Chapter 4073:  Dangerous Escape

I controlled my strings, and they began to turn into formation.

I looked at it for a second to know it was good before I moved it toward the complex net surrounding the spatial crystal in the heart.

I moved them carefully; the net surrounding them was extremely sensitive.

I have suppressed a lot of that sensitivity, but still, I can't take a risk. The slightest mistake and that thing will explode, taking me with it.

I am careful, but fast.

The clock is ticking. I couldn't spend too much time, or I am going to pay for it with my life.

The runes moved, covering one part of the next after another. There are hundreds of parts in that delicate net, and I have to cover each one of them.

I wish I had more time; I wouldn't have felt so much scared as I am right now.

Unfortunately, I did not have time. I have less than a minute to not only remove that spatial crystal but also deal with the plant.

Even then, I would need to move quite fast to get out of here before everything turned to hell.

Seconds passed, and the formation spread across the net.

Buzz!

It took thirty-six seconds for the formation to spread across the next.

As it did, I wasted no time in activating the formation.

I watched the formation without doing anything. It will be up to it, whether it worked as I had intended. If it did, I will act and remove that crystal.

Hun!

The tree seemed to understand what I was planning to do as very sharp thorns formed on its trunk and shot toward me at a swift speed.

I was right; the tree had been holding back.

Bang Bang Bang!

The thorns came, but before they could touch me. They came across my shield, which stopped them in their tracks.

I didn't look at the thorns. I know my shield will be able to stop it. All my focus is on the formation and the work it is doing.

It took twenty-one and a half seconds before the formation did what it needed to, and I pulled the core out of its place.

I watched with bated breath as I did. Looking at the trigger below the crystal for any sign of activation, but there was none.

The formation's purpose was simple. It is a to remove without activating the trigger. Now that it did, the trigger is no threat, with formation sealing it.

Seeing that relief couldn't help but flood my heart.

The crystal moved out of its place, and I acted on the second part of the plan, which is much less delicate.

The strings moved and cut the tunes that connected the heart to the tree at the same time. The strings cut the round shape into the tree trunk.

Krrrr Karrr Krrr!

The faces screamed as the heart was brought out.

Click!

Immediately, the box appeared in my hand, and closed it.

With that, I am done and flew up, but not before gently touching the tree, leaving the last gift behind.

It took two and a half seconds before the collapse began.

The purple energy had become even wilder before the spatial change began to appear. The storm appeared and space began to get jumped.

At one corner, a black hole had formed and swallowed things while I flew up.

It is a not straight path; I am moving through the zig-zag pattern. Avoiding anything spatial that felt dangerous; everything spatial had turned dangerous.

I am seeing monsters getting cut into several pieces, while some are turned into the paste by the spatial grind.

There was no resistance.

Like them, I do not have any resistance against them. If I get caught in it; I might not be able to come out alive through it.

A spatial particle merged in front of me and formed a tiny blade.

It was directly in front of me, that I barely had a moment to turn, and I did, without caring for the pressure falling on the body.

Rip!

A ripping sound rang out as it cut through my shoulder. I could do nothing other than mobilize formation to try to contain spatial particles.

Fortunately, the blade didn't release any or it would have been really hard to deal with it.

Such a small blade began to form around me, but seeing one forming, I had become careful of such clusters and avoided them, even at the cost of slowing down.

It is a wise decision, seeing how quickly they turned into the spatial blades.

It happens within a moment.

I could stop it, but that takes time and that is for one and there are hundreds of forming around me every moment.

So, doing it isn't wise.

The space is breaking, or rather shrinking. The measure the tree used to keep the expanded space stable area disappearing, making the things extremely dangerous.

Leaving this space as fast as I could was the wise thing to do.

Things are getting dangerous every second I wish, I could move faster, but I am moving at my peak speed.

I can not move faster than it.

I would need to burn my blood to do it, and I kept that option ready. I will not hesitate to do it. If I feel like I need to do it for survival.

It is the most important thing.

Seconds passed, and finally, I reached the edge. I took the sharp turn, avoiding a long spatial place, before bursting out of the space.

I stopped after a mile and looked down. A terrifying scene is happening there.

No sky sovereigns would want to be in there and it is a miracle that I had survived with a few injuries which had already started healing.

My heart is still beating wildly. Not daring to believe that I was able to get out of there in one piece.

I truly hadn't thought I would see the spatial blades, but I did.

"I am safe," I said and took a deep breath, while I watched the space sink and shrink.

There is so much to learn and I am going to take everything I could from this experience.

I had earned it that much.
