Chapter 4484: Absolute Centre

I didn’t move from my spot for a few minutes before walking out of it.

"They were powerful," I said to myself with a frown, before a big smile appeared on my face. It had scared me, but it will also make things exciting.

I didn’t know the race of the person or their gender.

If I had looked deeper, I would have discovered the truth, but I didn’t want to do something that might make them notice me, given their power.

I didn’t move immediately. Instead, I took a grey cloak and wrapped it over me.

Like their cloak, it covered my whole body. Since I said to Grerus, I will be returning. It’s better that I stick to their story.

The cloak is good. It is forged for my own needs. It complements my powers well.

Still, I checked all its formations and worked for a minute before I resumed moving forward, while my strings came out and began to harvest the resources.

I have come for them and I am not going to stop, despite the trail they left behind.

I will now be more dependent on my soul waves to alert me to anyone coming toward me.

Soon, another hour passed, and I didn’t find any trace of that person or anyone else. However, I sensed a monster that sent a shudder across my body.

They are terrifying here, with each of them having at least two laws.

Such things are very rare outside, but in this deeper region. Every monster has two, and some even three laws.

I remained cautious, but did not let it take over my mind. I focused on the resource and the journey ahead.

When I stopped and closed my eyes to focus. When I was sure, I moved. For a few seconds, there was nothing before the earth began to move.

A second after that, a palm-sized red rock appeared. It looks like a common rock, but the Law of Killing is emanating from it.

A very big smile appeared on my face. So far, I have found numerous resources on healing law and other laws, but I haven’t found a law of this quality on killing.

It made me very happy; the law of killing is the first law I had comprehended, but it is now in the third place of comprehension.

I want to take it further, make more progress.

It is a very useful law even when I couldn’t use it. It helps me understand the nature of the killing and the intent behind it. If someone wants to harm me, I feel it.

This had saved my life many times.

I put it in my core and moved ahead, but I needed to stop a few seconds later. I sensed another monster.

It is money, and quite a small one. It is barely half my size, but when I sensed it, I was surprised. I felt a shudder running through my body.

It may be small, but it wouldn’t take long for it to tear me apart.

It remained in my range for a second and a half before vanishing. It was at the outer edges and moving toward the opposite direction from mine.

I had nearly plucked the fruit before moving away.

Seeing that, I sighed in relief, but didn’t move from my place for nearly a minute before resuming my journey.

"I think I should return," I said to myself once more, but my legs kept moving forward.

I have come this far, and my heart won’t let me return. Even knowing that every step I take forward increases my chances of getting killed.

I cleared my thoughts and moved ahead. I am going to the centre and nothing could stop me.

Soon, it was afternoon, and I had stopped.

I am now an hour to an hour and a half away from the centre. Things have started getting dangerous. I am not talking about the monsters, but the energy itself.

It is getting thicker very fast, so I had to stop to adjust my armor accordingly.

The armor’s job is not only to protect me, but to protect me while keeping me stealthy. This energy is making that job harder.

It’s not wise to go further; I shouldn’t have even come here, but since I have come, and plan to go even further. I won’t be any more foolish about it than I already have been.

Minutes passed, and my clones made adjustments. I also participated in half of the focus.

Even that is dangerous. I shouldn’t be completely focused on the environment around me. Danger could come from any side, and they would be fast enough to tear me apart before I even knew how.

Finally, after nearly an hour. I made the necessary changes and began to move forward.

Every step I take brings me closer to my destination. Into thicker and thicker energy where even a common grass has law power, that would make prime envious.

This place has the resources to enable organisations to wage war far.

It’s unfortunate that even among the powerful. An extremely small number of Primes, a handful actually, have the power to come this far.

If Silver Prime could come, they would have fought a bloody war over this place.

I mean, really, there are a huge number of resources.

As I moved further, I began to see the signs of people. Someone before me had harvested the resources. They take a lot of them, but there are far more.

The visible as well as the hidden ones, which my strings would bring out.

Seeing those signs, I have become even more careful. Fighting in this place would be suicide. So, I’d rather not get discovered, unless I wanted to.

So, I began to move even more methodically, which helped me harvest more resources.

Time passed, and the energy became thick like fog. Making it harder to see, shrinking my rage, but that didn’t stop me, and I kept moving.

Until I took another step, when everything became crystal clear.

I have reached the absolute centre.
