Chapter 1370: Chaos Betroth’s Battle Gains
Chapter 1370: Chaos Betroth’s Battle Gains
Lora Vake, who was missing two of her arms, clenched her fists multiple times as though testing her new hands. Not that she didn’t trust Anthony, but simply because she missed having them.
Even Chaos Betroth, who was completely spent, was now on her feet as her stamina was also restored. At this moment, her brain and mind were going through the comprehension she had acquired during her battles. Her Law Of Chaos had jumped from fifty-one percent to a whopping fifty-seven percent, going up six percent in one go.
For her, this was an unprecedented event and moment, as any Law rising by such a number had to come from some kind of boost, like the Death Crystals or Death Apples, but she needed none of that.
She had been comprehending the Universal Law Of Chaos for years, and she was only at fifty-one percent, but now... she had leaped forward.
’I’m getting closer and closer to one hundred percent.’
She thought to herself as a small smile appeared on her lips, her imagination shifting to the moment when she would finally become an Eternal Apex.
One of the conditions for becoming an Eternal Apex was to comprehend a Law to the Embodiment stage, and she was far from that time. But it didn’t matter to her; progress was progress at the end of the day.
Although Anthony had just slaughtered Eternal Apexes like they were nothing, it didn’t diminish the power and status these beings held across the entire Hellinder Realm and in her mind. She aimed to become one regardless.
Besides, when she got back to the Null Sect and entered seclusion, she would be able to push her comprehension by one to three percent, touching sixty percent. After all, the current increments in her Comprehension came from the ongoing battle; now she had to go back and return to her drawings and digest everything so she could gain more.
"Anyway, since we are done healing, we should get moving. Although Anthony is powerful, that doesn’t mean we should remain here and wait for more enemies to come find us."
Chaos Betroth finally spoke, her eyes shifting towards the Above disciples.
At her words, the others who had been discussing amongst each other paused for a moment, then nodded their heads in agreement as they had no objections. Not that they would dare voice it even if they had one. Sharing a battlefield with the Fifth Core Elder didn’t suddenly make them buddies.
Although deep down, they knew whether they left now or not made no difference, it had taken them about one week to get here, meaning it would take them about that same amount of time to head back. If any Eternal Apex was close, they could close the distance and catch up with them. And even if they returned to the sect, it wasn’t like any protection was awaiting them there, as any Eternal Apex could also storm and attack it.
Anthony, seeing they were all ready to depart, simply waved his hand, and the same airship they had been using before appeared midair. They all boarded it, and with a hum, the ship took off, zipping into the distance.
All of them couldn’t help but wonder how Anthony had this airship, as it was a product of the Null Sect, and the Null Sect only had about three of them. Although the Sect Master was his Ancestor, they knew there was no way he had handed Anthony the aircraft. So they immediately reached the conclusion that Anthony had someone create or manifest it through one of his abilities.
Anthony, who was sitting down on the airship, could literally feel the burning curiosity in their eyes.
He gave a small chuckle as he proceeded to speak in a calm tone.
"Although asking people about their abilities, secrets, and stuff is usually considered taboo, you all can ask, and I will answer to the best of my abilities. If it’s a secret, then I just won’t answer."
At Anthony’s words, their eyes literally lit up like children who had woken up to a gift that Santa Claus had hidden under the Christmas tree.
"Really?" Jerry asked rhetorically.
Tory Hale immediately dove into a question that had been in his mind for a while.
"How do your Shadow Soldiers summons work? Do you summon them from another Dimension? Do you have to perform a ritual or something of the nature, or does it come from Law Of Summoning? What of their ability to always constantly regenerate and come back to life no matter how many times you kill them, as if they are dead yet possess Will, thought, and emotion? How does that work?"
He fired off one question after another in a matter of one breath, not even giving another person the chance to ask before him.
Anthony shook his head at Tory Hale’s enthusiasm. He decided to answer, as he had no reason to lie or hide anything. He was going to answer honestly, as he had said earlier.
"The Shadow Soldiers work through Death. It’s basically a type of Necromancy where I summon the dead as Shadows to fight for me. Meaning that if I wanted, I would summon the Eternal Apexes I killed, turning them into Shadow Soldiers, and they would all possess the peak strength they possessed when they were alive."
He paused for a moment as he rested his head on his palm while he spoke.
"And no, it’s not connected to any Laws or whatnot. It’s just an ability I’ve had since I was about ten years old. And as for their ability to regenerate endlessly, that’s linked to my Origin Essence. As long as I have Origin Essence, they can regenerate infinitely until I run out of Origin Essence, which would never happen."
He stated flatly as he answered all the questions that Tory Hale had asked.
At Anthony’s words, everyone was rendered speechless at a particular statement.
The statement that if he wanted, he could have summoned the shadows of all the Eternal Apexes he had just killed.
They imagined it. If Anthony did such a thing, he was simply a one-man powerhouse... no, he was already a one-man powerhouse, but still. The thought about it was boggling and mind-numbing. Which went to show how overpowered the boy sitting before them truly was, no matter how normal he appeared to be.
