Chapter 3207 Cell

Chapter 3207 Cell

My eyes fluttered open, and same time; the reality came crashing down on me. Immediately, my sleepy eyes became wide awake.

I found myself lying on the stone bed with no mattress on a stone table beside it. On it there are a few books; I immediately recognize them; they were my books.

That I had placed it in my storage ring, which I do not have anymore.

"You woke up; I thought, this window hour will go waste, without anyone talking to," I heard the voice and saw a man. A man with smooth marble stone skin and red pentagonal crystal in the middle.

He is looking at me through the window that separates his cell and mine.

"What is this place?" I asked. To which a mirthless smile appeared on his face. "A jail. Can't you see," he replied.

"How do you end up here?" I asked. "Don't know. One moment, I was sleeping comfortably in my bed, the next moment, I appeared here." He replied, and his eyes turned a little serious.

"How do you end up here?" he asked. "Someone kidnapped me," I replied, before looking around.

There is nothing around me except for this window. I felt like I was in deep underground and couldn't help but feel a little claustrophobic.

"Yeah. It had happened to a few people, but most got kidnapped in their sleep like me," he said after a moment of silence. "A red skin, horned man, kidnapped you, right?" he asked, and I nodded after a moment of hesitation.

"Are there people other than us?" I asked, to which he smiled. "Yes. Thousands of them. Daily, more and more people will come," he replied.

"How do you know that?" I asked. From what I could see, his cell is similar to mine. The same stone room, with only a window that shows the other side.

"Oh, my abilities let me look through this protection," he replied, without hiding. Which made my expression turned a little strange.

"How long have you been here?" I asked. He did not answer that question immediately, instead looked away for a couple of seconds before turning to me.

"Three and half months," he replied, and I couldn't help but be surprised.

No wonder he is so talkative; such a long time in isolation will make even a silent person speak a few words.

"Do you know why they kidnapped us?" I asked another question, to which he shook his head. "No idea. Others also do not seem to have any idea either," he replied, and I couldn't help but get disappointed.

I talked to him, asking any question I have in my mind and the more I listen, the darker my mood will turn.

I have somehow ended up in deep shit, without fault of my own. I should have listened to Ven and not come to Haln, but as always, I did not listen.

I wanted the danger; that's where the opportunities are, but now, it seemed like I put myself in a bigger danger than I could get out. Which made me want to curse loudly.

"It's nice talking to you, Landen; we will talk tomorrow again," he said, and I opened my mouth to ask what he meant, when I saw the widow closing in with the stone.

Within a second, the window had closed, and I was alone in my cell.

It might seem like a long time, but less than two hours have passed since I was kidnapped and placed here. I was unconscious, not my clones; they have kept track of everything, aside from my captive.

It was too powerful, and my clones did not take any action. It was a wise choice.

The one who had kidnapped me was likely an Earth Sovereign.

Still, I did not see the purpose of Earth Sovereign kidnapping me, unless it is not me alone. Reunad said, there are hundreds of people captive here and I want to see whether or not he is telling the truth.

I did not wait any longer and sat down cross-legged before sending out my soul sense.

It immediately repelled off the walls, but it is kind of expected. I had used the normal soul sense.

I tried it once again and this time; it had moved through the wall without alerting any formation. The soul sense spread in every direction; I could see Reunad on my left cell and a woman beastman on my right.

As my soul sense spread, I saw more and more cells with people in them.

ƥαṇdα-ηθνε|·ƈθm They turned to hundreds and soon thousands of cells. Stacked on each other and nearly every one of them had a person inside.

Reunad was not lying. There are people here and some of them going crazy.

I was looking at them when I stopped suddenly, and my eyes widened in realization.

"Fucking hell," I cursed as I double-checked. These people, 70% of them, were the ones who had been murdered by the killers. I have seen their images on the projections.

The city had said they were killed by a serial killer, but they were kidnapped, and the city had some hands in it.

To kidnap so many people and cover up as killings is not easy. Especially to do that on such a large scale.

It took me a while to get my head about it before I calmed myself and spread my soul sense to investigate further.

Hun!

Suddenly, my soul sense stopped against the wall; protections here are stronger.

I immediately mixed more forbidden power in my soul sense and immediately my soul pass through the block, showing me inside of these special cells.

"Sovereigns," I muttered.

Those special cells in the center are holding the Sovereigns. There are one hundred and thirty-two of them. Like most Primary III's, many of these Sovereigns are among the murdered.

Unlike us, Primary-III; these Sovereigns are not only captive in stronger cells. They also have collars that seal their powers.

Hun!

I was moving my soul sense through the cells when I caught the hint of something familiar. I moved my soul sense toward it to investigate and nearly a minute later, there was a surprise on my face.

There is someone familiar here in the cell; someone I have known in Klahan and then the ruins.

Kara.

She had escaped the forces of those families, and I am not surprised. Given how she is hiding.

She had changed her face and also the signs of her race. Most importantly, her aura had also changed completely.

If I had not been using the forbidden power and formation inside, my core hadn't ticked the moment I came in contact with her aura. I wouldn't have recognized her.

These measures are good enough to fool most sovereigns. The thing I found most interesting is the race she is impersonating.

She is impersonating a human and is doing a quite good job.

I did not contact her; I just looked at her as she was reading the book, before spreading my soul sense further, and soon it reached the edge of the prison.

As it did, most of the thoughts I have about escaping had vanished.

There are over fifty-Sovereigns guarding the whole prison. Not only that, but there are also powerful protective measures; that most Sovereigns would be hard-pressed to break.

Much less me, a Primary-II.
