Chapter 1392: Grown on Him
Chapter 1392: Grown on Him
Anthony, hearing the Sect Master’s words and receiving the attention of the Core Elders, couldn’t help but sigh internally.
Personally, he didn’t have a date or anything of the sort. It wasn’t as though he had anyone waiting for him outside the Ecliptica Galaxy. Besides, he wasn’t in a rush. He would simply kick back and relax for a few months before leaving.
Although, knowing himself, he would probably get bored within those few months... so staying for that long was probably impossible.
The only reason he had even set a date for his ascension from the Acarnis Galaxy was that he had been ascending alongside his friends. Otherwise, he would have simply picked a random date to ascend and vanished on that day.
Anthony sighed as he began to speak.
"I won’t deny the fact that the Null Sect is in this position because I wiped out the various Eternal Apexes. On the other hand, the Null Sect might still be in danger even if I gave up all the rewards, but the fact remains that it all starts with me."
His tone was gentle and calm as he met the gazes of everyone present.
"As for the date of my departure... I have none. I’ll simply pick a random day and Transcend, but I can assure you that it will be at least a month from now. How long I’ll stay after that, I don’t know."
He addressed the issue of his departure calmly, at least giving them a month’s notice despite knowing that it could be a month or even a year before he actually left.
He turned toward one of the windows within the Sect Master Hall and walked toward it as he continued smoothly.
"And I know that you’ll all soon ask me about when I plan to see my girlfriend and how many days I intend to stay there. Which, again, I’ll tell you that I don’t know."
A smile couldn’t help but appear on his lips as he thought about meeting Vega. The past month had felt like an eternity without her by his side.
’Maybe dating a damsel in distress would have been better.’
Anthony mused to himself at the thought of her.
’Should I cripple her cultivation so she’d have no other reason but to always stay by my side?’
A dark thought flickered through his mind.
’Nah... Klaus and Amara would kill me before I could.’
He mused as he shook his head.
With that, he continued addressing the Founder and the Core Elders as though he hadn’t just thought about crippling his girlfriend’s cultivation. Although it was merely a joke, it was still quite concerning.
"Besides, I still have quite a few reasons to stay here, like the Unknown Regions, for example. I haven’t gone to the other nine regions, nor have I truly explored the Hellinder Realm and the Ecliptica Galaxy. There are so many things to do, yet so little time."
His eyes lifted toward the sky, his gaze lingering on the sun for a moment as though he were mesmerized by its beauty.
"And although you’re all prepared for death, unfortunately, I’m not ready to watch you all die. While I’ve spent little time with everyone, you’ve all grown on me, ranging from the Inner and Core Disciples who challenged me, to my personal servant, Jarod, who’s waiting for me at the moment, to the Above Disciples who suffered in the previous battles... and, certainly, you guys."
He turned around with a smile, his blue eyes meeting the gazes and expressions of the Core Elders. He shook his head for a moment before walking away from the window.
"So, even if I eventually Transcend, I will still want to see you guys rise to rule not just the Hellinder Realm but possibly the Ecliptica Galaxy, if possible."
He continued, his words almost boastful, but he could make it possible with a mere thought if he so desired.
As Anthony spoke, the Core Elders and the Sect Master didn’t know what to say. They could hear the love and sincerity in his voice and every word he uttered, and they could tell that, truly... everyone had grown on Anthony.
Anthony arrived at another window and leaned forward against its stool with his arms as he continued, his gaze stretching across kilometers as he focused on the Outer Disciples discussing the Above Disciples.
"As for the matter of your inevitable end, it doesn’t have to happen that way. I can choose to erase the memories of everyone who knows about the treasures from the Lover of Death’s Sleeping Hollow. Alternatively, I can make it so that anyone who thinks about harming someone related to the Null Sect for the sake of those treasures, then proceeds to plan it, would die, and everyone connected to them would die as well, be they friends or relatives."
His tone was cool, as though he weren’t talking about erasing people’s memories and manipulating the fates of countless individuals on a scale spanning planets and realms. After all, the realms and planets that had witnessed Anthony and the Eternal Apexes fighting had already investigated the matter out of curiosity and obtained their answers.
"And not only that, I can simply increase the potential of every disciple to the extreme, making the Null Sect a haven for producing ridiculous talents."
He added as he rose from the window stool, turned toward the Sect Master and the Elders, then leaned backward against the stool again, this time with his back and elbows.
"So, if you’re worried about dying, there’s no need to be. Before I leave, I’ll make sure no one dies as a result of the Lover of Death’s treasures."
He stated in finality.
Silence descended throughout the Sect Master Hall, as neither the Sword Ruler nor the five Core Elders knew what to say. Anthony had presented several solutions to their problem as though it were nothing.
A smile couldn’t help but appear on their faces for a moment. They were simply grateful, overjoyed that someone as powerful and compassionate as Anthony had fallen into their laps.
Their Karma must have been outrageously good, right? They must all have been some sort of monks in their past lives, right?
If not, what good could they possibly have done to deserve having this ridiculous Human known as Null Anthony within their sect?
