Chapter 3549 Breakthrough

Chapter 3549 Breakthrough

"Fuck!"

I cursed, seeing one of Grimm turning toward me and a moment later, the other two with the grin on their faces.

I was really unlucky, I had been near a formation, that was releasing the energy, which was to reduce the power of the stealth. They were also less than a mile away from me.

They looked at me, and I looked at them. We looked at each other for a couple of seconds.

Four and a half seconds later, they moved toward me, and I also moved, but instead of moving forward, I retreated.

There are now two options in front of me.

Either retreat all the way and I could do that. Unlike them, I had already crossed the way and quickly moved through it, despite being weaker and slower than them.

Though the option comes with obvious risks; I may be able to leave it behind. If they followed me all the way back, the I would be in deep trouble, despite the lead I have.

There is a second option, I have, which is to hide in a pod. There are three of them behind me; all normal.

I could only hide in them for a day before it would have thrown me out of it.

There, I will need to make a breakthrough, but that also has a huge risk. The pods are made in such a way, that I couldn't use the spatial abode and while mine is special, I don't know whether I would be able to use it.

Even with the abode, making the breakthrough here is dangerous, without it is even more dangerous.

I don't know what to do, but I am worried.

The Grimms are moving faster than I had thought they would. I had planned to get out of their range and then hide somewhere where my stealth was impeded, but that didn't seem like wouldn't be possible with the speed they were moving.

Soon, the second pod passed, and I kept retreating, keeping the eyes on the Grimms, who were keeping me in their range.

I am really angry right now. If I had been a few hundred meters behind, in a place that doesn't impede my stealth, I wouldn't have been gotten discovered by the Grimms and now running away for my life.

These three are also quite powerful and I am not a match of even a single Grimm.

I hoped I would find someone who would rescue me, but the chances of that seemed slim. I will have to rescue myself.

Time passed, and I approached the last pod, and I was still thinking about whether I should get inside on it or not, but it seemed like, the conditions weren't willing to give me a chance.

The distance between me and the Grimms is shrinking slowly, instead of expanding.

They might not be able to catch me. We are in this area, but they will keep me in the range and once we got out, it wouldn't be very difficult for them to catch me with a difference in our strength.

I reached the pod and, seeing no choice, I had entered inside it.

Buzz!

The moment I did, the pod buzzed, sealing shut. Now, I will be safe here for a day and even Sky Sovereigns wouldn't be able to break through it.

A Sky Sovereign might, but they would need to be at Peak with uncommon strength. There are not many Sky Sovereigns like that, but one or two might be here in this realm.

Immediately, I took out the pearl and activated it.

Hun!

To my surprise, I found out I could enter inside, but with pod restrictions, I wouldn't be able to stay inside for more than two hours.

Which is not enough.

So, I sat down and brought out the formation and activated it. Immediately, it begins to expel the curse energy and, within seconds, there is barely any curse energy inside.

There was still some, but not enough to harm when I deactivated my armor, which I did, and brought out a meal box.

I was a few bites in when the Grimms appeared in front of the pod.

"So, you have decided to hide, instead of facing us like a man?" asked the Golden Flame Lionman; it is powerful, a High-Earth Sovereign with bloodline.

It is stronger than even Rhinoman, I had fought a few hours ago.

"You guys are powerful, leaving me no choice, but to hide in here," I replied with a shrug, while it grins at me with anger in its eyes.

"You can hide only for a day, native, but when you come out. We will be here, waiting for you," It said.

"That seemed awfully counterproductive; I am sure, in such time, you will be able to find more prey," I said, and this time, it's time to shrug.

"We might, but we want to kill you." It said and turned to Deerman beside it. "Hrun here had a method and his method telling him, you will be extremely delicious,"

"It will be the most delicious thing we have ever eaten, more than even Sky Sovereign flesh," it added, and I wanted to curse that bastard Deerman and the method it is practicing.

It is not the first time, a method like that has given me trouble before.

"Wait if you want, but don't regret, when a powerful native comes through the route and finishes you all off," I said and Grimms just grinned.

I looked at them for a second more, before turning to my meal.

I had finished them in a few minutes, before laying on the ground and closing my eyes. I fell asleep within a minute, despite Grimms waiting for me a few meters away.

I slept for four minutes before waking up and sitting down.

The Grimms glanced at me, before turning to their thing, which was eating the roasted natives.

I looked away and activated another formation on the surrounding ring; a mist screen appeared. It is only for them, I could still see what they are doing, and such affects me, but I have seen Grimms too many people to shake my mind.

Still, if I succeeded, these three bastards wouldn't be able to get away alive.

I put the crystal down to record everything they were doing.

A moment after that, all the clothes on my body had disappeared, and a ring appeared on my finger.

It will be a dangerous breakthrough and I hope, the formation and ring on my finger will be enough to isolate every bit of curse energy coming at me.

Buzz!

A second later, I activated the ring, and runes began to come out of it. At the same time, I entered inside my core, and in front of me was an inheritance.

I was only able to check it one time only, and there were no mistakes.

Still, I would have liked it, if it had been triple-checked.

It would have wiped away every doubt I had in mind, but that wouldn't be possible with the time I had.

I couldn't even check it one more time; seeing I need time to make a breakthrough as well.

I looked at it for a few seconds, before tapping it and a moment later, I was expelled out of my core.
