Chapter 326: Star Ancestor
Chapter 326: Star Ancestor
"He won..." The Fire Spirits could only stare in disbelief at the shattered sky above their city, with Lords scattering in every direction to save their lives.
Even Justin, who had seemed so formidable at first, now looked no different from a dying rat as he fled.
The battle had been far too short.
"This is something only a Peak Ruler could accomplish," someone muttered.
The palace elders looked toward the Fire Spirit Queen, who remained calm on the surface.
But the truth was, even she was deeply shocked by Richard’s strength.
"Your Majesty, your friend is truly an unparalleled genius." One of the more influential elders spoke up.
He had lived for a very long time and had watched the Fire Spirit Queen grow.
Hearing that, the Queen merely smiled faintly, leaving the elder speechless.
His purpose in praising Richard had simply been to see the Queen’s reaction.
And that reaction had made the relationship between the two of them even more obvious.
In the elder’s eyes, the Queen was still very young despite her extraordinary strength.
If she had remained conscious after the battle in the previous era, she would naturally be much older by now.
But she hadn’t.
She had lost consciousness and only awakened within the past few years.
The life she had actually experienced was far too short.
If she met a young genius who could become close to her, it was perfectly possible for her to fall in love.
"Mm..." The Fire Spirit Queen furrowed her brows.
Then she stepped directly into the sky.
Suddenly, countless stars appeared above Richard and began raining down toward him.
Richard’s expression turned serious.
Each star was as large as a city, radiating an oppressive pressure.
He might be able to destroy several of them, but there were thousands falling toward him.
They were more than enough to crush him.
However, a sea of golden flames emerged from below and instantly swallowed the stars.
They were the same brilliant golden flames Richard possessed.
Only, this sea of flames was unimaginably vast.
The Rulers, and even Richard himself, couldn’t help but avert their eyes because the radiance was simply too dazzling.
The stars were completely incinerated by the golden flames.
"Eldoria, you have reached Tier 3 as well..."
A voice filled with shock echoed from above.
"Star Ancestor, how could someone as esteemed as you shamelessly attack a Lord..." the Fire Spirit Queen replied coldly.
She stood in front of Richard, protecting him.
As the sea of golden flames disappeared, Richard saw an old man clad in golden robes, surrounded by countless stars.
He looked as though he had been born from starlight itself.
Just looking at him made people feel as if they were gazing at the brightest star in the heavens.
"Eldoria, are you really siding with a human over your fellow Spirits?" the Star Ancestor asked.
"Who I choose to support is none of your concern," the Fire Spirit Queen replied indifferently.
"Hmph, hmph. It seems this human brat is quite important to you." The Star Ancestor sneered as he studied the Queen’s expression.
Indeed, it was rare for someone to support a genius from another race.
Although doing so wasn’t considered a betrayal of one’s own race—especially since conflicts between members of the same race were actually quite common—those who openly supported outsiders were often ridiculed.
There was another person in this era who had done the same thing, however: the Sun Spirit King.
The Fire Spirit Queen didn’t respond.
But at that moment, Richard suddenly reached out and grabbed her hand, causing her to freeze in surprise.
The Star Ancestor was stunned as well.
Naturally, the spectators below were equally shocked.
"Old man, are you the strongest person in the Star Spirit Kingdom?" Richard asked as he pulled the Fire Spirit Queen, who had been standing in front of him, back to his side.
Although she could have refused, she found herself unable to do so.
"Brat, what are you trying to say?" the Star Ancestor asked in return.
"I heard your kingdom has been continuously attacking the Fire Spirit Kingdom," Richard said.
"Why? Do you want to interfere? All by yourself?"
"Of course I have to interfere..." Richard nodded before smiling at the Queen, who immediately became embarrassed.
"I won’t allow anyone to bully my woman."
The Fire Spirit Queen’s face instantly turned crimson.
She lowered her head, not daring to look anywhere else.
Her people were completely frozen in shock.
Their dignified Queen...
The Star Ancestor recovered from his surprise much faster.
The corners of his lips curled into a mocking smile before he burst into laughter.
"Eldoria, hahaha! Eldoria! You used to be so arrogant. Who would have thought you’d end up being fooled by a human brat? So this is your taste in men?"
Although she had initially been embarrassed, the Fire Spirit Queen’s expression darkened at the mockery.
"Star Ancestor, is talking all you can do? If you want to fight, I’ll accompany you for as long as you wish. That is, if you dare to fight to the death."
Against an enemy of equal strength, she would never retreat unless the enemy themselves withdrew.
She had always been prepared to die to defend her dignity.
"Hmph!" The Star Ancestor snorted coldly.
"Why the rush? How about we listen to your little brat first? I want to know how exactly he plans to stop us."
He turned his gaze back toward Richard.
"Brat, you must have an impressive background in the Land of Human. Do you want to summon your ancestors? Hmph! Hmph! Call them here. I want to see whether any of your ancestors dare come to the Land of Spirit and cause trouble."
"My ancestors? There’s no need for that," Richard replied.
"I’ll go to your kingdom myself. I heard the Star Spirit King wants Eldoria as well. I want to see whether he even has the qualifications to compete with me."
"Very good. I hope you’re not all talk. We, the Star Spirit Kingdom, will be waiting for you."
The Star Ancestor laughed angrily.
Then he turned around and left.
"Richard..." The Fire Spirit Queen looked worried.
Richard, however, merely smiled and gently stroked her red hair.
"Once I become a Ruler, we’ll attack them. You take care of that old man. Leave the rest to me," he said.
"By the way, I already have both keys. How do I enter the Spirit Ruler World?"
