Chapter 3417 Chance
Chapter 3417 Chance
Buzz!
The formation activated, and immediately the surrounding scenery disappeared.
We found ourselves in a blank space.
There is nothing, no color, not even our figures. The only thing it had was our presence, but they pale compared to one huge presence that drowned us all.
There is another faint presence hidden in the big presence. If they tried to sense it, they would feel an infinite vastness from it, such that it will their soul to its most primal part.
That is a soul from an insect in an egg.
If the woman wants to take it, it will be an immense challenge to her, but she will have to do it if she wants to survive.
"Little flower," said the first lady softly, and immediately, the whole presence rumbled awake, surprising me.
I thought she will need to be called a couple of times and even increase the power of the formation before they could contact her, but it happened on the first try.
"Mom!" said another voice loudly; it was so full of emotion that I wanted to get out of there and give them their privacy, but I couldn't.
I have to be here to explain the method. While I have given them the method, they wouldn't be able to explain it as I would be able to do it.
Not to mention, I need to be here to maintain the link and transfer an actual method.
"Clara," called Governor, with tears dripping from his eyes.
"Papa," said the other voice.
"Little flower, we missed you so much," said the first lady. "I missed you too, mom," she said, before I felt her focus shifted on me, but it is only for a moment.
She shifted it back to her parents and Blain.
"I am sorry, I couldn't save you, daughter," said Governor, after a moment of silence.
"It is not your fault, papa. The parasite infected me is too powerful, I tried to fight it, but I couldn't do anything to it," she replied, with a hint of defeat.
I wanted to shake my head, hearing that.
Fighting it directly is useless, there is an extremely powerful defense around its soul.
It will suck any offense directed at it. Even if the governor had been at his daughter's place, he wouldn't have been able to do anything.
It is a cosmic monster, not a common thing.
It will be a Prime when it came out of the egg; it will be larva. If was ever able to turn to butterfly, it will be a Silver Prime or even Golden Prime.
They talked, but I didn't focus on it. Instead, I concentrated on the soul of the cosmic monster. Others might not be able to get much, but I am getting massive data with each probe.
I more, I probe, the more shocked I am before and I wish I could do it with full power, but I couldn't.
If I used more power than I am using it currently. It will consider it as an attack and repel me and others out of here.
That would be terrible. As it will be alert, making the connection again would be impossible.
They talked for more than two hours before I felt the woman focusing on me again.
"Thank you, Healer Brock, for giving me the opportunity to talk to my loved one once again," she said, and I could feel how grateful she is for that.
"It is the least I could do," I replied.
"My mother said a cosmic monster had laid an egg inside me, and I will have to tame an insect inside it, to survive?" she asked.
"Yes," I replied.
"Sorry to disappoint you, Healer Brock. It is impossible. I had tried different methods, including taming it, but I couldn't able to make, even ripple across its soul," she informed.
I smiled at hearing that.
"Lady Clara, the methods you may have tried may work for a normal monster, but it is a cosmic monster we are talking about,"
"Though you are a sort of right about one thing. It is near impossible to tame it, but it is the only way to do it." I said, and I could feel her emitting an emotion akin to a sigh.
"I will try it; I refused to die without trying, every last option," she said after a few seconds of silence.
Buzz!
"Brace yourself, I will transfer the method directly to you," I said to her and activated the formation.
Immediately, a packet containing the method went from me to her. The method is necessary. It will work only with the formation; I will lay down on her.
"Did you get it?" I asked after a few seconds.
"Yes," she replied.
"I will lay down the formation and activate it; you can use the method to tame it step by step," I informed.
"Ok," she said.
"Can I have some time to talk to my loved ones? Since this will be the last chance, I will have to talk to them before I succeed, which is very unlikely," she said.
"Sure," I replied.
They talked for over four hours before they finished, and we got out of her soul.
"Thank you, Healer Brock, for allowing us to talk to our daughter again," said the governor.
"It is the least I could do," I replied.
"Can I start with formation?" I asked him, to which he nodded.
I took out the air pen and a moment later; it started to spew out the tiny runes. Thousands of them come out every moment, and each one of them is powerful.
The ink is sky sovereign grade of soul type. I have got in the storage of one Grimm; I had killed in the run.
It is very expensive, and I hope the governor will reimburse me for it and for other resources that I will use.
This is the formation I got from the library.
There are two other formations in the book. One is a mix of common runes and ancient runes, while the other one is of wholly ancient runes.
I couldn't use both; ancient runes needed to be understood before crafting them.
I might be able to understand the mixed formation, but it will be months and even years, while I am here for only eight days and won't be returning to this place.
It is the best option I have.
Forty-six minutes later, I finished with formation, which now covered nearly the whole hall.
I looked at it, before waving my hand, and immediately a huge number of resources came out. All of them are precious soul element processed essences.
As I had said, the treatment is not expensive and it will cost more, the longer it runs.
"I am going to activate the formation," I informed them. To which they nodded.
Buzz!
The formation activated.
Now there is waiting, and it could stretch for a very long.
"What are the chances of success, Healer Brock?" asked the Governor. "Less than 1%," I replied, and he nodded.
I already hinted to them about the chances. Which is extremely low, but it is the only chance their daughter has.
