lightning as she dodged the physical attack. Anthony’s kick tore into the tree like a battering ram, shattering it into splinters.
Anthony’s eyes snapped towards Priscilla. With a smirk on his face, he tapped into the Law of Time. Priscilla felt her body freeze, then move on its own as she reversed the steps she had just taken, her body appearing in her former position and becoming whole again.
Her eyes widened in shock. She had felt it, she had felt the Law of Time. But it was too late as Anthony’s foot connected with her jaw, her head snapping sideways, her body tumbling to the side across the ground with pure speed and force.
Rashmore came from above, his wings and wind boosting his speed. Anthony’s eyes simply shifted towards the incoming attack, his hand rising as he caught the attack between his fingers, stopping it in place.
Rashmore froze. His saber was enhanced by the Law of Sword and Law of Wind, but unfortunately for him, Anthony had achieved Embodiment on both Laws. Hoping to injure him with anything lower was simply a wish made to a non-existent genie.
With a twist of his wrist, the saber shattered into metallic fragments. Rashmore immediately moved to blur backwards, but before he could even move, Anthony tapped into the Law of Space, specifically Attraction.
Rashmore felt his body shoot forward by some unknown force as his neck immediately landed in Anthony’s palm. Before he could even use any of his Laws, Anthony’s second hand landed on one of his wide wings. And without a shred of hesitation, Anthony tore the left wing from Rashmore’s back.
"AAARRREGGHHHH!!!"
Rashmore screamed as blue blood splattered into the air. But Anthony couldn’t care less about his screams. He tossed the wing to the side as his hand moved to sever the man’s head.
But before he could, Jerry’s voice came.
"Wait!!!" He shouted as he rushed towards Anthony.
He had taken some pills, so his strength, stamina, and everything had recovered, although he was already running low on them due to his fight with Rashmore.
"Don’t kill him. If you kill him, you will be marked. The Dreaming Nightmare will hunt you down and even wipe out the Null Sect in retaliation," Jerry stated as he came to a stop.
Anthony shook his head. To Anthony, leaving these two alive would simply create endless trouble.
"I have my ways around that." The moment those words left his lips, his hand blurred as he split Rashmore’s head from his body. His head soared into the air before hitting the ground with a thud.
Anthony threw the corpse to the side. His eyes shifted towards Priscilla, and surprisingly, the woman was already making a run for it. She seemed to have finally understood how futile their struggles were.
Anthony didn’t give chase. He was simply too lazy to do that. He simply used Authority of Severance to sever her head. The moment he did, her head separated from her body as she came to a stop, her corpse collapsing to the ground.
Anthony’s attention shifted towards the two marks that seemed like eyes that had suddenly appeared on his forearm. But the moment they appeared, a blue flame immediately burned the marks away.
Anthony stared at their corpses for a moment, then spoke, "That was quite fun, don’t you agree?" His gaze turning towards Jerry.
Jerry’s lips twitched as he didn’t know what to say. He had struggled against Rashmore, which was understandable; after all, these people came from an Ancient Organization. But watching Anthony toy with the two of them and kill them as though they were flies left him speechless.
He could only wonder how Anthony had gotten this strong in the first place, while also reminding himself not to get on his bad side.
But as Jerry was lost in thought, an immense pressure pressed down upon the entire region as killing intent flooded the area. Another enemy had arrived, and one way beyond the caliber of Rashmore and Priscilla had arrived.
