Chapter 4511: Vestige
Chapter 4511: Vestige
I woke up at my usual time, quickly freshened up, and showered before walking into the kitchen.
There I sat down and closed my eyes; they remained closed for fifteen minutes before I opened them, and a moment later, breakfast in a box appeared.
I cooked it myself in the core.
I wanted to eat something good before leaving with Dynvar today.
I finished breakfast in half an hour, and then lay down on the couch with my eyes closed. There are two hours before she comes; there is no need to waste that.
Knock!
I was in my core, working on my inheritance when the knock came out.
A moment later, I opened my eyes and appeared before the door before opening it, but instead of inviting inside, I walked outside.
There are two of them standing. I didn’t know her Grandmother was also coming.
She is powerful, but nothing compared to her granddaughter. Though she is very happy right now, she could barely hide it.
"Ready?" asked Dynvar. "Yes," I replied, and three of them took the flight.
"How long will it take us to reach there?" I asked. "By evening," she replied. It is further than I had thought.
We flew out of the city and over the ocean. I thought the problem was in the land, but it seemed like it was in the sea, or at least on an island.
"What is a problem?" I asked. "A very old vestige is leaking corruption. It is affecting the sea monsters that are attacking the nearby cities," she replied.
"Have they sent people before sending you?" I asked, and her grandmother nodded.
"Yes, we did, and found the corruption originates from the deeper part of it. It is a death zone for Prime like me," she replied and looked at her granddaughter, with pride in her eyes.
She should be Dynvar, one of the strongest primes in the world, with a good chance of success in breaking through the Silver Prime.
Once that happens, her family could rise as well.
Silver Primes are very powerful individuals; they live long, and their families become quite successful if they are close to them.
Dynvar seemed quite close to her, at least close to her grandmother.
Soon, forty minutes passed when Dynvar stopped, and I felt her power covering us with a sphere before the space began to move.
A moment later, the sphere moved at the blurring speed.
It is moving very fast, but not as fast as I had. In these ten months, I had become slightly faster as I refined those formations.
"The spirit you gave had been very powerful. It helped me break through the bottleneck that I had been stuck in for a long time," said Prime Syvar.
I am surprised, not because of the effect, but because she is openly saying, Primes do not do that usually.
"I am glad to hear it," I replied.
"It is quite incredible that you were able to preserve the powerful law to such an extent in the spirit," said Dynvar. She would be shocked if I said that what I only used is dregs.
Though the law was helpful, it isn’t the only reason she was able to advance.
The particular state that powerful alcohol had put her in had also helped just as much as the law.
I am happy for her; it’s unfortunate that the spirits couldn’t give me such benefits. If anything could give me, it would be that wine, but it’s not ready, and I don’t know where it would be.
"It’s not that hard. I will show you, when we return," I replied, to her shock.
I don’t mind sharing the knowledge with the people I like. Dynvar is also an alchemist and quite a good one, from what I heard.
She should be able to learn what I will teach.
It is my self-developed skill. Even without the use of the forbidden power, it’s very good. It is through which I had crafted the spirit, I had gifted her.
Of course, I wouldn’t be an idiot to give her the one crafted with the forbidden power.
My every move is being watched. If I reveal the slightest forbidden power, the whole world will come down on me, and it will be extremely hard for me to get away this time.
"This is the information about the vestige," she said, and threw me the information crystal.
I caught it and began to read this information.
As she had said, it is a vestige and an extremely dangerous kind. It used to belong to the ancient cult and was filled with corruption.
Looking at the information, we will have to go to the most dangerous part.
It is dangerous enough to kill even Dynvar; no wonder she had asked me to come with her. My abilities are very suited for it.
I am excited for it as I read the resources.
It is in places like these that one could find the purest resources. There are a lot of them here, with one of them catching my particular attention.
I want it. It will help me tremendously if I use it before my breakthroughs.
With the help of my clones and time dilation, I was able to finish with the information pretty quickly, but I acted like I was still reading it.
"Do you have any questions?" she asked as I finished reading.
"It had a lot of resources. Your organization didn’t seem to exploit it?" I asked, and a mirthless smile appeared on the faces of both.
"A few centuries ago, there had been an incident there, and we have a lot of Primes. So, it is forbidden to most Primes; only the strongest are allowed to go there, and not without a good cause." She replied.
’So, I happened there,’ I thought.
I had read about that incident when I was reading the information about her organization. It has been mentioned that the incident and the grave losses it caused them.
They are likely going for the same resources that I am eying for; it is tremendously helpful to Primes—especially those who want to make a breakthrough into the Silver Prime.
