Chapter 3209 Out
Chapter 3209 Out
"The sacrifice worked. We are ready to send the lambs inside," said the red-horned man, looking at over a hundred thousand dead bodies around the blood-red tower.
"It took us a long, but we have gathered the number of lambs required to gain the blessing," said the winged woman, as looked down at dead bodies.
There is not a hint of guilt on her face, but a joy and expectation.
"How long it will take them to bring the lambs here?" asked the old man. "By tomorrow evening; all the groups will bring the lambs they have collected," replied the horned man.
"Tell them to be careful. If we were found out; they will hunt us to the end of the world," he cautioned, but others smiled.
"Don't worry, our preparation is perfect. No one will know anything; you should instead double-check your preparation for the breakthrough you need to do after this is all over," said the winged woman.
The worry from the old man's face disappeared, and a hopeful smile appeared.
…
"Talk to you tomorrow, Landan," said Reunad, and a second later, the window had filled itself, closing the cell once again.
If I wish, I could keep the window open or even make a whole wall disappear, but I did not, instead. I once again spread the strings of my soul sense far and wide and sighed a few seconds later.
The Earth Sovereign is still present. They did not leave even for a second; it is making me pull and hair and scream in frustration.
Instead, I took a few long breaths to calm myself; it is the only thing I could do.
Three months and four days passed since I had been kidnapped, and since then there was no change, aside from more and more people appearing here.
The numbers have reached over six thousand. It is a huge number when you count over three-hundred and fifty Sovereigns.
In these three months, I was able to find out a few things through my snooping. They are collecting people of special alignment; they need a specific number and till they reached it; they will keep us captive here.
I also found out how they have captured me and most others here.
It is that freaking stone they have placed at the gate of the city. It selects the people they needed for its purpose; those selected would kidnap as I did.
I also found out that they are keeping the whole thing quiet. They do not want others to know about it, especially not the public. Which made me believe the people who captured us might be up to something nasty.
I am not going to wait; in three days, I am going to open the gates of all the cells.
With Earth Sovereign present, it will be near impossible to escape, but I want to give the choice a chance.
I have waited for three months for the opportunity; it did not come. So, I am moving to create my own.
These past three months were quite lonely for me, despite thousands of people around me. Though the days might be lonely, they were very productive and would have been more. If not for lack of resources.
I had a lot of resources, but I had spent them on my treatments. Now, I do not have resources, for even a single treatment.
There are still resources in my core, but they are not suitable for treatments. I have used everything, including some on the trees. Some of which hadn't even fully matured.
At least I could still practice the strengthening method, and I have been lucky enough to make a breakthrough in its energy concoction; now, I could practice the strengthening method twice a day.
It had some side effects. I had to dip myself in a solution of expensive resources daily and drink a few potions along with taking a day off.
Still, it is worth it, with the benefits I am getting.
I had become quite stronger than I had been three months ago, but here that power is useless. It would be useless, even if I had been able to make a breakthrough into Primary III.
Unless it is something that could deal with Earth Sovereign or teleport me out of here, everything else is useless.
I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. A moment later; I was in my core and walked into the library and begin to work on my inheritance with three of my clones.
I have done a lot of work on my inheritance, more than imagined. I am very happy with the direction I am going and if I keep moving at such speed, then it won't take me long to finish up my inheritance.
Though, it is a question of whether I will be alive long enough for that.
"Attention Everyone Cells Will Be Open In One Minute. You Are Requested To Come Out Of Your Cells Without Causing Any Disturbance,"
I was thinking that when suddenly a loud voice rang out through my cell. I immediately opened my eyes and spread my strings and knew, I am not the only heard that.
Everyone did, and they have different reactions.
Some are jumping for joy, while others are cursing loudly. A few, like me, are somber. They might not know what is happening but understand. That opening of cells means the beginning of the real danger.
A minute passed and walled my cells disappeared, giving me a clear way out.
I saw a person in front of my cell come out and so is beastwomen; I also slowly walked out.
Hun!
As I crossed the boundary, I felt the vast soul sense on me. It is faint, but visible, reminding everyone who is boss here.
It is likely why those cursing a few seconds ago fell quiet and stayed in their spots.
Soon, everyone came out, including Sovereigns.
For a couple of seconds, there was nothing before a group of seven sovereigns flew inside. All of them peak sovereigns with a powerful aura; they are also wearing robes and masks that make it hard to determine their race and features.
I know their races and their names. They do not wear this getup when they are control room.
BANG!
"Why did you kidnapped us?" asked a stone skin woman. The next moment, she crashed against her cell hard, with broken bones and blood coming out of every orifice of her body.
"No questions," said the robed Sovereign who attacked her, before he appeared at his place, with a speed faster than teleportation.
"You will have your questions answered when you reach the destination. Till them do what we are telling you to," said the leader and moved his gaze around the whole space.
"Now follow," he commanded and flew toward the exit with the rest.
We followed in a neat line and soon appeared on a huge ground, with a single blue airship standing. It is a blue airship with a simple design and looked quite cheap, cheaper than the one I had traveled to Klahan.
"Enter," he said as the door of the airship opened, and we begin to enter inside it one by one.
