Chapter 307: Silent King (3)
Chapter 307: Silent King (3)
Kyrian remained seated on the high branch for a few more minutes, watching the chaos unfolding below as if observing a distant storm. The gentle wind continued to sway the leaves around him, carrying the metallic scent of blood and burned wood. He felt no urgency. No excitement. Only a deep calm, almost bored.
But then, something changed.
His green eyes caught familiar movements in the distance. Known energies were rushing at high speed through the dense forest. Mo Tianhai led the group, followed by Mo Xia, Long Xue, Shen Yu, and Wu Jian. They were heading straight for the core, eliminating anyone who crossed their path.
Kyrian slowly stood up.
Without saying a word, he took a single leap from the high branch.
The air whistled around him as he fell like a black arrow. The impact when his feet touched the ground was violent. A dull thud echoed throughout the entire clearing, raising a cloud of dust, splinters of wood, and dry leaves that spread like a silent explosion. The ground cracked slightly beneath his feet, forming small fissures that spread like spiderwebs.
All the fights stopped at that exact moment.
Heads turned. Eyes widened. Breaths were held. The chaos that had consumed the clearing moments ago abruptly ceased, as if someone had frozen time. The thirty-something talented youths who were still fighting stood motionless, swords raised, Qi pulsing unstably, all facing the figure who had just descended.
Kyrian.
He did not look at anyone. He did not give a single glance to the fighters around him. His expression remained cold and indifferent, as if the massacre happening there was no more relevant than the wind blowing through the trees.
He simply began to walk.
Each step was calm, unhurried. The dust still lingered in the air as he moved toward the edge of the large clearing that opened around the Ancestral Tree. Those nearby instinctively moved aside to avoid standing in his path, opening a wide corridor. No one dared approach. No one dared speak. Fear and curiosity mixed, creating a suffocating tension.
Kyrian stopped at the edge of the clearing, looking toward the forest from which his companions were approaching.
Outside, on the Central Plateau, the audience erupted into a wave of exclamations.
"He descended! Kyrian came down from the tree!"
"Look, just his descent made all the fights stop, just his presence below the tree made everyone focus on him. Isn’t that incredible?"
"Is he going to participate now? Is he going to start hunting everyone?!"
"Finally! I want to see him fighting for real!"
In the VIP sections, the leaders leaned forward, eyes fixed on the screens.
The Leader of the Ancient Forest smiled even wider.
"Interesting... he finally moved."
Meanwhile, inside the Pocket Realm, the silence lasted nearly fifteen minutes.
No one dared resume the fights. Everyone waited, tense, watching the solitary figure in black robes at the edge of the clearing. The air was thick with anticipation.
Then, finally, they arrived.
Mo Tianhai burst into the clearing at high speed, followed by the other four. Their bodies were dirty with soil, leaves, and dried blood from previous battles, but their eyes shone with determination. As soon as they saw Kyrian, their faces lit up.
"Kyrian!" Mo Tianhai shouted, running toward him.
Kyrian gave a slight nod. The five quickly approached. Mo Tianhai gave him a firm slap on the shoulder, laughing.
"We knew you’d be here! Look at those points... you really cleared the entire forest, didn’t you?"
Kyrian looked at Mo Tianhai’s leaf, which showed 650 points, and at the others, who ranged between 400 and 600.
"You still have a few points..." He said briefly, without a tone of judgment.
Mo Tianhai smiled confidently.
"We’re not like you. But anyway, we can still get more. We just need to fight."
Kyrian nodded, thinking for a moment.
"Alright. Soon, the chaos here will return. You will be able to fish in troubled waters." He added, looking toward the center of the clearing, where the other participants watched the scene with tension.
"I will wait at the top of the tree. Enjoy hunting. If you cannot continue, I will help you."
Mo Tianhai and the others nodded. They knew Kyrian would not actively participate in the carnage, for him, it would be like beating children. But they also knew he would not let any of them be eliminated easily. It was a silent protection, but a powerful one.
Kyrian said nothing more. He made a light jump and returned to the top of the great tree, landing on the same branch as before. He sat down again, his legs swaying slightly, as if nothing had happened.
Meanwhile, more and more youths arrived at the central area, drawn by the noise and flashes of Qi. Many stopped upon seeing the scene, the paused massacre, the Verdant Sword group gathered, and Kyrian once again seated at the top of the tree.
They understood immediately.
No one dared approach the great tree. It was as if the Ancestral Tree at the center of the pocket realm was Kyrian’s official territory. A neutral zone, or rather, a forbidden zone.
Mo Tianhai looked around, smiling fiercely.
"Now, each of us will be on our own. Kyrian will help us if we suffer any losses, so don’t worry too much and focus on eliminating others and gaining more points."
"Right!" Mo Xia, Long Xue, Shen Yu, and Wu Jian responded almost at the same time.
They spread out, searching for opponents with points similar to theirs. The fights, which had paused momentarily, exploded again with even greater intensity. New alliances formed and broke. Brilliant techniques illuminated the clearing once more.
Kyrian watched everything from above, impassive. He had hunted enough. Now, he would let his companions shine.
The first phase of the Domain Gathering was entering its most bloody and unpredictable climax. And he, at the top of the tree, remained the silent observer who controlled the rhythm of everything without needing to move a single hand.
