Chapter 1231: The Gathering 1
Chapter 1231: The Gathering 1
Some light years away from the very center of the Prime galaxy stood Prime Fate.
It was the main planet of the entire Prime Galaxy and, without question, its strongest world. Unlike ordinary planets, Prime Fate was not merely a place where powerful beings lived. It was the heart of the Prime Universe’s civilization and the headquarters from which countless regions were governed. The planet itself was enormous, surrounded by layers upon layers of defensive formations that had been reinforced throughout countless years of war.
At the center of Prime Fate stood the headquarters of the Prime Universe.
Deep within that headquarters was a vast circular chamber constructed specifically for the meetings of the universe’s highest-ranking beings.
A massive round table occupied the center of the chamber. Nine seats surrounded it, each separated by an equal distance. The room itself was surprisingly simple compared to the power of those who would gather there.
Only the nine seats.
At the head of the table sat Amun.
His actual body was nowhere near the chamber.
None of the Demi-Gods would be bringing their true bodies here.
There was no reason to expose their real bodies when Soul Force could be used to create avatars capable of communicating almost perfectly with one another. Each avatar was formed from a portion of the Demi-God’s Soul Force and possessed nearly the same appearance as their true body.
The only obvious difference was the faint golden hue covering their skin.
It was subtle, but unmistakable.
Amun sat comfortably in his chair, one arm resting against the side as he waited.
His expression was relaxed, almost casual, but his eyes occasionally moved toward the empty seats around him.
He had already been waiting for some time.
Then the first ripple appeared.
Space several meters away from the table distorted slightly before a figure stepped out of it.
He was an enormous humanoid dragon.
His body was covered in dark crimson scales, though most of them remained hidden beneath a simple black robe. Two curved horns extended backward from his forehead, while his golden eyes carried an ancient and imposing presence. His face was mostly humanoid, but his sharp features and vertical pupils clearly revealed his draconic bloodline.
Even though the figure was only an avatar, his presence was powerful enough to make the surrounding space tremble faintly.
Amun looked toward him.
"Dragon Sovereign."
The dragon looked toward Amun before taking his seat.
"Amun."
His voice was deep and resonant, carrying the natural pressure of his race. He glanced around the chamber.
"Am I the first?"
"For the moment."
The Dragon Sovereign gave a small nod and leaned back in his chair.
"I suppose Aurora will be late."
Amun smiled faintly.
"She is not here yet."
The Dragon Sovereign’s eyes narrowed slightly, but before he could say anything else, another presence appeared.
This time, there was no distortion in space.
Instead, countless tiny golden particles gathered beside the table.
They slowly condensed into the form of a slender humanoid woman.
She possessed an elegant appearance, with white skin, long silver hair, and strangely calm eyes that seemed to contain countless shifting patterns. Her race was Essari, one of the ancient races of the Prime Universe, known for their extraordinary sensitivity toward soul force and Laws.
The Essari Sovereign looked around the chamber before giving Amun a polite nod.
"Amun."
"Essari Sovereign."
She took her seat without saying anything further.
Not long after, the space beside another chair began to ripple.
A tall figure emerged from within it.
He possessed the upper body of a humanoid man, but long dark-green scales covered his arms and neck. His lower body was concealed beneath a long robe, though the faint movement beneath it revealed the presence of a massive serpentine tail.
The Naga Sovereign had arrived.
His golden eyes swept across the chamber before settling on Amun.
"Greetings, Amun."
"Welcome."
The Naga Sovereign took his seat. Three seats were now occupied besides Amun.
The chamber remained quiet for only a short while.
Then a powerful gust of wind swept through the room.
A figure descended from above.
He landed lightly beside his chair, his massive body barely making a sound.
The Feran Sovereign possessed the appearance of a humanoid tiger. Striped fur covered his arms, shoulders, and face, while two enormous wings extended from his back. His body was tall and heavily muscled, clearly shaped for combat rather than elegance.
His golden eyes briefly swept across everyone present.
Then he grinned.
"Looks like I am not the last."
The Dragon Sovereign glanced toward him.
"You are rarely early."
The Feran Sovereign laughed. The Dragon Sovereign snorted but said nothing. The Feran Sovereign pulled out his chair and sat down.
Amun watched the interaction with a faint smile.
The atmosphere inside the chamber gradually became more relaxed as more of the universe’s strongest beings arrived.
But the next arrival changed that atmosphere completely. A strange darkness suddenly spread across one side of the room.
It did not behave like ordinary darkness.
It swallowed the surrounding light without producing any visible shadow, creating a small region of complete blackness. From within that darkness, a humanoid figure slowly emerged.
The Sovereign of Abyssal Darkness had arrived.
His appearance was almost completely normal. He wore a long black robe, and his face looked like that of an ordinary middle-aged man. His skin carried the faint golden hue common to all the avatars, but his eyes were unnaturally dark.
He glanced around the table. His gaze paused briefly on Amun before moving away.
"Amun."
Amun nodded.
"Darkness."
The Sovereign of Abyssal Darkness took his seat. No one spoke to him after that. Everyone knew his personality was not one that encouraged casual conversation.
A few breaths later, another presence arrived.
This time, a low rumble echoed through the chamber.
Black-violet lightning suddenly appeared in the air.
It moved silently.
There was no thunder.
No explosion.
The lightning simply appeared and vanished, leaving behind small distortions in space. A humanoid figure gradually formed in the middle of those arcs.
The Sovereign of Annihilating Lightning.
He possessed short black hair, sharp facial features, and a pair of violet eyes. Apart from the faint golden hue of his skin and the occasional black-violet lightning flickering around him, he looked almost entirely normal.
He glanced around the table.
"Everyone is already here?"
"Not everyone," Amun replied.
The Sovereign of Annihilating Lightning nodded before taking his seat. The number of occupied seats had now risen considerably.
Yet one particular seat remained empty.
The seat beside the Sovereign of Annihilating Lightning.
Amun’s gaze briefly shifted toward it. He knew exactly who was supposed to sit there.
The next arrival was far more subtle. There was no visible distortion. The air simply became slightly heavier.
Then a humanoid figure appeared.
He was tall and slender, with long silver hair and an almost flawless appearance. His skin carried the same faint golden hue as the others, while his eyes seemed unusually calm.
The moment he appeared, the Dragon Sovereign looked toward him.
"Sovereign Eternal Time."
The newly arrived Demi-God nodded.
"Dragon Sovereign."
He then looked toward Amun.
"Amun."
Amun returned the greeting.
"Time."
The Sovereign of Eternal Time took his seat. For an instant, the chamber fell completely silent. The three traitorous Demi-Gods had now gathered among the other Sovereigns without revealing anything unusual.
