Chapter 312: See the Queen Again
Chapter 312: See the Queen Again
The troop came to a stop right beside Richard and the Star Spirit Prince.
Richard no longer bothered to hit him. Instead, he looked at the troop with curiosity since they were from the Fire Spirit Kingdom.
The one leading them was even the Fire Spirit Queen’s nephew.
"Sir Richard, greetings to you," said the young man known as Prince Damian.
"Greetings, Sir Richard!" the soldiers behind him saluted in unison.
Everyone present froze in shock.
From Richard’s own observation, however, their actions were more out of obedience to orders. They themselves looked confused as to why they had been given such an order.
"Sir Richard, Her Majesty the Queen has sent us to escort you to the Fire Spirit Kingdom. You are our honored guest," Prince Damian said.
"Oh..."
After hearing that, Richard casually tossed the Star Spirit Prince aside.
The Fire Spirit soldiers, including Prince Damian, could only stare in disbelief.
After all, the Star Spirit Prince held an extremely high status. He had caused them endless trouble during the war between the two kingdoms, and even Prince Damian had never been able to defeat him.
"In that case, I’ll go with you," Richard said calmly.
He noticed they had also brought a luxurious golden carriage adorned with intricate golden carvings.
Upon hearing his reply, Prince Damian immediately ordered his men to move the carriage forward until it stopped before Richard.
He personally opened the carriage door for him.
"Please, come in, Sir Richard," he said respectfully.
Richard gave a slight nod and stepped inside.
Even the interior had been prepared with Spirit Fruits—Spirit Apples, Spirit Strawberries, and Spirit Grapes.
Unlike ordinary fruits, these were entirely formed from spiritual light.
Even so, they were solid and possessed real flesh.
Curious, Richard took a bite of a Spirit Apple, only to discover how incredibly sweet and refreshing it was. It even restored his Aether almost instantly.
It possessed a similar effect to a Nature Spirit in restoring Aether. More importantly, the refreshing sensation after eating it was simply extraordinary.
The carriage soon took flight, and Richard enjoyed the fruits while admiring the Land of Spirit, a world completely different from the Land of Human.
This truly was not a world meant for humans.
The gemstone mountains were only one of its many unique features. Richard also saw countless elemental lakes—of fire, lightning, wind, light, and many others.
The rivers were no different.
Even the forests were filled with vibrant colors, their trees bearing Spirit Fruits, though of a much lower quality than the ones he was eating.
It seemed the Fire Spirit Kingdom wasn’t too far away. Richard soon spotted a gigantic river of fire winding through the forest like the body of a colossal serpent.
Occasionally, there were cities built along its banks, though none were large enough to be considered the capital.
The troop led by Prince Damian continued moving at high speed, so the capital was likely still some distance away.
The Fire Spirit Kingdom was clearly much larger than the Holy Star Kingdom.
After all, this was a kingdom that had produced two Grand Sovereigns.
Furthermore, from what Richard had heard, the Land of Spirit was even larger than the Land of Human, though its population was smaller because the Spirits were not as productive as humans.
Naturally, in terms of overall power—such as the number of Grand Sovereigns and Ancient Sovereigns—humans still held the advantage. No race surpassed humanity in that regard.
Richard continued to relax, quietly watching the fiery river below.
The speed of this troop was also far slower than his own, so it was only natural that they couldn’t reach the destination as quickly as he could.
Half an hour later, Richard saw the end of the river of fire merging into an enormous lake of flames.
To the eyes of a weak Magus, it would look no different from an ocean of fire.
The flaming lake left Richard astonished because it appeared to be the capital of the Fire Spirit Kingdom.
Countless crystal buildings stood upon it, connected by roads made entirely of crystal.
They were elevated pathways supported by pillars, and every building was likewise raised on pillars so they wouldn’t obstruct the flow of the flaming lake beneath them.
Richard had never imagined a city like this before. If it had been an ordinary lake filled with water, it wouldn’t have seemed unusual.
But apparently, the city’s inhabitants were completely unaffected by the flames. Richard even saw several of them bathing directly in the lake of fire.
A magnificent crystal palace stood at the very center of the city—or rather, the flaming lake. It was enormous, majestic, with multiple levels and vast courtyards.
Naturally, that was where he was being taken.
There, Richard saw the Fire Spirit Queen standing on the palace terrace.
She looked completely different.
Here, she possessed a pair of golden flaming wings and wore a luxurious crimson gown embroidered with golden patterns. Her hair was elegantly tied into a bun, adorned with a silver tiara encrusted with diamonds.
Her beauty seemed to have reached an entirely new level.
None of the Fire Spirit soldiers showed the slightest trace of inappropriate thoughts toward her. What they felt was nothing but reverence.
She still appeared youthful, and in truth, she wasn’t that old since she had spent most of her life in a state of slumber.
The palace soldiers and elders, however, were all filled with curiosity.
They had already heard about Richard—the miracle of the Human Race.
But why did their Queen treat him with such extraordinary respect that she personally sent troops to escort him and even waited for his arrival on the palace terrace?
It was something none of them could understand.
Naturally, certain suspicions arose in their minds, but none of them dared to entertain such thoughts.
Unfortunately, they had no information whatsoever about the Fire Spirit Queen during her time in the Land of Human.
The troop landed in front of the palace.
Still inside the carriage, Richard couldn’t be bothered to wait for someone to open the door for him. He opened it himself and stepped down, a bright smile spreading across his face.
