New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 2167: Intelligent Protos (2)

Time continued to pass, and in a flash, another thirty-five minutes had passed since Protos had separated from Ajax.

'It's time to return.'

Even though there were still fifteen minutes before the bloodline boost disappeared, Protos was far from their temporary home.

Once the bloodline boost disappeared, dealing with incoming hordes while restraining thirty Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys would become troublesome.

Moreover, he had already achieved much more than he had expected.

Therefore, Protos decided to return with the thirty Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys he had captured.

'Swiish!'

Protos immediately headed back towards the cave.

During the journey, he encountered another large horde of Flaming Monkeys and captured twenty more Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys with the help of his ten Quasi-Divine Flaming Monkeys.

By the time he reached the cave ten minutes later, he had collected a total of fifty unconscious Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys.

'That was the right decision.'

Protos was still shaken by the hordes of Flaming Monkeys he had encountered during the hunt.

He shuddered to think about what might have happened if his bloodline boost had disappeared while he was surrounded by them.

Fortunately, he had returned in time.

Despite dealing with so many King Realm Flaming Monkeys, his cultivation was still stuck at Peak Elemental Spirit King Realm.

"Oh? You're back with Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys?"

Ajax was a little surprised to see Protos return with ten evolved Quasi-Divine Flaming Monkeys, each carrying five unconscious Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys.

'I was wondering why Protos still didn't break through to the Emperor Realm. So, this is the reason.'

Since Ajax would get the system notifications regarding Protos' rewards for killing the Elemental Beasts, he was a bit confused by not seeing the breakthrough system notifications.

Ajax was sure that if Protos killed at least 10 Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys, he would definitely break through to the Elemental Spirit Emperor Realm.

He also knew that the moment these Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys saw Protos alone, they would attack him instead of hiding.

Nevertheless, seeing Protos bringing back the Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys, Ajax was a bit surprised.

'Children really do learn from what they see.'

For the past few days, it was Ajax who had been the one knocking out the Flaming Monkeys and collecting them for his experiments.

Now, Protos was doing exactly the same thing.

'Forget it. The rewards from evolving and killing them should be much greater than killing them directly.'

Compared to killing the Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys directly, it was obviously better to evolve them before killing them for more rewards.

With that thought, Ajax praised Protos.

"You did a good job, Protos."

"Thank you, Summoning Master!"

What child didn't like their parents' praise? Protos was no different, as he smiled happily at Ajax's praise.

Soon, Ajax picked one of the unconscious Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys and injected 5,000 units of Divine Essence of Nature into its body.

'Swiish!'

The Flaming Monkey's crystalline body began transforming as golden-red flames surged around it.

'Kacha!'

In the next moment, its body evolved into that of a Quasi-Divine Elemental Beast.

'Roar!'

The old injuries disappeared from the newly evolved Flaming Monkey, and sensing that its battle prowess had increased to the Peak Emperor Realm, it immediately became excited.

Its eyes turned blood-red, and it released a powerful roar before charging towards Protos.

"Fight!"

Since there were still five minutes before the bloodline boost disappeared, Ajax wanted Protos to fight the evolved Emperor Realm Flaming Monkey.

Protos immediately took a fighting stance.

[Inferno Flame Bullet]!

'Swiish!'

A blazing bullet shot towards the incoming Flaming Monkey.

'Boom!'

The bullet struck its crystalline body, forcing it to retreat a few steps.

However, the evolved Flaming Monkey quickly recovered and lunged towards Protos with its sharp claws extended.

'Let's see how much you've improved in the past hour, Protos.'

Ajax stood aside and watched the battle with interest.

For any Elemental Spirit at King Realm, there would hardly be any improvement in an hour; however, it was different in the Elemental Source Land.

As long as the Elemental Spirits killed the Elemental Beasts in the Elemental Source Land, they could quickly increase their power.

Even though Protos' cultivation had improved, he had awakened two new skills, and all his old skills had reached perfection.

So, of course, Ajax wanted to see how powerful Protos had become now.

[Inferno Flame Bullet]!

[Inferno Flame Bullet]!

'Swiish! Swiish!'

On the other hand, Protos repeatedly released Inferno Flame Bullets towards the evolved Flaming Monkey.

However, the Flaming Monkey easily dodged the incoming attacks with its incredible speed.

'Let's increase the number of bullets.'

Protos immediately controlled the flames around him, condensing ten Inferno Flame Bullets at once.

Although the power of each bullet would decrease by 90 percent, Protos wasn't planning to kill the evolved Flaming Monkey with these attacks.

It wasn't that he didn't want to kill it with his Inferno Flame Bullets. Rather, even if he released a single bullet at full power, it would only lightly injure the Flaming Monkey.

So, Protos had planned something else.

'Swiish!'

The ten bullets shot towards the evolved Flaming Monkey from different directions, covering almost every possible escape route except one.

'Roar!'

The evolved Flaming Monkey immediately noticed the attacks and moved towards the only opening available to it.

However, that was exactly what Protos wanted!

[Absolute Flame Explosion]!

'Boom!'

A small fireball shot towards the evolved Flaming Monkey, landing perfectly on its crystalline body before exploding.

The powerful explosion engulfed the Flaming Monkey, sending its body flying backwards.

'Kacha! Kacha!'

Numerous cracks appeared across its crystalline body, and some of the heavily damaged parts were nearly shattered.

However, before Protos could launch another attack, the cracks began healing at an incredible speed.

'As expected of an evolved Emperor Realm Flaming Monkey. Its recovery speed is frightening.'

Seeing the Flaming Monkey recover so quickly, Ajax couldn't help but praise its vitality.

Even though its body had been severely damaged by Protos' attack, it was already recovering at a visible rate.

'If I give it enough time, it might completely recover from that attack.'

Nevertheless, Protos had no intention of giving his opponent that opportunity.

[Inferno Flame Bullet]!

Ten Inferno Flame Bullets appeared around Protos and shot towards the evolved Flaming Monkey.

'Roar?'

The evolved Flaming Monkey had learned from its previous experience.

Even though its speed had greatly decreased after being hit by the [Absolute Flame Explosion], it still had enough speed to dodge the incoming bullets.

The small fireball had severely injured it, whereas the ten incoming bullets appeared considerably weaker.

Therefore, it decided to take the incoming bullets head-on and dodge the small fireball that might follow them.

'What a simple-minded beast.'

Protos couldn't help but smile at its decision.

This time, he had no intention of using Absolute Flame Explosion.

Instead, he focused on a single Inferno Flame Bullet.

[Inferno Flame Bullet]!

'Boom!'

The first ten bullets struck the evolved Flaming Monkey, causing it to stagger slightly.

However, before it could recover, the next bullet arrived.

'Kacha!'

A huge hole appeared in the Flaming Monkey's crystalline body!

'...'

The evolved Flaming Monkey stared at Protos in shock.

It couldn't understand why the Inferno Flame Bullet, which had barely damaged it moments ago, had suddenly become so powerful.

Unfortunately for it, Protos didn't give it any time to figure out the answer.
