Chapter 1393: Create Life
Chapter 1393: Create Life
Nathaniel rose to his feet and walked down the small staircase before his seat. Coming to the same level as the Core Elders, he bowed slightly and genuinely as he spoke.
"Honestly, I don’t know if words are enough to express the prestige and everything you’ve done for the Null Sect, but unfortunately, they are the only thing I have. So, thank you, Null Anthony."
His words were filled with gratitude and appreciation. As he had said, he didn’t know what else to say aside from thank you. If there was anything else to do, he would have done it, but he had nothing else he could do except bow.
Seeing the Sect Master bow, the Core Elders followed suit. They didn’t hesitate in their movements.
"Thank you, Null Anthony."
Their words echoed through the Sect Master Hall. If the Above Disciples had been present, they wouldn’t have bowed, as they would have loved to preserve their dignity and maintain their standing in front of others, but right now, they were only in front of Anthony.
Yes, they were thousands of years older than Anthony, but cultivation was never about the age gap; it was about power gap, and the gap between them and Anthony was simply heavenly.
Anthony stood frozen for a moment, not knowing how to react or even what to say. After a moment, he simply smiled and leaned away from the window stool. He shook his head as he spoke.
"It’s fine, there is no need. Besides, I’m a Core Elder now, so I have to pull my own weight, even if I don’t attend any meetings and such."
His tone was genuine and calm, his sky-blue eyes meeting the Elders before him.
"But just because I’m now a Core Elder doesn’t mean I don’t need those Contribution Points. I plan to use them, and I hope you don’t judge me based on how I use them."
He continued calmly as he lowered himself to the ground, his back against the wall. His left leg extended forward while he propped his right leg up against his chest and rested his right hand on his knee.
The Core Elders and Sect Master didn’t know what Anthony wanted to do with the Contribution Points, but they never planned on cheating him out of them. Whatever he did with them had nothing to do with them.
Null Nathaniel turned and climbed the small staircase once more, returning to his seat. Sitting down, he continued speaking in a calm tone.
"You talked about erasing the memories of everyone who knew or knows about the treasures of The Lover Of Death."
He began to speak, his demeanour different now, as he no longer spoke with the authority of a Sect Master but with the composure of someone addressing an individual of equal standing.
"Forgive this greedy old man, but the Core Elders and I would prefer it if you didn’t do that."
He requested calmly, his tone containing a hint of entreaty as his blue eyes remained fixed on Anthony.
Anthony, who was seated on the ground, arched an eyebrow in confusion for a moment as he tilted his head to the side.
Seeing Anthony’s confusion, the Deceiver of Laws decided to explain.
"The Sect has gained an immeasurable amount of prestige because of what happened over the past week, and we will gain a lot more from what follows next. You wiping the memories of everyone defeats that purpose."
He said as he stood with his hands clasped behind his back, his presence remaining as imperceptible as it had been the first time Anthony met him, as if anyone who wasn’t actively looking at him wouldn’t even know he was there.
"I see..."
Anthony spoke as he fell into thought, having failed to consider that possibility. Just because he possessed Divine Intelligence didn’t mean he went around thinking several steps ahead all the time.
"I suppose that makes sense. I guess I’ll have to do something that will keep everyone fearful of the Null Sect without losing the prestige we’ve gained in the process..."
He continued as he began thinking of ways to work around this, but the moment he started considering the problem, he arrived at a solution because of his damned intelligence.
"I have a solution, then."
Anthony spoke as he remained on the floor, his attention shifting towards the Sect Master and Core Elders.
The six immediately listened with rapt attention, as this was the way they could survive once Anthony left.
"I will simply create life."
Anthony stated plainly, without a change in expression.
"Create life?"
The Slumbering Storm asked in confusion, as she didn’t know what Anthony was getting at.
At her words, Anthony simply nodded before proceeding to explain.
"It’s as simple as I’ve said. I will create life from scratch and infuse the life I create with the Will to protect the Null Sect. The life I create obviously won’t be as powerful as me, as that is simply impossible, but regardless, it will still easily handle any and all Eternal Apexes with the same ease with which I handled them."
He paused for a moment before adding.
"Although I would have loved for the life I create to wear my face in order to instil fear in everyone, I can’t do that, as I’m not creating a clone but a genuine, actual person. This person will be the Seventh Core Elder after I leave, and they will be in charge of holding the line in case anything happens."
He stated this with finality but seemed to remember something the next moment, prompting him to continue.
"But don’t expect the life I create to make a move if you guys go around trying to bully everyone and every powerhouse out there. The life I create isn’t a puppet but someone with their own genuine Will, just like you guys. They will care for and defend the Sect, but don’t try ordering them around."
He sighed as he shook his head with his eyes closed, trying to warn them in advance so they wouldn’t make any stupid mistakes.
