Chapter 4463: Charlie’s Inn

It was the evening when the city came into view. It is a huge city nestled in the hills.

Its big, but I have seen many dwarf it, but it will serve my purpose. I plan to spend some time here, weeks or even months, depending on the situation.

It is not in this one city, but in this general area, that seven cities are located.

It is technically a neutral zone, and these cities are neutral, but each of these cities has Prime organisation as the backer.

It is an important area that has a lot of resources. Not to mention the important route.

Nobody wants it to get into the hands of others, which creates a delicate balance. I flew toward it with the aura of a Sovereign.

I could have easily stayed in the forest, which would have been much easier, but I would rather not do that.

It gets very lonely, and I don’t want to feel that feeling. It is terrible. So, I will live among the people like a civilised person.

At the Sovereign’s speed, it took me nearly two hours to reach the city.

I landed in front of it and showed my documents to the guards. I didn’t have it, but I had copied it, seeing what people have shown.

Even the hastily done work is good enough that even Sky Sovereigns wouldn’t find any fault in it.

"You are clear," the guard said. "Thank you," I thanked and walked into the city.

I could have simply slipped inside. Even the soul senses covering the city wouldn’t have been able to sense me, but I wanted to do everything perfectly.

I came in the other side and looked at the huge city in front of me.

It is brimming with people, with its population reaching tens of millions. It has a greater-than-average density of the powerhouses, which isn’t surprising.

It is a neutral city, which means there are not many restrictions on independent powerhouses, as it is in the cities controlled by the organization.

I walked in the city on the hills.

Most of the cities destroy the hills or shape them according to their needs, but here they have not done that; they have kept them mostly unchanged.

It is the same with the trees; there are a lot of them.

I didn’t immediately find the inn, but walked around the city while my soul sense faintly covered it. I focus mostly on the conversations of the important people.

My reason for staying is the news of the realm. In the coming days to weeks, it will spread and shock the world.

There will be many people looking at me. So, my plan is to wait it out till all the hype of it dies down, while that happens. I focus on my practice and inheritance.

The inheritance has become challenging.

Every upgrade becomes difficult than the last, but this one is especially hard. I need to increase the percentage of the ancient runes.

I have already increased them a lot. More than I had expected when I had first set the goal, but now I want more, and it has become difficult.

It is why half of my clones are buried in books to enrich my knowledge further.

Thankfully, I have a library and a teacher who guides me. Though I wish she would teach me daily, like she used to do before.

That had made things a lot easier.

I pushed those thoughts away. It’s not a time to think about it; I will do so after I enter my core. Right now, I want to explore this beautiful city.

There are a lot of people here of different races and levels. I had spotted many Sky Sovereigns walking through the market, hiding their levels.

Though I could see that many of them are tracked by the city.

Some of them are aware of it, and I could see them using the methods against it, while others are fully unaware.

Nobody sensed me, nor could they. Forget the Sovereigns, even the Prime didn’t have a chance. Silver Prime would need a very good method, even art, to find me.

I took in the scenery and the market. It is selling many things, but nothing has caught my eye.

It’s not surprising. I have a very large collection of things, a few of which could compare to me. I get things that I want in the present, but also collect things that I might want in the future.

I didn’t always have to buy things. I am more than happy to just explode, watch the scenery, and the people.

A few minutes passed, and something finally caught my eye. It is pepper, a specific kind.

I wanted them, but they are very specific and rare. Even the store owner mislabelled them. I brought the whole batch before moving ahead.

I am happy, I found something. Especially in the culinary field, I have a lot of things, but I want more.

Another hour passed, and I explored the markets. Buying the few things that caught my eye before stopping in front of the inn.

This is in the market district. It is a five-story tall building with a sloped roof.

It is preferred by the Sovereigns.

I stepped inside it and saw it busy, with people eating and drinking, with servers quickly serving the orders.

"Welcome to Charlie’s Inn," said the human proprietress in a purple dress. "I need a room for two weeks," I replied.

"Of course, we have rooms available. What kind of room do you want?" she asked, and I specified before lying for it and taking the key.

I didn’t immediately go to the room, but instead sat on the small available table.

I am hungry and I want to eat. Its chef is good, it is the main reason I decided to stay here.

I listened to the conversation as I waited for my order. There are all types of talks going on, but not the one I want.

Which is not surprising. It hadnt even been a week yet.
