Chapter 4509: Invitation
Chapter 4509: Invitation
Buzz!
The formation buzzed, and a big smile appeared on my face.
It is a massive fusion formation that I had been working on for months. It was damned hard to get what I wanted efficiently, but I had succeeded.
I need to advance fast, but I cannot sacrifice the quality of inheritance. If I were to do that, I wouldn’t have required so much time as I do, but I wouldn’t have been as powerful as I am right now.
The inheritance played the most significant part in it. So, I have to maintain the quality, no matter how long it takes me to achieve it.
It is a very good thing I have this core with the time dilation and the clones; otherwise, I could have forgotten to advance so fast.
I checked every aspect of it, and when I saw no problem, I was satisfied. I sent it toward the humanoid that is beginning to take shape, but it will still take years before my inheritance is complete.
I am tired. I had been working on it since the morning.
I didn’t get out of my core, but I stepped out of the library and walked into my core.
I walked through both of the islands, admiring beautiful plants and even monsters, before finally stopping at an underground chamber.
The wine is still not ready; its condition remains unchanged. It is still absorbing the energies of the core while the laws and energies crash inside it.
There isn’t much change inside, which would say it is close to being finished.
I have gathered tons of data, but it didn’t give me a single hint about when the process will be finished. It has been years already inside, and it might take a few more years.
There is a good chance that it will remain as it is.
I looked at the latest data before walking back into the library.
Knock Knock!
Hours passed, and suddenly a knock rang out on my door. ’She arrived,’ I thought, and I opened my eyes a moment later before appearing beside the door.
Click!
"Prime Dynvar, Prime Syvar," I greeted them. "Please come in," I invited.
She had sent a message in the morning that she would be coming to the city and would like to meet me.
"Thank you, Prime Arys," the old woman said. She looks young, but I am still referring to her as old. It’s not because she is old, but because she is Dynvar’s grandmother.
"It’s been ten months you have been here, but you have not come to our organization," said Dynvar. "I have been busy, Prime Dynvar, but I promise I will visit your organization before I leave," I replied, with a smile.
"I hope you do, there are a lot of people who want to meet you," she said.
There are a couple of Primes here in the city. I had met them, including some who had come here. I traded, exchanged information, and the gossip.
"Have you eaten?" she asked. "No, I was planning to head out for it in a few hours," I replied.
"You can come with us. I wouldn’t be the only one celebrating my grandma’s birthday," she invited. "I don’t want to impose," I replied.
"It’s no imposition, Prime Arys," said the old woman.
A minute later, we were flying over the city. "Beautiful, isn’t it?" asked Dynvar, seeing me looking at the glittering city below.
"You grew up here?" I asked, turning to her. "No, but I spent quite a time in here when I was Sovereign," she replied.
Soon, we reached a suburban corner of the city and landed in front of a small, homely-looking restaurant. As we walked toward it, Dynvar’s aura changed to that of the Primary.
Me and her grandmother copied. Turning our aura to Primary.
"This is one of the best restaurants in the city," she said as we reached the door, which she pushed open.
It is decently filled, but there are some empty tables. We sat down in the middle one.
A waiter came a few seconds. "What can I get you?" she asked as she handed us the menu. "Their house special and house-crafted wine is quite good," suggested Dynvar.
"Then I will take it," I said. "Me too," replied the old woman. "Three house specials and a bottle of house-crafted wine," ordered Dynvar.
"I thought it would be years before you came out of your organization," I said to Dynvar as the server left. She got quite a lot of benefits; it is quite common to internalize those for years.
Especially for someone who is a step away from Silver Prime and has a good chance at it. "Me too, but something had come up," she replied.
It must be quite serious for her to come personally. She is the strongest Prime in her organization.
They wouldn’t have sent her if it weren’t something serious. Before it had been a common Prime problem, they would have sent another Prime.
It means the problem is likely one that only someone of her strength could solve.
"With your strength, it wouldn’t be a problem to deal with it," I said, but the woman shook her head. "It’s quite complicated," she replied, shaking her head with a sigh.
"It is another reason why I came to meet you. I was hoping you would come with me." She said, turning to me.
"I know, I am asking too much after what you already did, but if it wasn’t necessary, I wouldn’t have asked," I could see a faint bit of desperation in her eyes.
"How long will it take?" I asked after a moment of silence. "Ten days, three weeks at most," she replied.
"Ok," I replied, and their faces lit up.
I didn’t ask about the danger; there is no need. If it needs her, it means it is dangerous. Besides, I am also feeling a little bored after ten month.
It would be good to change the scenery for a while. I need it.
