Chapter 1314: Law Of Lightning

Chapter 1314: Law Of Lightning

Rashmore’s expression changed into a small frown. This was the first time he was being looked down on, and he had to say, he didn’t like it. He took in a deep breath, then exhaled. Although he was a genius, he didn’t go around screaming and shouting arrogant words at everyone. Since the man before him was looking down on him, all he had to do was teach him a lesson.

A pair of wings spread out from his back, their span wide. He was from a bird-like race, so it was only normal that he had wings. The moment his wings spread, he shot forward like a beam of light, his speed becoming tens of times faster, his figure slicing through space as his Law of Wind and wings boosted his speed to an absurd degree.

But in Anthony’s eyes, Rashmore was still too slow.

Rashmore arrived with an overhead swing, his Law of Sword boosting the sharpness and technique behind his attack. Seeing the incoming attack, Anthony simply weaved to the side with his hands behind his back as though he had dodged the easiest attack in existence.

Rashmore’s posture shifted, his left wing surging outwards and upward as a blast of wind force tore towards Anthony. But it didn’t matter. Anthony vanished from his position, his body becoming a blur. The moment he dodged, the forest behind him immediately shattered as everything was reduced to bits under the power of the Law.

Through the Law of Wind, Rashmore sensed Anthony’s movement as he moved through the air. He didn’t give chase. Instead, the feathers on his wings shot outwards in waves, numbering in the thousands, each boosted by the Law of Wind. Anthony still didn’t draw his katana, his body turning into a phantom of speed as he dodged each one with flickering ease, his movements as smooth as water.

The feathers tore through the land and trees behind him with devastating force. But Rashmore wasn’t done as, the next moment, he created an air barrier around Anthony, sealing him in place. The moment he did, he raised his saber and brought it down, the Law of Sword humming outwards as a storm of sword force tore towards the air barrier Anthony was trapped within.

Anthony smirked at the incoming attack. He merely lifted his right leg and slammed it into the ground with all his strength. And with a booming force, the air barrier collapsed, and without missing a beat, he leaped into the air, skillfully dodging the Law of Sword attack with finesse.

The sword attack tore through everything on the battlefield with ravaging force. Sword marks carved deep into the earth, chasms were created, and earthquakes rumbled. But Rashmore didn’t stop; he simply pressed even harder, his body arriving as he performed a thrust towards Anthony’s throat.

Anthony, who had just landed, leaned backwards with perfect timing, his spine and back bending as they became parallel to the ground. As he dodged, another storm of carnage ensued. Rashmore simply adjusted, his thrust turning into a downward stab as he moved to stab through Anthony’s stomach.

But Anthony pushed off his feet, his body flowing and gliding backwards as he dodged, rising upwards in the same movement. Rashmore unleashed another storm of sword attacks, thousands of crescent-shaped black attacks empowered by the Law of Sword screaming down from the sky.

Anthony didn’t just dodge. He shot upward, his figure moving directly into the attacks, weaving through each crescent-shaped attack empowered by the Law of Sword, each one screaming past him by the narrowest margin. The moment Anthony was done dodging, wind constructs boomed outwards with ravaging force.

But again, it was useless as Anthony’s speed simply increased, his body becoming a flicker as he dodged each of them, his figure tearing down from the sky as he landed with a calm smile on his face.

The moment Anthony landed, his body froze as a formation expanded beneath him, locking him in place, his Laws, his Origin Essence, all sealed. Anthony’s sky-blue eyes shot towards Rashmore, who was speeding towards him as the talisman he had just ripped in half vanished in motes of light, the talisman obviously being the source of this formation.

Rashmore appeared before Anthony once more, his saber still boosted by the Law of Sword as it screamed downward in a diagonal slash, moving to split Anthony from the shoulder down. But alas, Formations were useless against Anthony, and as the attack was about to land, he calmly sidestepped, his body rotating to the side as though he was flowing.

Rashmore’s eyes flickered in pure shock as he couldn’t understand how Anthony had moved. The Formation possessed a sealing function that was supposed to also seal him in place.

The moment Anthony dodged, he finally attacked, his backfist booming out like a rocket towards Rashmore’s head. Rashmore immediately raised a wind barrier powered by the Law of Wind. With a boom, Anthony’s fist met the barrier, an explosive sound tearing outwards, but the barrier remained intact.

Rashmore didn’t speak. He simply willed it, and his wind barrier exploded backwards, slamming directly into Anthony’s body. But before the attack could truly connect, Anthony was gone again, easily dodging, his speed faster than the wind.

Anthony’s body appeared a couple of meters away as he landed on a branch of a tree, his eyes trailing the destruction. He understood why Jerry had lost. Rashmore was strong, too strong for Jerry. Although he was toying around with the man at the moment, Anthony understood that only Tory Hale and Chu Feng could defeat Rashmore.

After all, those two guys were hiding their actual combat strength. With their Laws, defeating Rashmore, who only had the Law of Wind and Law of Sword at the Manifestation Stage, would be easy.

As Anthony was lost in thought, he immediately sensed the Law of Lightning being used as, the next moment, from the sky, a colossal pillar of white Lightning screamed down upon him. Anthony vanished from the tree he was standing on as he dodged.

The moment he did, the attack slammed into the earth with apocalyptic fury, erasing everything within a kilometer radius. Anthony’s eyes immediately snapped towards Priscilla, who had finally interfered. With just that attack, Anthony immediately understood that she possessed the Embodiment Stage Law of Lightning.

Rashmore’s eyes snapped towards Priscilla as he spoke.

"I told you not to interfere," his tone lowering.

Priscilla shook her head as she drew her rapier. "You are no match for him, I’m sure you know this. He has been toying with you, barely attacking even once." She paused, her eyes shifting towards Anthony as she added, "He hasn’t even used any Laws since he arrived here, and how he also bypassed an Eight-Star Formation, we don’t know." She sighed. "He is too dangerous, and we can’t waste any more time."

Rashmore stayed silent for a moment, then nodded his head. He knew Priscilla’s words were correct. This was the first time he was meeting someone as fast as Anthony without even using any Laws.

Anthony, seeing Priscilla join the battle, simply smiled as he spoke, "Unfortunately, the time to keep dodging is over," his tone calm and playful. "As you said, we can’t waste time here," his tone still taunting.
