Mystic Eyes: My Eyes Steal the Laws of Cultivation

Chapter 658: Last days on the Caravan (19)

Chapter 658: Last days on the Caravan (19)

Kyrian looked at his own plaque. Number 1437.

He let out a discreet sigh.

“I got it.”

The steward continued:

“The Necklace of Three Harmonies belongs to the holder of plaque number 1437.”

The plaza exploded into murmurs, voices rising in speculation. Kyrian put away the plaque and immediately stood up, his body crossing the space between the crowd and the stage within moments.

The steward was already waiting for him, her expression calm. Kyrian took out the corresponding spirit stones from his spatial ring and handed them over. The woman checked the payment, her fingers moving with the precision of someone who had been doing this for decades.

Then she extended the necklace.

Kyrian carefully received the artifact, his fingers wrapping around the three silver chains. His violet eyes immediately analyzed the three chains. Even without activating it, he could perceive that the spiritual structure of the object was extraordinarily complex, a labyrinth of energy that seemed to contain centuries of knowledge.

‘Interesting.’

He stored the necklace in his spatial ring. For now, he did not intend to use it. He wanted to study its structure first, understanding how it worked before trusting it.

Then, he returned to Sun Luguo and Lio Han.

Sun Luguo looked at him, his experienced eyes scanning his face.

“You really wanted that necklace.”

“Yes.”

“How much did you pay?”

Kyrian remained silent for a moment.

“More than I intended to.”

Sun Luguo burst into laughter, the hoarse sound echoing through the plaza.

“Then it must have been worth it.”

Kyrian nodded, his expression calm.

“I hope so.”

The auction continued and continued. Even after the sale of the Necklace of Three Harmonies, there were still many treasures waiting, a small incomplete sword that apparently belonged to an ancient sect, and a flask containing the blood of a beast.

A Rank 5 movement technique, a formation capable of concealing a small building, an herb that only grows in extremely cold regions, a small spiritual statue that could act as a guardian, an extremely rare ore capable of storing lightning energy, and a map fragment indicating the location of an ancient forbidden area.

Some items reached absurd prices, while others were sold quickly. Kyrian, however, did not participate again. He had already obtained what he wanted.

Then, finally, after several hours, the steward returned to the center of the stage. This time, no one needed to ask; everyone knew that the final item had arrived.

The woman held a small transparent flask. Inside was a golden liquid, or rather, three drops. Only three. But the instant the flask appeared, the expressions of countless cultivators changed. Even Sun Luguo became serious, and Lio Han narrowed his eyes.

Kyrian observed in silence.

The steward raised the flask.

“This is the final item of the grand final auction.”

She paused.

“Three drops of Heaven and Earth Liquid.”

The entire plaza exploded, voices rising in shock and greed.

“Impossible!”

“Heaven and Earth Liquid?!”

“Are there really three drops?”

“How did this appear here?!”

Even some cultivators from powerful families could not hide their excitement, their faces changing at the promise of that treasure. The steward remained calm, her voice cutting through the uproar.

“A single drop possesses enough energy to allow a cultivator of mediocre talent to advance several stages, provided that their body and cultivation can withstand the energy.”

The murmurs became even more intense.

“With two drops…” She raised two fingers.

“…it is possible to break through any bottleneck that could trap a cultivator for decades.”

Silence. Even Kyrian became serious, understanding the magnitude of that treasure.

The steward continued.

“Heaven and Earth Liquid is one of the rarest spiritual liquids in existence. This is not the highest-quality specimen known…” A brief pause.

“…but it is still a treasure that many cultivators will never have the opportunity to see again in their lives.”

The entire plaza seemed on the verge of exploding. This time, no one cared about spending spirit stones; everyone wanted to know who would have enough resources to buy it.

The steward raised her hand.

“Begin the bidding.”

The jade plaques began glowing almost simultaneously, an explosion of light illuminating the entire plaza. The numbers rose at an absurd speed, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands. The value continued increasing, a silent battle involving fortunes that most of those present would never see in their entire lives.

Kyrian did not participate. Even though it was an extraordinary treasure, that liquid was not something he needed at the moment. He possessed an extremely stable foundation and did not want to use such a powerful substance without necessity. Besides, he would probably have to spend an absurd amount of spirit stones, and he had already spent most of his fortune on the necklace.

So he watched, his curiosity satisfied by witnessing a dispute of that level.

Finally, after five minutes that seemed much longer than all the others, the steward announced the winner. A specific plaque had been won.

Kyrian looked in the indicated direction, and a young man dressed in red was standing in the middle of the crowd. Around him were approximately fifteen people wearing similar clothes, all appearing to belong to the same force. The young man received the announcement with a calm expression, but there was a glint of satisfaction in his eyes.

Kyrian heard the nearby murmurs.

“It’s him… The Crimson Family.”

“The family beneath only the Sky Family.”

“So it was the Crimson Family?”

Kyrian did not know that family deeply, but he stored the information in his mind. That force was probably much more powerful than the ordinary families of the Caravan.

The steward placed the flask into the hands of a representative of the family, then returned to the center of the stage.

The grand auction had ended. But no one left the plaza immediately; everyone was still absorbing the events of the past few hours.

The steward looked at the crowd, her expression calm.

“With this, we have reached the end.” Her voice echoed throughout the plaza.

“The final grand auction of the Heavenly Descent is now concluded.”

Some people began dispersing, while others were still talking about the items they had acquired. There were satisfied winners, frustrated cultivators, people lamenting that they had spent too much, and those who had lost their items by the smallest of margins.

The steward raised her hand one last time.

“The Heavenly Descent Festival…” She paused.

“…has also come to an end.”

The words spread throughout the plaza. For several days, that city had been filled with competitions, auctions, cultivators, merchants, and visitors from countless regions. Now, everything was coming to an end.

Kyrian stood still for a few seconds, looking at the enormous stage and then at the gigantic Sky Tower behind it. The Festival had ended.

And tomorrow… He would leave the Sky Caravan.

Kyrian unconsciously touched his spatial ring. Inside it was the Necklace of Three Harmonies. The Secret Technique he had obtained in the competition was also there. And there were still all the other resources he had accumulated during those days.

He had come to the Sky Caravan mainly because of his curiosity. But he was leaving that place with much more than he had expected, knowledge, experience, new techniques, and, most importantly, a much deeper understanding of himself.

Kyrian turned around. Sun Luguo was by his side. Lio Han also remained nearby.

The old blacksmith looked at him.

“So…” Kyrian raised an eyebrow.

“Are you ready to leave tomorrow?”

Kyrian looked at the Sky Tower one last time.

“Yes.” His voice remained calm.

“It’s time.”

And as the last people began leaving the plaza, the Heavenly Descent Festival officially came to an end. For most, that simply meant the conclusion of a great celebration. For Kyrian, it meant the continuation of his journey, a journey toward the Central Territory.
